I understand that I am to use hot tap water, but I was just told by customer support that this model does not actually heat the water or maintain the heat. ProHeat? Really? Please don't advertise this any longer if the actual heating portion was discontinued from the last model. Please stop misleading customers that purchase your product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite cleaner until the belt broke and after ordering 4 different ones never found one that worked. So disappointed!!! Gave up and ordered a different carpet cleaner and it is not as good and cost more. Will be shopping for another brand.

We have washed all the carpets in our home, 75 yards, spiral staircase, and sofa. Still on first 1/2 gallon of detergent. We have a "old dog" who has an accident now and then. The pet/urine/stain remover is absolutely best product we have used. No stains, no smell with just one cleaning. The machine and detergent handled our light beige wool rug effortlessly. We were able to remove stains that even the pro cleaners were unable to remove. Best news for us is this machine plus cost of the cleaning agents is less than one professional cleaning. Exceeded my expectation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in need of upgrading from my 20 year old Hoover. doing my due diligence in research, I found this model which appeared to be worth the investment. I must agree, it is. I love how it cleans, easy of use as well as clean up afterwards. My 20 year old Hoover, was huge, slow and a pain to clean up afterwards. looking forward to finishing the house.

I dont have any pets so I cant speak to that aspect of the machine, nor did I try the furniture attachment as we have leather. What I can speak to is that it cleans carpets well! The design is great and allows for easy filling, emptying and cleaning of the machine. The weight of it is perfect as to allow for nice maneuverability and for great suction. I have read some other reviews mentioning very wet carpets and long dry times - but my experience is the carpet dries in about 3 hours - but I do live in Arizona. I would recommend that if you have this issue - just go over the area again using just the suction (no solution). It would be nice if it held more water and had its own heater for the water, but then you are adding complexity and cost. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to help maintain their carpets...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box cannot install the screw into the machine. The hole for the screw wasn't even made could look in there with a flashlight. Really don't want to have to return the whole thing and tear it all apart just for simple whole missing.

I thought the steamer worked great. Great suction power and left the carpet smelling great. Cons are that it is very heavy and it will leave clumps of hair. I vacuumed prior and it must have had more suction power than my vacuumed and it left hair, in clumps all over the floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best carpet cleaner/shampooer that I've ever used. It has pulled up spots and stains that I thought would NEVER come out. My office has the same model and it pulled a stain out in front of our front lobby door that was embedded mud, rock salt (we live in snow country). I knew that my wife and I had an excellent machine once I saw what it did at the office. I would highly recommend--it is well worth the money. It cleaned our carpets at home and they almost look new again. VERY satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The suction for extracting is good compared to my older Hoover Max Extract. To see what kind of suction the Bissell has, I ran a wet pass and two dry passes with my Hoover and then a dry pass with the Bissell. The Bissell picked up water in one pass that the Hoover left behind after two dry passes. Beyond that the Bissell didn't really clean any better than my older machine. The rollers and spray pattern being narrower than the rear wheels seems a bit odd. The hose for spot cleaning feels cheap and is very stiff. And who builds a carpet cleaner with a clean water reservoir that holds more than the dirty water reservoir. I had to empty the dirty water twice before the clean was empty. My Hoover Max Extract is 1:1 so when the dirty water reservoir is full, the clean water is empty. That makes sense! It's a bit difficult to tell how much water you've left in the carpet with the Bissel.

Cheaply made just unbelievable how awful this carpet cleaner is! It wont suck up the water put on the rug so I had to use 3 towels! It is so flimsy the hose is a complete joke it doesn't stretch and it's the worst kind of plastic on the whole machine it feels like it's gonna fall over and melt on its own.
