[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an old Bissell carpet cleaner and although the dirty water tank was small, it sure took a little longer to fill up! This newer ProHeat 2X has a large dirty water tank but it is very deceiving as it only holds half the amount of what the size is!! I just got my Carpet Cleaner last week so I hurried and put it together so I could try it out and I had to empty the stupid dirty water about every 5 minutes!!!!!! SO ANNOYING!! Not sure I would buy this ever again!! It cleaned fairly well, but the tank reservoir needs MUCH IMPROVEMENT.. A lot of money to spend for not well designed machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The suction for extracting is good compared to my older Hoover Max Extract. To see what kind of suction the Bissell has, I ran a wet pass and two dry passes with my Hoover and then a dry pass with the Bissell. The Bissell picked up water in one pass that the Hoover left behind after two dry passes. Beyond that the Bissell didn't really clean any better than my older machine. The rollers and spray pattern being narrower than the rear wheels seems a bit odd. The hose for spot cleaning feels cheap and is very stiff. And who builds a carpet cleaner with a clean water reservoir that holds more than the dirty water reservoir. I had to empty the dirty water twice before the clean was empty. My Hoover Max Extract is 1:1 so when the dirty water reservoir is full, the clean water is empty. That makes sense! It's a bit difficult to tell how much water you've left in the carpet with the Bissel.

This machine is leaving black clumps instead of cleaning. Checked every seal and roll rinsed it out and restarted. Nothing worked it came right back. These clumps get stuck in machine even right after being turned on. Dirty water tank barely fills. I dont have pets but chose this because I have 3 kids and I have some fears of what this machine may do to my carpet now. Unless there is a fix, i will go back to my old hoover that leaked water when turned off over this. The dirty tank was always full and the water was darker even though you couldn't tell by looking at the carpets it was a little more gratifying but just less options. So i thought i would try this one and its not doing any better.

As a pet owner of both old and very young pets I absolutely love this machine ! It worked on old stains, new stains and even the stains that my sons have left on the carpets! It was easy to use and clean. The only issue was that as I cleaned the rugs the cord wouldn't stay wrapped on the handle and I kept stepping on it.

I have 3 dachshunds, 2 males that love to mark, and a 15 week old female puppy, and a geriatric husky shepherd mix. There were a lot of stains. Between the machine and the solution (Bissell Professional Urine Eliminator with Oxy Clean) the stains came up in 2 passes. Some of the tougher stains took 4 passes. I like how it comes apart to clean. I have has several different upright cleaners and I am impressed with this one. I have had the spin brush kind, and the older Pet Proheat, and I am glad they got rid of the bladder container. I still have another brand that cleans well, but it is heavy and the brush only turns when applying cleaning fluid.

We have white (well they were 20 years ago) carpets in a heavy traffic area, two small dogs, one big dog with an illness which cause gastric issues, and kids. I have the rugs cleaned professionally twice a year and also own a small bissell portable system. Not to mention I have used every spot cleaning product on the market for pet urine pet stains and high traffic. While wondering around a box store recently I started checking out different upright cleaners. I did more research and the hubby decided to go get one...worst case I return it. Holy cow what a great job. First use I did just the express clean and am thrilled! Easy to use, I really took my time with slow paces, didn't move any furniture, and only did a hall and connected office. The system without water etc in it is about the same weight as my dyson cleaner. For the cost (which is 50% less than having the pros come and do a mediocre job I complain about) it's a dream! 45 min later it's dry and we are thrilled. Eager to do the deep max clean. I am certain if we kept up with regular cleanings the rugs will stay so clean

This worked great! I used this on a carpet that had previously been cleaned with a rug doctor. There was a spot they couldn't get out. My Bissell took it right out. My son said this machine is a beast. He's right! Dirt doesn't stand a chance. Other reviews say it doesn't suck up the water. I'm not sure what they're talking about. I thought it did a great job. It was so easy to clean! The cover comes off so you can get out all the pet hair. So much better than my old Bissell. I am so happy I bought this machine. I am one happy cleaner!

I wanted to love this so bad, however...I now have 4 different vacuums because I have the Cross wave WetVac (my favorite) a handheld for under table quick messes, a regular vacuum that is seeing the end, and now a carpet cleaner PetProx2 that I was hoping would actually work. There's no suction power in the attachments but it does deep clean a vacuumed carpet. Mine are new so it was a pointless buy. It' doesn't even do very great with my English Bulldogs fur on couches (that she is not on yet)

Bought this machine directly from BISSELL. Arrived in 1 box about 1 week later. Had to put it together which took about 2.5 minutes and was dumb easy. Watched all the videos to mix the soaps/chemicals and care for machine. I did 2 rooms and stairs. This machine works great! It operates so easy that I will be cleaning my rugs on a regular basis. No renting the rug doctor and killing myself to get as much done in a 24 hour period before returning the machine. I also got the stair tool. Wow, it works great. Don't fool yourself stains/spots take time to work them out but the machine is comfortable to use and with a twist of the tip the stair tool gets in the cracks and round curves at the front of each step. My clean up was easy and is ready for the next job. This machine is going to be very easy for the occasional pet accidents too. The only thing I could possibly think of to improve this system is on the stair tool. Make it a little stiffer to rotate to each setting. I love this machine and was a great purchase.

I bought this for 2 things.. 1. Clean my furniture. 2. Clean my floors. So I Used it on my chair first to see if it will take the water stains out -it sure did (Express clean) Then i used it on my carpet my dog who is 13 had bladder problems and you can start to see where i cleaned and smelled like urine. So i tried using the deep clean on my floors. Works well and carpet definitely looks cleaner. Mind you i lived in the house for a year and i don't know when the last time or ever it was shampooed. The amount of dirt that came up was unbelievable. I also bought the warranty plan as well.
