After thoroughly reading the instructions, this product was pretty user friendly. I just got this and used it twice already on my carpet (over a spot where my cat marked) and it took the odor out very nicely. I cleaned before bed so that it had time to dry and it worked great. Definitely make sure you clean out the vacuum every time (it is so gross, but satisfying). I think this will make it last longer as well.

I recently moved into my dream townhouse and despite the lease saying previous tenant must have carpets professionally cleaned, this either did not happen or didn't happen effectively. I literally could not go upstairs without being extremely upset, and the stench also reached the floor below. It was not habitable for me. Two bedrooms, a hallway, and stairs took a very long time, six hours last night and another six this morning but it was very bad and your technique gets better as you go! I am so grateful for making the right decision. Tank could be bigger, I filled it at least twenty times. You should use laundry detergent and oxyclean for awful situations. Keep an eye on the tank or your efforts will be wasted. Used the pet tool for stairs but ultimately brought the heavy unit down each step. Glad the reviews were legit. Can't wait for my furniture to arrive.

Purchasing this Bissell Pet Pro was absolutely the right choice! The Quick Start Guide had me up and running in no time. The power of the machine along with the Bissell pet stain eliminating cleaning formula is a total win, win! My carpets have never looked (and smelled) so good. The dirty water tank is very easy to remove and empty without a mess. Cleaning the machine couldn't be any simpler since the brush roll cover comes off which allows easy access to both the rollers and the crevices on the cover. No regrets!

The machine was very easy to assemble. Everything snaps together and you only have to screw in one screw. You can get started right away. I only have one cat and couldn't believe how much fur came out of the carpet. I am very sensitive to smells and the cleaner did not bother me. My daughter spilled purple shampoo on her carpet and this machine cleaned that right up. I had my carpets professionally cleaned before Christmas and this machine did just as good of a job. It paid for itself after one use. I also LOVE how easy it is to clean. You do have to empty the dirty water take a few times but that only takes moments. Bissell thought of everything!

I got this product due to amazing reviews. The first time I used it I've noticed the water for so much dirt and it was first time cleaning those carpets. We tend not to walk on carpets but accidents happens. First, I've noticed how horribly heavy it is and I have back issues on and off. Do anything but lift it. It's very large as well and it might be harder to find space for it. Be very careful with any corners as plastic front piece is fragile. I assumed this works on tiles, but sadly does not. Still, having 3 carpets It does the work needed. I believe 1-2 months later I decided to wash carpets again and my child spilled some sticky sauce. The sticky part needed Kors of soaking and aiming at the sticky spot wasn't easy. I had to go over it several times to see the difference but it did clean it out. Carpets seems crispy but odor from detergent is slightly bothersome. Manageable. It picks up when smaller dusty or hair particles too. Look at this dirty dark water. Amazing. I am only confused is it possible that my carpet showed same dark water since first use and we don't walk in shoes inside our home. It cleans it so well. Wow. Again, it makes me think did it clean it so well last time, or does it require a rinse as someone has mentioned. I use hot water as machine won't heat up the water unfortunately. I'm going to try and wash it again today (two days later) and see if water comes out cleaner and do second round as a rinse. This would tell me the effect. The Bissell customer service is amazing and any parts or anything you need they'll ship right away. Warranty is long compared to other companies.

This carpet cleaner is very easy to assemble. The instructions are clearly written; the machine is easy to handle and very easy to clean. It seems to cling very closely to the floor and does a terrific job of getting up tough pet stains, dark patches created by foot traffic, and dust and lint accumulations at the sides and corners of the room.

I love this carpet cleaner! I've tried using rentals before and it just can't compare to how well the bissel proheat 2x works! I have 2 kids under the age of 5, plus a large dog so you can just imagine the havoc they wreak on my carpet. But the machine did what it needed to do and erased about 2 years of dirt and stains from my carpet. The only con I have is that I have to refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank several times to clean my living/dining area. However, this is not a deal breaker for me because it really did clean my carpet so well and I'm still happy.

Needed a replacement for an eight year old carpet cleaner, that other "H" brand. This Bissell blows it out of the water!! It's so much easier to use, to take apart and clean up is a breeze. My carpet looks new again. I no longer feel like I'm pushing around a tank, I'm zipping along with a sleek sports car. Bissell has a winner!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an old Bissell carpet cleaner and although the dirty water tank was small, it sure took a little longer to fill up! This newer ProHeat 2X has a large dirty water tank but it is very deceiving as it only holds half the amount of what the size is!! I just got my Carpet Cleaner last week so I hurried and put it together so I could try it out and I had to empty the stupid dirty water about every 5 minutes!!!!!! SO ANNOYING!! Not sure I would buy this ever again!! It cleaned fairly well, but the tank reservoir needs MUCH IMPROVEMENT.. A lot of money to spend for not well designed machine!

This is my second Bissell and by far the best. I love this machine. it is light with good suction for water removal. the dual brushes are brilliant. Buying the machine form Bissell was the best purchase option. Right out of the box is everything you need. I was so excited that as soon as I completed the minor assembly, I shampooed all the carpet in the house. The carpet came out very clean after being dirty for several months. I thought That I was not going to buy another carper cleaner but after employing a major cleaning company to clean the carpets at $145.00 and getting subpar results the choice became clear, Back to Bissell and I am so glad that I did.
