I used to have a Hoover and it always left behind clumps of dirt/dust clots when I would use it. The Bissell does not. It cleans very well. I have three children and very old carpets, so I can't say that it got all of the set in stains out, but I can say that I am happy with the results I got. They look 10x better. They are softer and feel so much cleaner to walk on. I didn't expect perfect results because some stains are near impossible to get out...i.e. reds...but it got out so much more than I expected. It is so easy to change out when it's time to empty the tank and refill. It's also very easy to clean. The hose attachment is easy to use as well. I love the spot shot feature. It helps get into those set in stains. To me it was worth the purchase over hiring a carpet cleaner for the same price. Because I most likely would have gotten the same results for the same price. I highly recommend this Bissell even if you don't have pets. It cleans great.

I was quite impressed by this Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution pet Pro Carpet Cleaner and the way that worked extremely well to lift stains and get my carpets extremely clean without having to go over the area several times. I felt like one of the best things about it is the fact that you can actually trigger a pre trainer from a foot plate on the cleaning machine itself. The pretreater helps to remove stuck-on spots and stains but also makes it simpler to clean period another really great features the fact that it has and upholstery tool that you can actually use dry and also wet to clean off furniture. It has a removable brush cover that makes it extremely easy to clean the rotating brush. I also felt like cleaner and easily moved around to clean all different areas in my house. I actually have two dogs and a cat and have major issues with hair and this cleaner definitely held up to it and had a very strong suction. I was also very easy to clean. I used it in all different places in my house I like the fact that it even got out stuck on pet stains from my carpets. I would definitely recommend it simply because can be used in different ways and on different services within your home but also is very powerful and lightweight enough to move around

I have tried 3 different carpet cleaners and I have to say that this is by far the most easiest machine to use! I loved it the very first time I tried it! The water tanks on it were the perfect weight for me and were very good ergonomically! And cleaning the parts after was a breeze! Easiest cleaner to disassemble and clean. Thank you Bissell! You have a lifelong customer!

The machine has a great power and works for deep cleaning, but leaves too many hair of my dog in the carpet specially wet, after you finish cleaning with this machine, you still need to pass another vacuum to aspirate all the wet hair loose in the carpet. For me that's why it's 4 star not 5.

Overall, this has been a great performer. Well worth the money. What I like about this machine, is the ease of cleaning the containers and parts. With 3 dogs that shed. This beast picks up the dog hairs. I liked it so much, that I went out and purchased a Crosswave as well for my tile and hardwood floors.

I've used Bissel machines for decades. Love them but this machine is by far the best! Great design. Great function. The BEST is how easy it is to clean!!!!! Can't believe how easy it is. I own an extreme cleaning company and have put this machine in my equipment inventory. Thank you!

Didn't work that well: - Did not extract well; even after an extra extraction-only pass, carpets were still squishy wet - I couldn't tell that cleaning was all that great: on my typical carpet, even after 2 shampoo passes and an extraction pass, the water was still coming up dirty; it didn't seem that much better than my old Hoover or a Rug Doctor rental - Dirty water tank would fill to just 1 quart (I measured) then extraction would stop, and tank had to be emptied; so I had to stop and empty the dirty tank 2-3 times for each clean tank. Ridiculous. Besides that, many awful useability/ergonomic issues just made it difficult to work with: - Clean water inlet is small & inaccessible at a weird angle, making it hard to fill water & measure solution (my old Hoover had a large cap, with solution measured in-cap) - Clean water tank grip is hard to hold onto, easy to slip out of your fingers (Hoover had a full handle) - You have to lean down to find the small weird-shaped on/off button (Hoover had easy foot switch) - The dirty water tank's outlet has a rubber plug which is difficult to rotate out of the way, then back (again, old Hoover had a large cap) - Occasionally you have to remove the dirty water tank's internal mechanism, which is difficult and it falls apart (Hoover didn't have this at all) The Pre-Treater is just a silly squirt-gun thing that sprays the water+solution mix into one spot at the side; I cannot imagine why you would wheel this machine around the house in order to pre-treat spots; worse - it turns on accidentally because its switch is near the release lever, or snags on furniture There's just very little that Bissell did get right. This cleaner is a big step backwards in useability/ergonomics - things that Hoover figured out years ago. I guess I'll return it and go back to Hoover.

We are a family of a German Shepherd a Doberman and two parrots if you have any of these types of animals you no they can be messy. Occasionally there are spills on the carpet coffee or wine. This Machine is amazing I love it it was easy to clean the rugs. I also cleaned the sofa. Everything dried quickly. It's so amazing to have A machine that does a wonderful job at a reasonable price.

This is the best carpet cleaner I have ever used. First off, right out of the box the assembly is so quick and easy. Took me about 5 minutes to put the necessary parts together. Next was the setup for cleaning. Again the instructions were very simple. I filled the tank with hot water to the fill line then added the cleaning solution to the deep clean line. I was already on my way to cleaning. Plugged the machine in, turned it on, and was instantly cleaning my carpet. It was so quick and easy I couldn't believe that I did my whole room in about 10 minutes. I was shocked at how easy and efficient it was. Next was the cleaning process. I took out the dirty water tank (boy was it dirty!) and emptied it out. Rinsed water through it and the other tank. Next was cleaning out the brushes and other plastic parts by the roller. Couldn't have been easier to pop out of the machine and right into the sink. Done in five minutes. The whole process was so quick and easy it blew my mind. The carpet took about 5 hours to completely dry and it came out fantastic. I had stains from my dog bringing in mud and soda spill stains. All completely gone and the carpet is like new. I couldn't be any happier with this product. I also love the attachment for on the spot treatments and the spray mode to get those tough spots. These will really come in handy to maintain the carpet. I highly recommend this machine and I will continue to use this on all my carpets in my home.

The ProHeat2x Carpet Cleaner was easy to assemble. It works good on both carpet and floors, I really like the sprayer that you use for spot clean up it really work good for tuff spots.
