First, let me start off by saying I still have my 25-year-old Bissell Big Green Machine. That says a lot about the quality of Bissell products. When I received my Bissell revolution Pet Pro I was a little scared. I thought it would be difficult to assemble, but it wasn't so bad. The instructions were very simple to follow. Upon using the Bissell Revolution for the first time I was happy with the ease-of-use and the way it got rid of "old" stains on my carpets. I did pre-treat some areas first. The majority of the spots and stains came out. After shampooing the carpet, I noticed that it remained only mildly damp. Which is good. While cleaning carpets is my main use I loved using the handheld attachments on my upholstered furniture. After cleaning one side of my couch, I couldn't believe the amount of cat hair that was removed. It was definitely noticeable. The unit was very easy to fill, maneuver, and empty. Cleaning the unit however, was a little more time-consuming. But I guess if you want to keep your unit working properly, it must be done. I've read in the manual that there is an optional hard floor attachment which can be purchased separately. I intend on purchasing this piece to also use on my hardwood floors. I am confident it will work just as well as it did on my carpets. I love that the unit can be used both on carpets and floors. This is very convenient for me. I am very glad I stayed with Bissell to upgrade my 25-year-old big green machine.

This carpet cleaner went above expectations (and they were high). I was very impressed with the machine. I had a carpet cleaner from another manufacture, and was expecting similar results. I was amazed at how much better it cleaned, and how easy it was to clean itself. One thing I liked was the ease with which you can see how much clean water is left. I don't write reviews, but was so impressed I felt I should this time. Thanks Bissell, you have a return customer for sure, and one that will tell his friends about it!

Got this product because our dogs have accidents on occasion and this cleaner removes any stain by going over a few times, we even had a dried stain for weeks that we couldn't get out but this did, also works wonders on upholstery with the hose and attachments!

I have 2 dogs, no matter how much I vacuum, when I clean my carpet the nozzle gets clogged with pet hair. I don't understand why it is not removable for cleaning? Only thing I don't like. Design flaw I would have the design department look at and change, would make cleaning eaiser

Stopped spraying water the same day I bought it. I also dislike that it doesn't suck up the lint that the rollers remove from the carpet. It just balls up and then will randomly drop them on the carpet. It's really annoying and it's more work as you need to pick them up yourself. Another issue I had was that it seemed to spray dirty water. Prior to it not working anymore. When I would release water it would spray dark water which I didn't like and would take a while to remove, especially on a light color carpet. I just hope that returning it at the store isn't a hassle.

I was quite impressed by this Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution pet Pro Carpet Cleaner and the way that worked extremely well to lift stains and get my carpets extremely clean without having to go over the area several times. I felt like one of the best things about it is the fact that you can actually trigger a pre trainer from a foot plate on the cleaning machine itself. The pretreater helps to remove stuck-on spots and stains but also makes it simpler to clean period another really great features the fact that it has and upholstery tool that you can actually use dry and also wet to clean off furniture. It has a removable brush cover that makes it extremely easy to clean the rotating brush. I also felt like cleaner and easily moved around to clean all different areas in my house. I actually have two dogs and a cat and have major issues with hair and this cleaner definitely held up to it and had a very strong suction. I was also very easy to clean. I used it in all different places in my house I like the fact that it even got out stuck on pet stains from my carpets. I would definitely recommend it simply because can be used in different ways and on different services within your home but also is very powerful and lightweight enough to move around

Bought it to extract cat urine and vomit from carpet. It did just that!!! I rented a Rug Doctor a month before I bought the Bissell. The Bissell got the smell and dirt the Doctor left behind. The Rug Doctor was a bit tougher on hard spots. But the Bissell did way better on extracting smells. My house smells fresh again!!

I have owned several Bissell steam cleaning products over the past ten years or so. One of them was a SpotBot, which has been working well for a few years. The other three were uprights (such as this ProHeat 2X® Revolution® Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner | 1986), and all three of them had hand tool attachments that stopped spraying water, rendering them useless. It seems like the spray button stops working or the hoses get clogged, even though I only ever use the recommended Bissell brand cleaning fluid for each device. While the previous ones lasted at least a dozen uses before no longer working, this ProHeat 2X® Revolution® Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner stopped working after the second use. Bissell products are possibly the least-reliable products I have ever purchased. I hope to never have to purchase another one, again.

I am constantly looking for a better carpet cleaner as I have two cats that vomit a lot due to the inherited disorder of the digestive system. I am very glad that PINCHME gave me an opportunity to try out Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner 1986. After a month using this machine (several times per week on the vomit spots), I am beyond pleased with its performance and quality. This machine cleans really well. It is effortless to remove stains on carpets. The carpet is soft after drying. I also like that the water tank is easily removed and cleaned. The 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool can vacuum in dry mode and remove spots and stains in wet modes. The whole cleaning process is actually very fun and fulfilling. I highly recommend this product even if you don't have pet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For something that is marketed for pet owners,this products is a hair pusher. It balls up under the brushes until a nasty wet ball of hair is left on the floor. You can tell the developers do not own pets. Sure the carpet gets cleaned eventually but most of the water stays in the rug. Out of one gallon of water it used the machine recovered maybe a cup of liquid.
