I purchased this to replace a larger heavier cleaner. I liked this model as it is lightweight and can easily be cleaned. I used it yesterday for the first time and I did like the results. Yes, you do need to refill the clean water tank often however I knew this when I purchased the item. I did a deep clean for the first use and it did a great job! I should have done a couple extra passes to pull water out as the carpet was still damp this morning but I had some fans running during the day. The machine was easy to fill and empty and I loved that I could cleaner the brush area. I will use this more often as it is so easy to operate.

We have white (well they were 20 years ago) carpets in a heavy traffic area, two small dogs, one big dog with an illness which cause gastric issues, and kids. I have the rugs cleaned professionally twice a year and also own a small bissell portable system. Not to mention I have used every spot cleaning product on the market for pet urine pet stains and high traffic. While wondering around a box store recently I started checking out different upright cleaners. I did more research and the hubby decided to go get one...worst case I return it. Holy cow what a great job. First use I did just the express clean and am thrilled! Easy to use, I really took my time with slow paces, didn't move any furniture, and only did a hall and connected office. The system without water etc in it is about the same weight as my dyson cleaner. For the cost (which is 50% less than having the pros come and do a mediocre job I complain about) it's a dream! 45 min later it's dry and we are thrilled. Eager to do the deep max clean. I am certain if we kept up with regular cleanings the rugs will stay so clean

I love this thing, The first day I got it, I used it on my living room carpet, I ended up doing my whole house the same day, Then called my daughter and told her if she wants her carpets cleaned to just call me. HAHA I would have never done this with my old carpet cleaner because it was just to much stress to clean it or refill it.. and very heavy.

You WON'T be disappointed for ONE SECOND if you purchase this awesome machine! I purchased a few days before I introduced a new puppy into our home. Needless to say, she's had a few accidents in the house. Clean up PERFECTLY with this gem! My neighbors down the street had one of their kids throw up in the car , and I wheeled it down a few doors to help this young family clean up the mess in their car. You'd never be able to tell anything happened. Clean, and fresh smelling! I think I convinced them they should buy one! Nobody should live without this! I ordered the hardwood floor attachment too. Can't wait to try that feature too!

Well, the on / off button works and unfortunately that's about it. Nothing sprays out of cleaner which is probably a good thing since every time I pull back on machine it literally pulls apart. Have tried everything but duct tape to hold it together (won't be going there). I move machine forward, spray button doesn't release cleaner, pull back on machine and am left holding the handle w/ tank attached in my hand. Rest of machine hasn't moved. Thought this would be a great machine. So mad at myself for having gotten rid of old machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum doesn't wash the carpet: It sprays the water, but doesn't collect back a lot. You can't just push spray, you actually have to squick it. It is heavy and not easy to use and on top of that it is very noisy. Wish I made better choice. Not recommend at all.

The unit does a decent job at cleaning. But the designers chose form over function... A one gallon fresh water supply but a dirty water tank of maybe a half gallon, and by the time you factor in water that stays in the carpet, you end up wasting a great deal of time dumping water and refilling... They would have been just as well served to make the fresh water a half gallon as well, or better yet, find a way to increase the dirty water tank to the same size as your fresh water... And speaking of the dirty water tank, it drains "easily", but not completely, again, poor design... as you are pouring the water out, there is always a bit left in the tank unless you waste more time rocking it back and forth to get the last of the water out.. If you don't, then you end up pouring dirty water all over everything once you set the unit back upright Wanted to like this unit, but clearly the person who designed this, never planned on using it.

We have three messy tweens and an older cat which means lots of messes. We usually schedule professional carpet and upholstery cleanings a few times a year, but of course, it gets costly. I have tried a lot of spot and carpet cleaners but none are as powerful as the Bissell ProHeat. It deep cleans stains, no matter how old they are. I love that it's lightweight and simple enough to use any time I have a spill or the cat has an accident. I also love the express option for quick cleaning when company is on their way. The Bissell ProHeat has already saved us several pro cleanings and done away with pet odors for good.

I had a professional carpet cleaner come in after my 20-year old cat died. The carpet looked OK and smelled OK but one of my neighbors who is extremely allergic to cats came to visit and went home totally stuffed up. I borrowed my neighbor's Bissell pet special and I couldn't believe what this little gem got out of my carpet. I don't think I need to have a professional cleaner come again. I'm a happy carpet cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Hoover carpet cleaner died this morning (less than 2 years old by the way) so I decided to go with the Bissell as a replacement and I'm happy I did. It outperformed the Hoover and it wasn't even close. We were debating on replacing our carpeting but the Bissell gave it new life and our house smells so fresh now. Awesome product!
