While this machine does not live up to Bissell's implied claim that it is as good as a rental deep carpet cleaner, it is a good home carpet cleaner. It will not replace annual professional carpet cleaning but does good job of routine carpet cleaning. This unit is replacing a Hoover Platinum we've had for years. The dual beater bars on the Bissell do a better job of removing stains than the row of rotating brushes on the Hoover. It is also much simpler to use than the Hoover. Both the clean water/cleaner and waste water tanks are easy to get to and remove from the unit, but, the water tank is smaller than I would like. I had to refill it 3 times to clean our 16 x 20 family room which I did not move all the furniture out of. We are a family with 2 dogs and would definitely recommend this carpet cleaner.

It's perfect for household cleaning. Since it's easy to use, so we can use it more frequently. The user manual is clear to understand. the overall design of the machine is very ergonomics. The most surprise for me is the stair-cleaning attachment which is so handy and effective, so I don't need to buy a portable one to do the same stair job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner does NOT heat the water. If you are expect a machine with hot water or steam this is NOT the machine for you. The water is as hot as the water you put in and you better clean quickly if you want it to stay hot! I even called Bissel to ask if it heats the water and was told it did!

I recieved my Proheat 2x pet pro carpet cleans from pinchme to try and review. Iive in the country we have horses, a dog and 2 cats. So my carpets get messy. Between the kids and grandkids and the dog its an on going battle. Got the carpet cleaner took it out of the box went togetter easy. Used it on all my carpets. Plus area rugs and couch. My carpet in the living room is 38 years old. It looks like new. The stain from the dog and cats are gone and no odor was left. Love it even let my daughter use it on her rug she just got a puppy she loves it. Best I have had. Love this carpet cleaner anyone with pets should try this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got it a few days ago, and immediately set to cleaning all my carpets. Moved in a year ago and carpets weren't cleaned because we were going to replace. Then Covid and everything came to a halt. So was excited to get clean carpets. Keep getting rolled up bits of dog hair when I pull back while wetting the carpet. Nothing in instructions about this so I tried on line. Only to find when I enter my model # 1964, the site doesn't have that. Instead it shows me model #1986, which comes with a cleaning tray. So I spend an hour going through everything in the house and garage looking for the cleaning tray. There isn't one. Finally looked on top of the box and it is not listed. Got the accessory hose door off. Never did figure out how to remove the hose. Took 2 of us to remove the roller cover. Very confusing. But it does clean carpet fairly well....never used home equipment before, and it isn't as good a clean as commercial, but I didn't expect that.

I was lucky to be picked to sample this machine by Pinch Me! The assembly was pretty easy to put together by myself. Instructions were easy to follow, the machine was super easy to use. The machine did a good job cleaning the carpet and getting up stains. We have a high traffic house with 3 kids and 2 animals. I would recommend.

I did some research and decided to replace the old upright this model - it cleans really well and sucks up a lot of the solution from the carpet. It is kind of heavy, but did a beautiful job. Second reason I went for this model; I needed something much easier to clean. This is way easier to clean than my old one. The nozzle comes off in one piece for cleaning. Also the nozzle clean out tool is easier to use with this nozzle - I don't have to keep repositioning the clean out tool and I can reach further to pull out debris. The package I bought has the Rinse and Storage tray. What a treat to just turn on the machine to rinse the brushes. And I had gotten a Hydro Rinse hose cleaning tool before. I attached a hose to the accessory hose door attached the Hydro Rinse accessory to the hose and let the machine clean out the rest of itself. Very little effort and time to clean the carpet cleaner. So, in addition to recommending this ProHeat 2X Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner, I recommend the Rinse and Storage tray and the Hydro Rinse to make life easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The suction for extracting is good compared to my older Hoover Max Extract. To see what kind of suction the Bissell has, I ran a wet pass and two dry passes with my Hoover and then a dry pass with the Bissell. The Bissell picked up water in one pass that the Hoover left behind after two dry passes. Beyond that the Bissell didn't really clean any better than my older machine. The rollers and spray pattern being narrower than the rear wheels seems a bit odd. The hose for spot cleaning feels cheap and is very stiff. And who builds a carpet cleaner with a clean water reservoir that holds more than the dirty water reservoir. I had to empty the dirty water twice before the clean was empty. My Hoover Max Extract is 1:1 so when the dirty water reservoir is full, the clean water is empty. That makes sense! It's a bit difficult to tell how much water you've left in the carpet with the Bissel.

Suction is great! Our carpets dried very fast even using the deep clean function. Biggest problem is 1/2 hour into cleaning carpet the right rear wheel popped off. It is only held in place by a snap ring. Very poor design. You cannot access the right rear wheel housing to put the snap ring back on. You can hear the snap ring rattling around the housing. Rather than send it to Bissell to wait for who knows how long, we returned it. Why send it in for a repair when it lasted a whopping one half hour. Exchanged it for another one because it did clean so well. We shall see. Wish they had an online service manual on how to disassemble housing to fix it.

Love this machine! I had used two different rental machines two weeks prior to watching reviews. I had also watched reviews on the best cleaning product as well. I had used the best cleaning product with the rentals. The moment I started using this machine I could tell a difference. My carpet actually looks like a lighter color due to how much dirt it got out of the carpet. It was easy and light weight. I also have the hardwood surface cleaner and it is awesome too. I will continue to be loyal to Bissell!!
