I was excited at the idea of not having to vacuum the kitchen floor before washing it, and also at having the ability to clean the carpets, so I bought the product. We have two cats. Unfortunately, the suction is not very strong and when I use it on the carpets I have to vacuum with my Dyson (which is over a decade old) first. Otherwise the Bissell vacuum loses suction. In the kitchen it does slightly better, however it does leave pools of water and the suction is still not very good. It's true that it weighs less than a rental machine, but it is still quite heavy. Also, it would be better if the cleaning tray had wheels.

Works really well on cut pile carpet, less well on berber. Hose attachments do not have as strong suction as upright action, they leave much more moisture behind. Also, there is no way to shut off brushroll when using hose attachments, necessitating some sort of way to protect floor where brushroll spins while using hose attachments. Bare floor cleaning attachment is separate purchase but should be included. Overall pleased with machine. It does great job in upright mode on low cut or cut pile carpets.

I really love this carpet cleaner. I had to throw out a Hoover after 3 cleanings, so crossed my fingers and bought the Bissell. It is amazing! I have pets so deep clean but also spot clean when necessary. I have only had this machine for about 10 days and have used it 3 times and love it more every time. It is also easy to clean after use. Yes, I would and have already recommended this carpet cleaner. Thank you Bissell...Susan ps. I also bought the pet vacuum and love it too!!

My carpets have seen there better days since I have two young kids and a dog. I have tried so many carpet cleaners and nothing work. BISSELL® ProHeat 2X® Revolution™ Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner did an amazing job in just minutes. It was so easy to use and effective. My only complaint is that it leaves a smell afterward that lasted a few hours. Not sure if this was because of the pet stains or I am doing something wrong. Otherwise I love it!

I received this BISSELL ProHeat 2X® Revolution™ Pet Pro from PINCHme in exchange for my honest review. When I first received the Bissell ProHeat, I was a little intimidated by the size of the box and how "apart" it seemed to be. It was actually much easier to assemble than I anticipated. Once assembled, I decided to test it out in a smaller area, but one that had old hard to remove stains. The Heatwave technology to remove embedded stains works but I wouldn't say it's fantatsic. I think with a good stain remover or spot treatment, it would work better. I was impressed with the dry time though. The carpet was dried faster than with other carpet cleaners I have used in the past. I used the upholstery tool to clean spots from a mattress and couch and it worked very well. I was happy with those results. The reservoir for dirty water was very simple to lift out, my only gripe was that it didn't hold that much water so there was a lot of stopping to empty it out. Overall I liked this BISSELL ProHeat 2X® Revolution™ Pet Pro and would recommend. It's a good buy for the price and it was very easy to use and assemble. I appreciated that it was lightweight even though I thought based on appearance it wasn't going to be.

We have a dog and who had a couple accidents. We tried other ways to clean up, but there was a residual lingering odor. We brought the Po Heat and it assembled easily and solved the problem quickly. Highly recommended and can't wait to clean the remainder of our house.

I love this steam cleaner. It does exactly what I need it to. It sucks up the water quickly allowing the carpet to dry fast. You can actually watch the machine suck up stains. Best of all, it is so much easier to clean the machine than previous models once the job is done. You just snap off the different pieces, rinse them, put them back on, and it is ready for storage. I'm so happy with my purchase!

I purchased this to replace a larger heavier cleaner. I liked this model as it is lightweight and can easily be cleaned. I used it yesterday for the first time and I did like the results. Yes, you do need to refill the clean water tank often however I knew this when I purchased the item. I did a deep clean for the first use and it did a great job! I should have done a couple extra passes to pull water out as the carpet was still damp this morning but I had some fans running during the day. The machine was easy to fill and empty and I loved that I could cleaner the brush area. I will use this more often as it is so easy to operate.

This product is really poorly designed. Why can't brush rotation be disabled when using the hose attachment? When cleaning stairs, there aren't a lot of places to keep moving the machine so carpet isn't damaged by rotating brushes. The hose spray function works great when the machine is above the hand-held device. Halfway down the stairs I had to move the machine to the bottom of the stairs for the hose to reach. Spray function stopped working at this point even though I followed the instructions several times for priming the hose. I had to spray the cleaning solution by hand from a bottle for the bottom 7 steps. That was a ton of fun. Lastly, the flat gear belt broke on the 3rd (!) use of this machine. I do see other reviews that show belt breakage is an issue. I expect better for what this machine cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this twice and after the first time using it, it immediately began dumping all the water out . It also intermittently stopped sucking the water up. Bottom line, every time I try to use it, I end up with soaked carpets and no way to get rid of the water. I have looked up the YouTube videos etc., to no avail. What a mess. And even though it is listed as a special pet cleaning unit, any pet hair sucked up stays in the plastic cover and is such a pain to clean. Save your money and rent a machine from a local store that actually works. So sorry I bought this. Won't happen again.
