I do small areas at a time. My house is six months old and I can't believe how dirty the carpets are. Excellent on cleaning up a after my dog as well. Not sure if I should have hired a professional cleaner for the first cleaning or not. GREAT MACHINE!!

As a pet owner of both old and very young pets I absolutely love this machine ! It worked on old stains, new stains and even the stains that my sons have left on the carpets! It was easy to use and clean. The only issue was that as I cleaned the rugs the cord wouldn't stay wrapped on the handle and I kept stepping on it.

Easy to use. It also picked up the little short black hairs from my smooth haired dachshund . I would buy this again!!

Bought this because we still have carpet in our home. The carpet is a beige and spots easily. We've owned the home for 4 years and have had it professionally cleaned twice to the tune of about $500. Again this winter, the high traffic areas of the carpet were stained, and the hallway to the bedrooms looked like a cheap motel. We have pets, but the problem isn't them, it's the sloppy humans living here. One cleaning with this machine worked wonders and cleaned as well as the professionals we've had clean it. I am so, so pleased. There are two drawbacks which I did not even charge a star for because the end result was so wonderful. The machine is heavy, so it takes a bit of effort, and the canisters for the cleaning solution and the dirty water are a bit small. Nothing I couldn't deal with though. I highly recommend this product.

This came in the mail yesterday morning it was really easy to assemble the first pass of cleaning my 13 year old carpets it was pure white the color it was brand new I was shocked I almost cried because I was living in that dirt for years!!! I also love the 2in1 pet tool I have 4 dogs this carpet cleaner cleaned up all the pet accidents and stains dirt I also took this out to clean out my car and the color changed also with using the accessory hose and the stairs!!! Overall this is a great heavy duty carpet cleaner i only buy bissell products this is great for people with pets I would recommend to anybody

I was a little skeptical because I have use numerous rug cleaners over many years. This was the easiest to use that I've ever owned. It really helped to pick up some pet stains. I only wish they had included the hard floor roller so I can start using it on my tile!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The brush assembly gets clogged and cannot be flushed or cleaned without disassembly of the head. If left uncleaned, debris dries on and inhibits suction. The assembly is multiple screws, two belts, and all brittle plastic. Clearly untested in a pet environment. Yes, I dry vacuum and remove large debris before use.

This is the third Bissell unit that I've owned and by far it's the best. My first unit was the Lift-Off Pet cleaner. It was very heavy and the portable unit never really worked very well. This unit is much lighter and easier to maneuver. Cleans much better than the Rug Doctor rental unit from the local supermarket and costs less than having a carpet cleaning company come to do my home.

It balls up under the brushes until a nasty wet ball of hair is left on the floor. You can tell the developers do not own pets. Sure the carpet gets cleaned eventually but most of the water stays in the rug. Out of one gallon of water it used the machine recovered maybe a cup of liquid.

I literally used this shampooer once and the stains were lifted. The lightweight design and heated water made cleaning simple. 30 min drying time is the best part. No more soggy carpets for hours!
