I own German Shepherds, and cats, now just cats. Hair, odor, pee stains all through-out my home. Christmas is coming, Thanksgiving around the corner, I love to do my spring cleaning then, I change around my living room for the Christmas tree. I couldn't believe my eyes the canister contained the brownest dirty water it was even stucking up cat hair that my Shark vacuum didn't pull up. So far I emptied five dirty containers of water in a small area of living room space.

I'm not someone who leaves reviews, but hot. Dag this thing deserves one. And a round of applause. With three dogs and two cats, my carpets haven't felt or looks like this since they were installed.

Having owned an older carpet cleaner, I am so impressed with the quality and ease of use of my new Bissell. We hired a professional carpet cleaner the last time we cleaned our carpets and I was so disappointed with the quality of their work, as well as concerns that their equipment was not thoroughly cleaned before bringing it into our home. My new Bissell ProHeat 2X is amazing, cost less than what we paid the so-called professional, and is so much easier to use than my older model. Cleaning it is a breeze. I just love it and will never hire a porfessional carpet cleaner again!

I was very impressed with this product compared to my old Bissell. It cleaned the carpets very well despite some minor dripping which required having to pass over some areas a few times. I also like the set up for the tanks, very easy to get to and use. We are returning the machine because when using the hose/ attachments there was so much water leaking under the base it requires you to mop/ vacuum excess water. Also, There should be a way for the brush to stop running when using attachments vs warning users to not let it sit in one spot for a long period of time.

I bought this to replace the bissell proheat that finally died on me thinking "hey, it's made for a pet home", this was the worst decision I made. I regret not just replacing my original model with another of the same. With this machine, you are refilling clean water so much more often, which is bad because when you use to gallons of clean/soap water, you are only dumping out about a third of that amount...that's alot of water left on carpet which means it takes so much longer to dry. The clean shot button just basically squirts (like a water gun) solution onto floor which guess what? you guessed it, leaves that more water it's not going to pick up on the carpet. The machine came with a trial of cleaning solution that didn't do the job at all. Just having puppy accidents (urine) to clean up from 1 room, I ended up having to go over the carpet THREE times only to still have the smell present and a very wet carpet as a reward for the effort, and yes, I went over and over the floor trying to pull out as much water as possible, no luck there. The attachments are not carried on the machine, so let me stop and go fetch them and dig through a bag to hopefully find something helpful, no luck there either...the attachments are cheap feeling and do nothing useful. I am very disappointed in this machine, so much so that when I replace this one in the near future I am considering switching brands altogether. After paying premium price for a sub-par piece of equipment, I can safely say that after using Bissell for 20 years, they really let me down. Since the horrible equipment has been used and of course I no longer have original container, I am stuck with this unit. BISSELL, SHAME ON YOU!

We have a dog and who had a couple accidents. We tried other ways to clean up, but there was a residual lingering odor. We brought the Po Heat and it assembled easily and solved the problem quickly. Highly recommended and can't wait to clean the remainder of our house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had multiple Bissels over the years and the end of them is usually leaking after a few years. So this is the new one. And it leaked on the first use. After we used it, we let the carpet dry so we could do another round after seeing how much still needed some work. Well, cam back and the "clean water" tank was empty, it had been 3/4 full. It was all emptied out via the place it was to release during use.

Does an excellent job. Easy to use. We have an aged dog that has problems. We also have an aged cat and he leaves us surprises. This unit did the job. We had professionals come in and this had better results. Rooms smell clean and refreshed. The negative and not really that bad. But the tanks are a little smaller then I would like.

This is literally the WORST PIECE OF GARBAGE CARPET CLEANER I've ever owned. On the first use, I noted that it doesn't clean near the walls, instead leaves a strip about 1.5" that isn't cleaned. This is much larger than I've experienced with other machines. If you mention that to the customer service reps, they'll tell you that you can go back over with the hose and attachments to clean that area. They told me this despite my telling them that I have a chronic medical condition. It's all I can do to move the furniture and shampoo the carpet. I'm physically not able to go back on my hands and knees and clean against the walls with the hose tool. The second time I tried to use the machine, the belt immediately broke. I had to move the furniture back, and wait for a new belt to arrive....which was the wrong one. So I ordered another new belt. In the meantime, I hired a carpet cleaning service. Today, I moved the furniture out again, and made a third attempt to use the machine. NOPE, not happening.....the formula/water will only spray out in a tiny strip in the center....the rest of the carpet is dry. The tank is positioned correctly, The spray bar is fine....the little holes are all clear. But it still won't spray correctly. So now I have to move the furniture back again. I'll be calling a professional carpet cleaning service....and moving the furniture one more time for them The Owner's Manual says not to take the machine back to the store. So, I called the 800 number. They told me to take it back to the store. Um...I didn't expect the machine to be such a piece of garbage, so I didn't keep the box. I doubt the store will help me after this amount of time, without the box. The Customer Service rep offered to replace my machine with the same model. Seriously, it's a piece of garbage!!! What a carpet cleaner. Very easy and simple to assemble. I was surprised at how light weight it is, but it is no light weight when it comes to cleaning. The dual brushes are fantastic. One great feature is so simple yet so handy - it is the little hook on the handle that holds the cord away from the cleaner as you use it. Very, very handy.
