This machine has been used to clean the carpets and tile in my home. The machine does a great job at removing everything that doesn't belong in and on the floors. I love how nice my home smells after cleaning the floors with the Bissell formulas. Purchasing the hard floor attachment was a great idea because now I can clean my carpet and tile with one machine!

Everything dried faster than I expected and turned out fresh, clean and bright! Living room carpet is next on the list and expect the same excellent results. This carpet cleaner is very easy to assemble. The instructions are clearly written; the machine is easy to handle and very easy to clean. It seems to cling very closely to the floor and does a terrific job of getting up tough pet stains, dark patches created by foot traffic, and dust and lint accumulations at the sides and corners of the room.

Love this thing! We've had it for a year now and it's still going strong. It's perfect for stains on the carpet, but also good for cleaning your carpets in general. I cleaned our hallway carpet that had years of dirt tracked on it and it cleaned it all up, no problem, and make the carpets look like new! Would highly recommend.

Brought this carpet cleaner after I brought a Big Green Machine from Bissell. This one cleans circles around the Big Green Machine. Also picks up almost 99% of the water compared to the Big Green Machine. Should have brought this one first, wasted my money on the other machine. Carpets have never been cleaner.

The first time I used this cleaner for the first half of one room, it worked great. Once I had emptied the dirty water and refilled the clean water tanks, it did not work as well. I cleaned all of the pieces and got all of the excess hair out of every niche, but the suction still did not return. The dirty water tank did not refill at all but the clean water tank emptied fully. I re-cleaned all of the tanks and parts, and put it away for another day to try again, but I am disappointed.

I used this on my carpet for the first time the day after I bought it, my cat vomited on the carpet and it was a mess. Used the solution that it came with and hot water and it cleaned it up like it never happened. I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought this to replace a 10 year old Bissell carpet shampooer. This one is lighter than my old one so is easier to get up and down the basement stairs. I like that there are 2 different tanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in need of upgrading from my 20 year old Hoover. doing my due diligence in research, I found this model which appeared to be worth the investment. I must agree, it is. I love how it cleans, easy of use as well as clean up afterwards. My 20 year old Hoover, was huge, slow and a pain to clean up afterwards. looking forward to finishing the house.

Read almost 50 comments (good and bad) before buying the product. Decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I think most of the negativity is due to people that simply cannot use the product correctly, no hit on them, but technology is sometimes not for everyone! Anyway, this device replaced a Hoover we had for years that simply wore out. It leaked terribly and the brushes stopped turning under any resistance. This Bissell product is strong from the start and appears to be built to last and has an option to replace the belts to keep the brushes turning strong. I last used the Hoover about a week before buying the Bissell and the new unit cleaned up the traffic areas in the carpet the Hoover gave up on. The carpet dried quickly, even though on the deep clean mode, plus, the carpet does not have the rough texture left by the other machine that had to be vacuumed out the next day. I'm next going to the area rugs and have purchased the bare floor tool for the tiles. Lastly, the carpet smells great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this carpet cleaner only a handful of times. The belt broke several times and after that was fixed, the machine had no suction. I took it in, had it cleaned and it worked one time. It has never worked after that. I'm very disappointed in this product for the price we paid. I love Bissell products but this was a huge disappointment.
