[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has a really effective brush head system that scrubs the carpet fibres. It also removed more of the water than any of the machines I used in the past, and my carpet dries faster than I expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] #sweepstakes I am very pleased with my new ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner. I would happily recommend purchasing it to anybody. It is quieter and more maneuverable than previous cleaners I have owned and does an excellent job of cleaning and revitalizing my wall-to-wall plush carpet. Opening the attachment port during deep cleaning allows cleaning solution to penetrate and soak into heavy stains that would not otherwise be removed. This too could be discussed in the literature. I've also used the machine successfully to scrub/wash sealed flooring. I don't see why that isn't promoted in the literature. Suction is strong for both upright performance and hose use. Hose tools are well designed and constructed Suggested Improvements: • Serious, deep cleaning takes WAAAY longer than 30 minutes to dry, so that should be made clear. • The recovery tank would benefit from having a much larger capacity. • The rubber cap on the recovery tank should be much more substantial. It seems that it cannot possibly last as long as it should. • One should be able to turn the brushes OFF when desired (extended extraction after deep cleaning; using hose) via a "belt lifter" type hook a la Kirby, or a solenoid clutch. • A "tilting fulcrum" with pedal release would be very useful (as per traditional upright vacuums) with which one could more easily navigate around obstacles and transitions. • A headlight or headlights would be welcome and/or a "black light" to illuminate pet stains!!! • The power cord is not held tightly enough by the hook at the top of the handle. • The on/off button is inconveniently located. I would prefer it to be at the top of the handle. • One should be able to let go of the handle of this or any upright machine while in use without it falling to the ground! A properly designed tension spring at the pivot point would be a worthwhile addition.

The double holding tanks are genius. Cleaning the machine is so much easier then the older model. I cleaned the carpets throughout my home and the cleaner did great job. Very happy with my purchase would recommend it anyone.

I've used this twice on my living room carpet which may I say, has a large number of stains that I've never been able to get out very well. This is until I've used my ProHeat 2X on it and I can firmly state this product works. The heating element makes drying a quick task and also with the added formulas from BISSEL, the smell and sent after is very nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our carpet is 20 years old and although we don't wear out shoes in the house, the carpet still had some "dirty" areas. We could not believe the dirt and dog hair that was in the dirty water tank. The cleaner was easy to prepare for cleaning and was easy to clean at the end. I have never be excited about a cleaning product before. We are lending it to our daughter who also has dogs.

Instead of waiting the estimated 3 weeks for the out of stock belt I ordered a new machine and it arrived in 3 days!! I love it as much as my old one.I gave the old one to my son and daughter in law and they had no problem waiting for a belt and are happily using it already!

We always called a professional to clean our wool carpets especially in an emergency when our 8 year old Aussie had a accident. Recently the professional carpet cleaning man was called to remove another dog accident and was unsuccessful. A few days later with the assistance of a helpful Bissell customer service representative I purchased a Pet Pro carpet cleaner 1986. Lets just say we no longer will call the carpet cleaning man again. The stain that couldn't be removed instantly lifted from the carpet leaving no stain or discoloring to the carpet. Also unlike some portable units the Pet pro allows easy assembly and removal of parts for needed cleaning after each use.

It is a better design than past models. That attachments are easier and it is easier to clean the brushes and the suction pieces out. The base it sets on is nice for cleaning and storage. Operationally it seems the same and it still is an effective carpet cleaner. Overall a better product.
