Works really well on cut pile carpet, less well on berber. Hose attachments do not have as strong suction as upright action, they leave much more moisture behind. Also, there is no way to shut off brushroll when using hose attachments, necessitating some sort of way to protect floor where brushroll spins while using hose attachments. Bare floor cleaning attachment is separate purchase but should be included. Overall pleased with machine. It does great job in upright mode on low cut or cut pile carpets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 6 year old Bissel Big green upright carpet cleaner and it has been worn down to the bones so time for a new one. I have 5 inside dogs, 3 our elderly and have accidents. This machine, on the first maiden voyage absolutely cleaned, even set in stains off my carpets. I have an 1800 sqft house and it just kept continually taking out the stains and urine smell. I researched and kept seeing rave reviews on youtube and instagram and I'm so happy I did my research and got mine. My only issue is how frequent you need to refill the solution and empty the dirty water resevoiur. But I rather do that to have super clean carpets again. Highly recommend. Should have bought it sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works very well. I love the fact that it's much lighter than the older ProHeat 2X and easier to use. The product does clean carpets very well. It doesn't seem to pull as much water from carpets that's distributed as expected... not even three quarters. My biggest complaint is the handle. Whoever designed it has no knowledge of ergonomic design. The handle really hurts your hand after a using the cleaner for a period of time. Bissell should redesign the handle section and send all registered buyers a replacement at no charge.

I own German Shepherds, and cats, now just cats. Hair, odor, pee stains all through-out my home. Christmas is coming, Thanksgiving around the corner, I love to do my spring cleaning then, I change around my living room for the Christmas tree. I couldn't believe my eyes the canister contained the brownest dirty water it was even stucking up cat hair that my Shark vacuum didn't pull up. So far I emptied five dirty containers of water in a small area of living room space.

This the the 3rd Bissell cleaner that I've owned and it's the Best. The performance is awesome but the best part is the functionality. The water tanks are very easy to operate, which is a Huge plus over the old design. Also, it's very easy to clean because so much of it comes apart. I'm very impressed with this product and would gladly recommend it to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have always spent good money for a great product! We have this new one from Bissell and it's a complete joke! Cheaply made just unbelievable how awful this carpet cleaner is! It wont suck up the water put on the rug so I had to use 3 towels! It is so flimsy the hose is a complete joke it doesn't stretch and it's the worst kind of plastic on the whole machine it feels like it's gonna fall over and melt on its own.

The third time I used this it won't stop shooting water everywhere. Now my carpet is soaked and I cannot clean or dry it. I read some VERY lengthy and difficult ways to trouble shoot this which I guess I'll try since it was so expensive but I shouldn't have this much trouble with a product I've only used twice!! And yes I only used the bissell pet pro cleaner with it.

I love this machine! It is so easy to clean. I have a very thick pile, large area rug and two hallway runners. This is the only machine I have found that will get them really clean and soft. My older dog had accidents from time to time on the large rug before she died and my new dog has also peed on the larger rug. My cats cats love to play on all the rugs, which gets them hairy. The bissell is as light and easy to maneuver as a vacuum cleaner and it really does the job. I am most impressed by how easy it is to clean all the pet hair and carpet fibers from the machine. No matter how well I vacuum the thick rugs, there is usually a bit of carpet fiber to clean out of the bissell along with pet hair and dirt. Removing all the parts and getting them clean and reassembling everything is so easy and takes me about 20 minutes. I have had my bissell for about a year now and it's still going strong. I deep clean my rugs 1-2 times per month. If and when the machine dies I will immediately purchase another. It's that good.

I can't believe I have waited so long to get this. My 8 month old lab puppy has gone through two rounds of giardia which created some awful messes in the basement when he was too sick to get outside in time and he tends to like to roll in the mud anyway, so tracks in dirt constantly. My carpet has definitely taken a beating in the last couple months. My carpet is a bit light in color and didn't think a home carpet cleaner could do the trick, but finally got to the point where I was desperate. I just did my whole house and I can't believe it got all the stains out of the carpet. And now I don't have to wait until I can get the carpet cleaner to come or go rent something--I can just tackle the messes as they occur. If you have a dog, please don't wait as long as I did to save yourself! It is worth the money! It's a good size, not too much bulkier than a normal vacuum. I found if you follow the guidelines and go slowly with your passes you get the best results. The dirty water canister does fill up fairly quickly if you are in deep clean mode. I switch back and forth between modes as the quick clean mode definitely gives you more time before you have to empty the dirty water. If you have the clean water tank full and need to carry it around, you will find its a bit heavy so if you can move it to the floor you want to clean and then fill it, that is a little easier.
