[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, very straight forward. Look at your parts and pay attention to directions. Our oldest off to college and in an apartment. The dogs had left a few presents under his bed and had heavy traffic areas. Although the clean (1 gal)/dirty water tanks seem a little small...they are no smaller nor bigger than the old one I just disposed of. Initially, I'm impressed...and that's a difficult thing to do. The suction combined with the agitating brushes really cleaned the carpet up nicely. Even head on at the baseboards. After a couple of hours, I went back in and vacuumed; it looks great.

I bought this to replace my old Hoover carpet cleaner, which worked well for over 20 years. This Bissell worked well the 1st time, but after that the machine does not suction the dirty water out of the carpet. It has WAY TOO MANY parts to maintain, and even after cleaning ALL those parts, it still won't suction. Wish I had kept my old machine. Hopefully, customer support will be able to help us.

Worked great when I first received it, then I went to use it again a week later, it drained all the water out on areas of the carpet and wouldn't suck it back up. I had every area of the shampooer clear of dirty and hair but it still made the pop and never put anything except an inch of dirty water out of a gallon back into the bucket.

My carpets have seen there better days since I have two young kids and a dog. I have tried so many carpet cleaners and nothing work. BISSELL® ProHeat 2X® Revolution™ Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner did an amazing job in just minutes. It was so easy to use and effective. My only complaint is that it leaves a smell afterward that lasted a few hours. Not sure if this was because of the pet stains or I am doing something wrong. Otherwise I love it!

My previous Bissell Carpet Cleaner lasted 15+ years so of course when it finally gave up the ghost i pretty much didn't even look at another brand. We have always had Saint Bernard's and yes they can make a mess, however, my Bissell has cleaned up everyone one of them. It took a minute to get used to the new one but all in all it works just as good as my last one, maybe even better. If you want a clean carpet that rivals any pro job get this one.

I would buy this product again and would definitely tell my Family and Friends about my 1986 Bissell Pet pro heat shampooer/carpet cleaner. I'm very pleased with the results. I told my Son that it cleaned my carpets better than the Big Green machine that I rented. My money was well spent !!!

Do NOT waste your hard earned money on this big clunky piece of junk, I am so disapointed in this piece of equipment, it cost me over $300. when all was said and done. The rug cleaner is so heavy to move around, it does not get up close to pieces of furniture or walls. It leaves the rugs very wet. The leftover water is still dripping wet where I pick up with paper towels. The dog is older and has accidents, which now the paper towels is urine soaked. The rug cleaner is touted as picking up all urine, it does not pick up urine. It just pushes it further into the rug, where the stench is unbearable and ruined my carpets. Do not purchase this rug cleaner , it is not worth the money. I have owned it now for a year. Believe me , I have owned the Bissell Crosswave , three of them, those are also not worth the money. I am looking now for a new rug cleaner that can do the job, I just installed brand new rugs.

I have owned this carpet cleaner for about 2 weeks. I have cleaned all the carpet in my home and most of the carpet at church. This by far is the most easy carpet cleaning machine I have ever used. Does not over soak the carpet thus allowing the carpet to dry very fast. The machine is simple to use and easy to clean.

I received this product as a sample from Bissell and it was great. I have pets, and with pets come messes. From inadvertent messes caused by my pets or accidents my pets have, I've needed a cleaner that can take on these types of stains so that you'd never know they were there. This product does that. It was incredibly easy to set up and preparing it for a cleaning session was easy too with the clear lines set for the water and the cleaning solution. As a part of the sample, I received the Pet Stain and Odor + Antibacterial as well as the Professional Pet Urine Eliminator + Oxy. After trying each of these two cleaning solutions out, I was very impressed. My carpet in the hallway, which was a mess and had stains for as far back as I can remember, came up cleaner that I can ever remember it being and the odor that came along with those stains is now gone. As for after I cleaned the areas, removing and disposing of the dirty water was a breeze and cleaning any pet hair that gets stuck in the machine is just as easy because of how simply the pieces come apart and because of the nifty tool that comes with the product to clean out anything that gets stuck. Based on my experience with this product, I give it five stars for the incredible cleaning performance, simplicity of use, and ease of use.

This carpet cleaner does an excellent job, better results than I expected. There was a fairly large stain on some carpet that another carpet cleaner did not get out all the way, just faded it. This one got it out completely the first pass, with pretreatment.
