It can be connected to WiFi so you can print, scan and fax from your phone. The subscription for paper and ink is a nice touch to not have to go to the store. It prints pictures nicely. You can add users to the account for easy access to printing. It scans in pages nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This HP OfficeJet 8122 All-in-One Printer is great for any home, especially if you will be printing a lot of documents. The setup was really easy with the HP guides, but does take about 20-30 minutes. It's super easy to connect to your phone or computer. I love that I can connect it to my phone. The HP app is super user-friendly too. There is a spot to connect the printer to computer via printer cord, but unfortunately it does not come with one. Print and scan quality is really good. My favorite feature of this printer is the document feeder. It allows me to scan in multiple documents super quickly. I also like the ability to automatically print 2-sided documents. No adjusting the paper to do it. The input tray holds a lot of paper and can even do different sizes! Touch screen makes changing settings super easy. You can only use HP (new/reused) cartridges that have the HP Chip. Kinda a downside, but I understand it's a security measure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I've owned at least a dozen HP printers in my life, from ink to laser. But I needed another small printer that I could keep upstairs, and this was it! Incredibly easy to set up and easy to use - it only took a few minutes. Set up is basically installing the app, enabling wifi, scanning a QR code and calibration. Calibration is easy - you install the cartridges, it prints, you take the printout and throw it on the scanner and tap a button. Easy peasy! I do really like the app - this is the first printer I've owned that came with one. My single favorite feature of the mobile app so far is the "scan and print" function. I just click the button and it starts my camera, it snaps the picture and auto-crops it for me, and within seconds I have a copy sitting on the printer. No need to put it on the scanner or anything - super easy and convenient. I used it at the front door for someone doing a fundraising event - I just snapped it and walked into the kitchen and grabbed the copy. The print quality it as expected with an HP inkjet, and the speed is great. I print a lot of 5x7 full color photos and they are done printing before I can get up out of my chair and go fetch them. A few other features I like - the touch screen is very snappy - it follows you finger smoothly when you swipe around. The menuing system is easy to navigate, I didn't even have to read the users guide. One last thing to mention - its incredibly quiet.

We print a lot of shipping labels, recipes, kids activity sheets, and random documents during the week, so having wireless printing from the phone has been really convenient. The setup was easier than I expected and the touchscreen menu was simple to follow. The print quality looks clean and colors come out nice on regular paper. I also used the scanner a few times for mainly forms and it worked without any issues. One thing I found interesting is the Instant Ink subscription because the printer tracks ink levels and ships replacements automatically. It's nice not having to think about suddenly running out of ink.

HP support responded quickly, though the guidance felt a bit scripted. It took a couple of tries with different reps to resolve the issue. One thing I've consistently appreciated is the HP Ink subscription service. I've used it for years, and the convenience is hard to beat. They send full‑size cartridges right after you sign up, and replacements show up automatically whenever the printer starts running low. Whether it's cheaper depends on how much you print, but not having to think about ink is great. Overall, even with the hiccup I experienced, this printer offers a solid mix of price, features, and everyday reliability. Easy setup, double-sided printing, and the convenience of HP Ink make it an easy one to recommend.

I had a plan to scan all my papers for years, and with the HP Office Jet 8122, it has become a true and easy process. I also have been struggling with some home business paper, and I no longer need to print sensitive information in a public library or stores. This printer is fast and of good quality, so no long wait for my docs to be out. I am also excited about mobile up. It was easy to set up and really comfortable to use directly print from my phone. My oldest daughter is now 20 and starting to establish herself independently adding a new layer of my work load. In addition to my own immediate family, my brother separated from him long term relationship and asked me to do his taxes and organize his personal information. Which then led to my mom asking me to help her do something and perpetuating me to realize she needs a significant amount of help with personal business matters. Not only my mom, but also her long term significant other as well. It was immediately very clear that I needed a new printer to facilitate this amount of handling. As if that wasn't cause enough, I also suddenly pulled one of my children out of school to homeschool. This printer was the perfect companion for my needs at exactly the right time. I previously had a much smaller personal HP printer that hadn't aged like fine wine and surely had seen better days. No fault to HP it was 10 years used and abused and long served its purpose. The HP Office Jet 8122 exceeded my expectations. It is proficient for all of my home, family, schooling, personal business needs. With homeschooling be very new I really put this machine to the test with an extensive amount of printing. I appreciate the two sided print option. Such a simple luxury that comically makes me think I lost a page. The colors are bright and true with appropriate saturation and not losing attention to detail. I do wish that it had higher photo potential, but it serves its purpose very well. I will be looking to pair it with an HP Envy for better photo quality creating a dream suite for all my printing needs.
