- 4 out of 5 stars review9/9/2021The ice is soft just as advertised. We have pellet ice at work, and I would always fill my Yetti prior to going home. I don’t now, because the ice at home is so much better. The only issue is it’s a little loud while making ice, but I’ve learned to tune it out. Worth the price!!

This has made me an ice snob! I take my iced water to work with me every day in an insulated 40 ounce bottle so I always have cold water the way I want it.

I am regularly finding water underneath the unit. And it is not just from what drips onto the tray. Unit has been cleaned and descaled repeatedly since purchase.

Refills quickly as well. Would be better with ability to filter the water and add a water line versus filling the reservoir. Received ours with damage. Replacement options not easy, opted to keep. Overall a good product that makes good ice. Price is a little high. Consider it a luxury item.

When we decided to invest a little more money into this model, our expectations were high, but also exceeded when it arrived and we had our first taste! Very important reminder to clean the machine regularly… it will start squeaking if you let the calcium build up! I did use super filtered water and. Lean it out monthly!

I agree with the previous reviews that the machine is a bit on the noisy side but it sits in our kitchen and we don't hear it in any other rooms. Also, we only use distilled water in the hopes of avoiding any maintenance issues, and it isn't always readily available. That said, my gang is thrilled with the ice that this puppy puts out. Worth the hassle.

It makes enough ice to keep us happy all day, with five adults in our home. We go through a lot of ice, which is why we purchased this. The only issue is that it will stop making ice for no rhyme or reason. It will say "Add Water" when the tank is full. And will stay that way for hours, and then begin making ice again without any specific resolution. We've tried all the resolutions. It has a mind of its own. Fits perfectly under the counter. For the price, I hoped it would be seamless.

So far it’s okay but I don’t like how the container for the ice is not temperature controlled and will cause all the ice to melt causing it to use more electricity and not having ice available when you don’t have it on 24/7 or on a schedule.

I have to refill the side water holder at least once a day. The nuggets are all soft, perfectly formed little gems that she loves. If you like to chew on ice, consider the Opal to really enjoy nibbling on these soft nuggets.

It recycles the ice if you don’t use it but that has never been a problem for us. There is always ice in the machine in the morning and once you take some it quickly makes more.

Pumps fail because haier uses cheap pumps. The fans will go as well and it will stop producing ice. If you get a year you are lucky. Buy an extended warranty because you will need it.

The machine is quiet and produces two 10lb. bags of ice per day. We use the ice throughout the day and do not have any problems with it. We would recommend the system to anyone as we love the ice for everyday use.

It was replaced by warranty. The second one lasted 2 weeks. We returned it for a refund. Broke down a few weeks ago and ordered another one. So far so good. It’s been a month!
