The ice is amazing. The machine makes so much noise we can hear it upstairs with our bedroom door closed. I bought this on the 19th of October 2024 and returning tomorrow. The machine is so loud it woke my kids up. It sounds like belts/bearings grinding together. If I could give it 0stars I would. This is the 2nd opal in the last month. As much as my family loves the ice we will never buy another GE product ever again.

Sooo, quiet, creates ice quickly. Can't even tell if it is on. What a find!!

Doesn't last more than a year or two before it dies. We have gone though 3 in the past 5 years.

Icemaker quit making ice after three years. Don't know if it's we're actually worth the price.

It's so quiet. Set up was a breeze. Wifi is not as smooth still working on it..

Stopped working in less than a year. Used only Filtered zero water. Cleaned regularly. Useless now.

Worked for 24 hours then would go into defrost mode every hour, which takes about 30-45 minutes

Love this product! Guests at our house rave about it too. Used every day.
