The nugget oval shaped ice is my favorite type of ice to use for drinks and this ice maker that is truly beautifully designed and blends in seamlessly with my kitchen. It enhances my kitchen counter and makes me somewhat proud to have around. I love how it’s not overly bulky and is a truly compact design. It just looks so elegant in my house and I can’t stop staring at it!! I genuinely think that GE has outdone themselves with this product. I’ve been using it for my iced coffee and drinks and my dogs love to chew ice and the nugget shape makes it easy for them to play around with, so it earns some thumbs up (paws up) from them! A really interesting feature is that apparently there’s built-in WiFi with the SmartHQ app to monitor device status and schedule fresh ice. It also comes software updates that include the access voice control through Alexa and Google, which is very impressive for an ice maker. I expect these kinds of features from a laptop, not my ice maker, so this is a definite nice surprise. It also comes with a side tank which was another added bonus, and makes it easier to get ice faster and more efficiently. The only thing that I’d callout is that the packaging says that it only takes 10 minutes to make fresh made ice, but their instructional video online says it takes about 20 minutes. I would agree with the video; upon initial installment it took closer to 20 minutes, but maybe after using it longer the machine will adapt and speed up to 10 minutes! This will be perfect for keeping the drinks chilled for summer barbecues. Overall, I’d give this a 9.4/10 as it’s a phenomenal ice maker; highly recommend people to try it out.

The directions are clear and easy to follow. Quickest little ice machine. I absolutely love the little nugget ice! Would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves the good ice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!!! The GE Profile icemaker is a game changer in my home. We love that we can just scoop and fill our cups. We have even been making our own version of a snow cone with the ice it produces. No more ice trays to fill. It fits nicely on my counter, It doesn't take up much space, looks sleek, and blends well with the countertop. My only complaint is that the outside tank hasn't worked since we set it up. Im happy for the inside tank. I just put a bottle of spring water in, and shortly, there's ice. The double tank is a great idea. It is also cool that the setup was easy.I love how when you use ice, it automatically begins replenishing as long as there is water in the tank. If contemplating on purchasing, contemplate no more.get it ,you will not be disappointed

The ice maker was incredibly easy to set up, and fits perfectly on the counter. After the cleaning cycle, it was good to go. It started making ice in about 10 minutes. It does make a running sound, but it’s not too loud. I have no complaints about this product! It’s wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting a nugget ice maker for a LONG time so I was excited to finally get one. First impressions: It’s a little bigger than I expected but not bad, looks really pretty and seems well made. Set up was easy, although the manual is a general one, regardless of the model of ice maker, so some of it requires using your own common sense. The ice making process is QUICK, within 15 minutes of starting the ice process I already had a few ice nuggets drop into the bin. The ice is perfect size (and texture) for drinks but I wouldn’t use it in a shaker or to keep things cold in a cooler. The machine is a little loud…basically sounds like a mini fridge/freezer, but it’s in the kitchen and doesn’t really bother me. All in all, this seems like a solid product and I hope it lasts longer than some of the reviews.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker has been a fantastic addition to our kitchen! It’s incredibly easy to set up and clean, and as long as you clean it weekly, the ice stays fresh and bacteria-free. It quickly goes from empty to full in just 3 hours. We use it daily.

This is our third ice maker. The first one worked beautifully for a couple of years then developed a black debris in the ice I could not overcome. I even took the machine apart( warranty expired anyway) and deep cleaned could not get it to stop forming in ice every three days. Bought a new one, only to return it immediately because the water cycles into the ice bin melting the ice when ice is taken from the bin. This one ( number 3) does the exact same thing. I’m tired of returning them and it makes perfect ice so I’ll just be content to have my ice melt a bit every time I harvest ice from the bucket. I really don’t know what else to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy setup, quiet, large water capacity. Fantastic so far. I have a piece of crap Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker in the fridge. Nevertheless it hasn’t worked right ever and quit shortly after warranty expired. Fast forward to the last seven years of countertop ice makers. I have been through so many I lost count. Finally decided to get a nugget ice maker. We tried a few of those and they failed miserably. Loud and ice output was low. Was about to give up and found this Opal 2.0XL on sale and bit the bullet. Love the extra large side tank and it was easy to set up and hook up to Wi-Fi to see current status and set a schedule. I thought the schedule was kind of pointless but I can set it to make fresh ice a few hours before we wake up and instead of having slushy half melted ice from sitting all night we have fresh chewy ice! It actually makes a difference. So far this ice maker is far superior to all the others I have owned.

So far so good! Right now I’m waiting for ice. Fairly easy to setup!
