[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting a nugget ice maker for a LONG time so I was excited to finally get one. First impressions: It’s a little bigger than I expected but not bad, looks really pretty and seems well made. Set up was easy, although the manual is a general one, regardless of the model of ice maker, so some of it requires using your own common sense. The ice making process is QUICK, within 15 minutes of starting the ice process I already had a few ice nuggets drop into the bin. The ice is perfect size (and texture) for drinks but I wouldn’t use it in a shaker or to keep things cold in a cooler. The machine is a little loud…basically sounds like a mini fridge/freezer, but it’s in the kitchen and doesn’t really bother me. All in all, this seems like a solid product and I hope it lasts longer than some of the reviews.

Best ice maker ever. The cleaning process is tedious and the water tank needs a better design in order to pour the water in through the top instead of having to pick up the entire tank, flip it over to open the lid to pour water in, and then flip it back over to set it back into it's base. They need to make where the base is connected and the opening for the water is on the top.

It also recycles melted ice back into the bottom where it continues to make fresh ice. Only drawback is it larger than I expected. Otherwise it is an awesome kitchen machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting an ice maker for a very long time. I've had this one for six months now and absolutely love it. It's fast, filling up the ice bin in less than an hour and makes enough for a beverage in 15 minutes. It is extremely easy to fill both the main reservoir and the reserve tank. The cleaning process is easy as well, maybe tedious, but easy. I live in an area with semi- hard water and have dealt with calcium deposits but its onlt an issue if not cleaned regularly. I am so happy with this machine!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker has been a fantastic addition to our kitchen! It’s incredibly easy to set up and clean, and as long as you clean it weekly, the ice stays fresh and bacteria-free. It quickly goes from empty to full in just 3 hours. We use it daily.

This is our third ice maker. The first one worked beautifully for a couple of years then developed a black debris in the ice I could not overcome. I even took the machine apart( warranty expired anyway) and deep cleaned could not get it to stop forming in ice every three days. Bought a new one, only to return it immediately because the water cycles into the ice bin melting the ice when ice is taken from the bin. This one ( number 3) does the exact same thing. I’m tired of returning them and it makes perfect ice so I’ll just be content to have my ice melt a bit every time I harvest ice from the bucket. I really don’t know what else to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really good ice maker. Makes perfect little ice pebbles and pretty fast. Comes with an ice scooper. Has a light. Plugs in and you fill up the water chamber so no need to worry about attaching to a water supply. I was able to get 2-3 full ice buckets before refilling with water again. It does give off some heat in the back so be careful where you place it. Pretty quiet when making the ice. I haven’t cleaned it yet so unable to give my opinion on that but Overall I’m enjoying this ice marker and I’d definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this ice maker at the perfect time as my fridge stopped making ice a few weeks ago and I was not ready to have it repaired yet. This ice maker was large, honestly probably wouldn’t recommend unless you have a ton of counter space for it, but worked amazingly. It was so quiet when it ran (quieter than my washing machine) It makes a ton of ice quickly and is easy to clean after use. I definitely have enjoyed having this and would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality ice maker for their home or business.

The nugget ice is super soft and chewable—kind of like the ice you get at Sonic. It makes drinks way more fun, whether it’s iced coffee or just plain water. It starts making ice pretty fast, and the side tank is helpful so you’re not refilling water all the time. It does take up a bit of counter space, but it looks sleek and doesn’t feel bulky. It makes a little noise while running, but nothing too loud. You do need to clean it regularly, but it’s not hard—just takes a little time. If you love nugget ice, this is totally worth it. I use it every day and don’t see myself going back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleaning cycle works well. Unfortunately it is quite loud, but you can turn it off whenever you need to. The nugget ice is really nice and works well for drinks. The machine is extremely large especially with the water tank add on and takes up a lot of counter space, but is a nice addition to the kitchen if you like nugget ice! So far we have not had any build up in the machine, and we have moderately hard water.
