I will say i have been pleasantly surprised. If the directions are followed this baby actually works. It's important to note that; A. The device needs about 5 or 10 minutes to aerosolize the repellent and B. It needs somewhat still air or the repellent will blow away. If there is a slight breeze, place the unit so the wind blows across it towards you and your guests. I was skeptical, but my backyard swarms with Mosquitos and this keeps them away and not a single bite. As soon as we turned it off, they were back and we were fighting them off by hand. I'm a believer and don't sit outside without it. Thermacell gave us our deck and yard back.

I'm giving it a fair rating because it does work when used correctly but it's battery life is nonexistent pretty much! It says it has at least 5 hours & in reality it's less than that. I had originally purchased the Radius and was very satisfied with the product. Considering how bad it gets in Texas with mosquitos when summer starts, this was a perfect product to have around those small patio set ups or just to keep with you when you're outside by yourself. I was sent one of these by thermacell and I honestly wasn't sure how well it was going to work, but I put it out while gardening and I noticed that the number of bugs that usually would be out had diminished significantly. This is supposed to be for mosquitos, but it actually did quite well for repelling other flying insects too.

Living in Florida we are always outside. This was awesome to use in the backyard to let the kids play after sun goes down and they get bad. I loved the fact that it is rechargeable and doesn't stink like sprays and candles, etc. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the refills can get a bit pricy if you are outdoors a lot during summer or camping.

My family and I used it when we had a picnic in the backyard and I am very satisfied with this product. We sat at the table and the kids were in the yard running around and no one had any mosquito bites. I think it's great for backyards or the poolside because if it dies, all I have to do is plug it up.

The unit worked ok but after the first season the battery started not holding a charge and now after using maybe 15 times it's garbage. I believe a product that costs this much should last longer than 2 seasons. Electronic and plastic waste from items like this are filling our landfills and killing our planet.
