I used three of these under a 20' x 40' tent with open sides in a heavily mosquito-infested wooded area in Michigan in the evening of a very wet summer. People were getting destroyed the night before in this spot, but as soon as my Thermacells heated up, the bugs were just gone...all of them. With the perimeter up and running, any insect that wandered too close would literally fall out of the sky. They work incredibly well and I love not having to replace butane cartridges. It's also really convenient that the cartridges last 36 hours. If you have easy access to recharge them, these are the way to go.

These little things work amazing at keeping the mosquitoes away. With a heavy rainfall this year they’ve been terrible and a big zapper just doesn’t do the trick. This is safe for humans and animals which is a bonus and I don’t have to wear products with deet anymore.

Easy to set up and use. A couple notes. First is that you do want to turn it on 10min or so prior to expecting the area to be mosquito free. Second comment is about the winds. Yes during prolonged wind the bugs don't bite, but anything beyond a very, very light breeze starts to dissipate. I may pick up a second unit to better blanket the zone.

I set the Thermacell up in the gazebo at my lake lot. The gazebo already had a fair amount of mosquitoes in it as I had one side completely open for a few hours. After about 10 minutes I could actually see the exodus of mosquitoes from the inside of the gazebo. The occasional one would fly by the gazebo entrance but avoid coming in. One caveat, I did have Off sprayed all over me but when I was doing work outside the gazebo, that didn't ward them off so I doubt it aided in the success of Thermacell.

Love NOT being bitten. I use this everywhere: out back, the winery, church. This is an amazing unit. I even have one to keep by the back door so when I go in, there are not bugs near the porch light. It's the best invention! Plus, no smell, no fire. I love it.

Charged up quickly. Seems to work as advertised. Definitely set them up a few minutes before you plan to be in the area. The beeps for on and off are helpful to know you did it right since the unit is totally quiet. Battery life beeps too. Only complaint is it burns thru the oil stuff pretty quick and refills aren’t real cheap. But made it so we could use our backyard for a party which was great

I'm a fan. I believe this really works. The proof? I get mosquitos bites if I stand in my front yard for more than 5 minutes. When I bring my Thermacell out into the backyard when I am raking and pulling weeds I can take up to an hour and I have zero mosquito bites. So, I do believe it works.

I used to stay inside for most of the summer to stay away from mosquitoes. They like me more than other friends. My skin does not tolerate the bites well. My summer life has changed with my Thermacell! I garden again and entertain on the patio regularly! This product works! The best results I’ve ever had!

To be honest I was quite skeptical, I've used many, many different mosquito repellents and the mosquitoes kept biting me and I get really bad reactions from their bites. Someone I know uses these products and said they work well, so I ordered one and the first time I used it I was sitting outside on my patio, I watched the mosquitoes come towards me, then all of a sudden turn around and fly away. I watched this happen over and over and not one reached me. Finally, I can actually go outside and use my firepit!

So this is a first time purchase of a thermacell product and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with this product. Within just a few minutes of powering on the mosquitos packed their bags and headed home for the holiday. Only thing that keeps it from a 5 is the cost of the replacement repellent as this is a bit of a gate for most. Overall the product does what it says and makes it as easy as it can be. Thermacell thank you for a game changing product and look forward to getting more
