I have had Thermacell for about 6 years or more. Mosquitos love my blood and if there was the last remaining on earth you can be sure she will find me and bite me. Thermacell is my life savior. I love that product so much. I am worry free gardening, eating and reading outdoors in the evenings and at night. This product is 100% reliable. I just purchased 2 new ones because my existing ones do not charge anymore. They last around 5 years or so. Be careful when handling the refills, the liquid is toxic to humans, but odourless. Use a glove or household sponge paper or something that prevents you from direct contact with the liquid. It is very safe to handle but sometimes a bit of liquid is visible at the bottom after long heating. It is best to remove the refill and close it off completely before charging. I wish that Thermacell is offering something against wasps in the future. They are becoming very invasive over the past years.

Setup assembly was pretty straightforward. The added repellent refill which was INCLUDED made this a great value purchase. So far, it is doing its intended job and warranty setup was a breeze. I will update this review as the week progresses for a more accurate rating.

Like having a force field around the picnic table keeping the nasty biting disease transmitting squitos far away. Next campsite over the occupants were swearing, swatting, and finally wiping and spraying on the bug repellant while we sat comfortably eating our meal. Definitely worth the time and money. The refills are quite spendy but worth the dough to not get bites and swelling and itching during and after the camping

Rechargeable is worth the higher upfront cost After having a bunch of the Thermacell MR300 models that require both butane cartridges and replacement pads, I really like having a rechargeable option. The initial price is a little higher, but I specifically chose this model because I was tired of continually buying butane refills and pads. It’s compact, easy to use, and I love being able to simply recharge it. While you still have the repellent refill to replace, eliminating the butane cartridges makes it much more convenient. I feel like the rechargeable design will cost me less in the long run, especially since we use our Thermacells pretty regularly. Definitely worth the higher upfront cost for me!

Just 15 minutes before sitting outside on the porch, especially around dusk, turn on the Thermacells and life is great; no bites! First started with the beans years ago (pads and butane canisters), and these rechargeables just make sense as the next step. Additionally, they are attractive, and less likely to inadvertently get knocked over!

My elderly father spends as much time on the front porch as he can but the mosquitoes were eating him alive. I set this up for him this morning and not a one is flying around him now. He can enjoy his time outdoors and I have peace of mind!

Seems promising so far. I like That it only takes 15 minutes for it to be fully activated. I like that it is rechargeable and it can be used while it is plugged in charging. For me personally the 5 1/2 hour battery life is sufficient since I’m only using it on my back deck. Ideally would love to see the repellent price come down. I am happy to spend the money if it ends up, keeping me 100% mosquito free.

I use this for the first time this morning and inserted the 12 hour liquid insert that it came with. I had it on the front porch for less than an hour and a half and checked the amount of fluid and it was almost gone. It does not seem that there is a setting that I can adjust to let it go through the liquid slower. This is supposed to be a 12 hour insert and if it only lasts two hours, that is going to be difficult and expensive.

I got two of them one for my front porch one for my back porch and I have to use both of them just to cover my 10 x 12 back porch and not get bit. I don’t think they’re that effective just by their selves.

Fully charged it and put it outside near where we sit like it said and it warmed up and the mosquitoes are still everywhere. It's like it's attracting them instead of repelling them.
