[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with the Birdfy Feeder Metal Espresso . The espresso color is aesthetically pleasing , and I absolutely love the overall sharp look of the feeder. The perch that slides out is really cool, and to me, is a plus. The top is super easy to open and close making it easy to fill. The metal construction feels incredibly sturdy and well-made, and it's held up great so far against the weather and curious squirrels and the occasional raccoon . It definitely gives me confidence that it'll last for years without rusting or getting chewed up. The camera quality is excellent, producing clear 1080p videos that capture amazing close-up views of the birds. One of my favorite features is the AI bird identification, which has made learning about the different species visiting my yard both fun and educational. The full-color night vision is another great addition—I love being able to see activity even after dark, since we get the occasional hangry raccoon. The built-in solar panel has been a huge convenience. With my other feeders with stand alone solar panels, I've had issues with birds sitting on them and pushing them down away from the sun, which occasionally causes charging issues, so this to me is another plus. Set up was quick and straightforward since everything came preassembled. The app is easy to use, sends notifications when birds arrive, and lets me save and revisit my favorite visitors. The only improvement I'd really like to see is an adjustable camera, like the original Birdfy feeder. (I have the white one with the blue top and perch) Right now, the camera angle is fixed, so you can't tilt it up or down to customize the view. Being able to adjust the camera angle would make it much easier to capture different-sized birds or get the perfect shot depending on where the feeder is mounted. Overall, this is a fantastic smart bird feeder that combines durability, excellent video quality, and useful technology into one package. Despite the fixed camera angle, it's been a wonderful addition to my backyard, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys birdwatching.

We have now four Birdfy products and this newest addition might be my favorite yet! It is sturdy, stylish, and looks great in my yard. Best of all, even though we haven't yet had it for a harsh winter, I feel so great knowing that this one is metal and will hold up better to the tough midwestern elements. The metal material is so smart! Love all of our family of birdfy products and will continue to purchase them and enjoy.

I purchased the Birdfy Espresso Feeder from Sam’s Club a couple of weeks ago, and it has been an absolute joy. The all-metal espresso finish looks beautiful in the yard and feels incredibly durable compared to plastic feeders. The camera quality is crystal clear, and the AI bird recognition is surprisingly accurate and fun to watch. I love getting notifications on my phone whenever a new bird visits. The built-in solar panel keeps the battery fully charged, so I haven't had to worry about taking it down to plug it in. Setting it up on my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi was straightforward. It's a fantastic value for the price at Sam's Club—highly recommend!

I truly love this feeder! It is very sturdy, solidly built, and looks great. Setup with the Birdfy app was simple and took under 5 minutes. The camera and video quality are top-notch. Daytime footage is clear, and the AI bird identification has been very accurate with our backyard visitors. We currently have it temporarily mounted on our deck railing, and we are already getting a steady stream of cardinals and house finches who land on the perch without any hesitation. The built-in solar panel does an excellent job keeping the battery charged to 100% with about 6 hours of direct sunlight. The seed capacity is also generous—it holds about 48 ounces of seed, so it lasts a while before needing a refill. The roof latch for filling has a slightly unique design (pull forward slightly, then pull forward and down), but it opens up easily once you get the hang of it. The only hiccup during assembly was tightening down the perch. The box does not include any small spanners or tools for those bolts, so you will need your own tools handy. We ended up using a 9/32" wrench inside the seed tray with pliers on the other side for one set, and a 5/16" wrench with pliers for another set, and had to tighten down firmly to keep the perch completely secure. Including a dedicated wrench in the hardware pack would make assembly much smoother. Despite the assembly quirk, the quality, battery performance, and crisp video make this an easy 5 stars. Highly recommended for any backyard bird lover!

Just purchased the Metal Espresso Feeder adding it to my other Birdfy Feeders. The feeder is completely metal and has brownish/bronze color which goes great in the yard adding some color. It was packed very nicely and the instructions on how to set up the feeder were very clear. The instructions made it seamless in connecting to the wi-fi as I am usually not very tech savvy. This metal feeder has a built in solar panel on the roof of the feeder making it very easy to charge the camera without having the extra solar panel giving the camera a great looking appearance. I initially charged the camera to 100% and in the 2 weeks I've had the feeder I have not had to bring it in to charge as the solar panel does a great job. Filling the feeder is extremely easy as the roof tilts down to give easy access to the hopper. The clear windows shows the seed and gives a really nice look when filled. The perch on the feeder is adjustable giving you the ability to decide how far away or close you want the perch to the food. The camera just slides into place and is secured by some clips and a magnet to keep it in place. Although this is not an ideal setup for the camera, once you get it in and lined up the way you want it it does the job. Removing the camera is extremely easy and does not include removing any screws. The camera has great quality capturing some great memories for you. It does take a short video and then you also get some still shots. Prior to getting a baffle on my pole I did have some squirrels on the feeder but, they did not stay long as it was difficult for them to get much out of the feeder since it was metal. With the feeder being metal the squirrels will have a very difficult time destroying it. If you are looking for a feeder that is easy to hang and take down for refilling then this is a great choice. The hopper holds a good amount of seed also.

I have had many bird feeders in the past. This one might be the best yet. I was expecting a larger box when my feeder arrived. But I was pleasantly surprised with the efficient packaging. Then more surprised that the feeder is virtually ready to go. Just fill it with seeds, hang it up and that's it. Meanwhile, I topped up the battery on the camera, followed the easy instructions to connect to my WiFi and then plugged it in to the feeder. Voila! I am really pleased with the quality of the build and the thoughtful integration of all the elements.

Beautiful, Well-Designed Feeder — Birdfy Really Thought of Everything! I recently purchased the Birdfy Metal Espresso Feeder, and I have to say, this feeder is superior to others in many ways. It has a beautiful powder-coated finish that should stand up well to the weather and help prevent fading from the sun. The rich brown color is beautiful and blends perfectly into my woodland setting. One of my favorite features is the solar panel built right into the roof. Even better, the wire connecting the solar panel to the camera is completely concealed inside the feeder, so there are no messy wires hanging on the outside. Birdfy even included a clever little plastic end cover attached to the solar wire that protects the connection from moisture when the feeder is being cleaned. It's a small detail, but it shows how much thought went into the design. The camera snaps in and out very easily, which makes it convenient to remove when needed. Filling the feeder with seed is also incredibly easy. There are no screws to remove. Simply push the roof back and it flips open, allowing you to add seed. Then just snap the roof closed. It's quick and simple. Getting started was easy as well. I downloaded the Birdfy app, charged the camera, inserted it into the feeder, and connected it to my Wi-Fi. My husband then mounted it on our squirrel-proof pole. Once the camera is charged and connected to the solar panel outside, there is no need for regular charging—the solar panel keeps it powered. The video quality is crystal clear, and the microphone picks up all the wonderful chirping and singing going on around the feeder. Watching the birds up close is such a pleasure! Birdfy has really put a lot of thought into this particular feeder. It has a built-in adjustable perch and an all-metal seed guard that helps keep the seed inside the feeder rather than scattered all over the ground. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The Birdfy Metal Espresso Feeder is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, easy to use, and a wonderful addition to my backyard. I highly recommend it!

Just recently put my feeder out, not many birds around here yet, just Bluejays that are food hogs. Trouble with squirrels as well. Only issue is the tilt roof, squirrels were able to tip it forward and get inside feeder. Needs a locking mechanism of some sort.

I own two of Birdfy's Paragon Bamboo Birdhouses and I'm thrilled with the angled design allowing a side view of the nest and babies. The photos and videos are very good. I found the Birdfy Smart Metal Bird Feeder at Samsclub, and the price was significantly lower than at other retailers. The videos which start when motion is detected vary from good to better depending on where the feeding bird decides to perch. The build of the feeder is both sturdy and stylish, but the wide, side-to-side feeding holes causes birds to eat out of camera shot. A couple of design changes would improve the camera results.

Very cute bit first one battery didn't charge. Took it back and got a 2nd one. The 2nd one wouldnt stay connected to internet.i brought it back also. Don't waste your time on this product.
