I loved this vacuum at first, but now I hate it. I change the filters- all 3 of them- regularly and it loses suction so easily. The other part is that it is TERRIBLE on hard floors. When vacuuming on hard floors, it just throws all the dirt and hair back at your feet. I have to use the crevice attachment vs the actual vacuum head on the hard floor. We just redid our floors so now everything is hard floor but the bedrooms.... So we went back to the corded vacuum. So sad, but this was not worth it for how long the quality lasted. The battery also doesn't last long. It used to run for 45 minutes- an hour and now it only goes for about 20 minutes. I've only had this thing for a year.

I've had this thing for six months now. It's my first cordless vacuum, so I was originally thrilled by its convenience. But I grow more disappointed with it every time I use it. I have to clean the brush head (and sometimes the wand, as well) after each use because it gets so clogged with pet hair. The teeth behind the felt brush just catch hair and clog so quickly. The other issue is that the motor will just randomly stop and all the lights on the screen flash. I have no idea what it means. I turn it off, turn it on, and it starts up again until the next episode a few minutes later. And finally, the battery takes far too long to charge. I have a lot of pet hair and a medium sized house, and I can't do the whole house on a single charge. It takes hours for the battery to recharge to do the rest of my house. And by then, I've given up. Photos show how much hair gets clogged in the brush. The search for a good cordless vacuum continues…

This was my very first cordless vacuum cleaner. How excited I was to be able to pick up this vacuum and not be tied to an electrical outlet. This is BY FAR the worst expensive purchase I have ever made. When I vacuum I want suction!! I want the dirt and dust to be sucked up. Yes I ran it on high speed. This vacuum has low, medium and high. It's suppose to give 70 minutes of vacuum time. Although it doesn't stay, but this must be on low speed, because I am lucky to get 15 minutes. I can't get through two rooms and either the vacuum get plugged or the battery power starts flashing. Not long after that flashing the vacuum turns off. Well my house is only 1230 Square feet, not a large house, and I can't get my work done. So my solution was to purchase an extra battery. Still can't complete my home even with two batteries. There is a flaw too in the design of the vacuum bar. Between the roller bar and the plastic housing of the vacuum head it catches lint, dust, dirt, whatever and needs to be cleaned out on a regular basis. I have had my vacuum over a year I really really tried to make this work but I hate it!!! I do like the auto clean docking station, but that's about it. I replaced it today with a bissell vacuum that is corded, may my Shark rest in peace. So that's my opinion … hope you have better results. Hey Shark want to buy back this piece of ju$k.

Just got the hand held cordless vac a month ago. My wife and I are so pleased. It was and upgrade from the last one we bought from shark. We are very pleased with the run time, the suction, and the debris removal. And also the automatic tank emptying when you put it back in the home charging station. Well made product shark. That is why I keep coming back to you guys, you make good products.

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned, my main goal is to have a vacuum that can pick up dog hair (we have two Rottweilers) and this does the job and it does it well. I love the fact that I don’t need to dump it manually every single time, I vacuum multiple times a day and I just need to dock it and it takes care of that for me.

On the positive side, the vacuum is reasonably lightweight and easy to handle. The headlight is also excellent; it really illuminates the floor and helps you see all the dust and dirt clearly. However, the joint on the cleaner head has a serious design flaw. The upright lock mechanism is way too sensitive. If you only have a large, open floor space, it might work fine. But in a real home where you need to maneuver around chairs, under tables, behind doors, and next to cabinets, the joint constantly clicks and locks into the 90-degree upright position every single time you pull the vacuum closer to yourself. Having to constantly step on it to snap it back into the operating position is incredibly frustrating. This is definitely not a safe blind buy. I highly recommend testing the vacuum in a store before purchasing to make sure the ergonomics work for your height and layout. I sincerely hope that the next models will have this head lock design issue solved, since otherwise I could recommend this product.

I purchased this vacuum about a week ago. Pros: - picks up dust and hair pretty well - easy to hold and lightweight - cleans out by itself - cordless -the blue light in auto detect mode is pretty cool as it shows dust and such on tiles. Con - battery runs out quickly especially in the high mode (about 5 mins if that) -auto detect sometimes kicks in the extra power on the carpet but not always. -takes 6+ hours to charge all the way back to 100% If you have more carpet than tile/wood, then expect to plan out cleaning over several days. I have mix of tiles and carpet. My bedrooms are all carpet. By the time I finished one bedroom (in high mode), I had to charge the battery again. The eco mode is a joke.

This vacuum is amazing in more ways than one! The suction is unbelievable. The auto detect is one of the coolest features I've ever experienced and it totally work. The container in the back literally sucks the dust, hair, cat litter up so easily! Very pleased! One downside is the actual vacuum portion will get into the locked standing position while vacuuming and that can be annoying but everything else makes it worth it

This is my second Shark vacuum my first one finally went to rest so I had to get another and it was a no-brainer. I want to get the same thing as what I had because it worked so well. No Dyson for this gal. I'm on a good budget and Shark is very affordable and it works just as good.

I have never owned a cordless vacuum before. The last one I had was a Sears Kenmore canister that was more than 20 years old. The Shark Ninja is a great replacement. Lightweight and easy to use. Works well going from surface to surface and has good suction. I was able to vacuum my whole house including bathrooms and kitchen and did not loose power or suction.
