On the positive side, the vacuum is reasonably lightweight and easy to handle. The headlight is also excellent; it really illuminates the floor and helps you see all the dust and dirt clearly. However, the joint on the cleaner head has a serious design flaw. The upright lock mechanism is way too sensitive. If you only have a large, open floor space, it might work fine. But in a real home where you need to maneuver around chairs, under tables, behind doors, and next to cabinets, the joint constantly clicks and locks into the 90-degree upright position every single time you pull the vacuum closer to yourself. Having to constantly step on it to snap it back into the operating position is incredibly frustrating. This is definitely not a safe blind buy. I highly recommend testing the vacuum in a store before purchasing to make sure the ergonomics work for your height and layout. I sincerely hope that the next models will have this head lock design issue solved, since otherwise I could recommend this product.

I’ve had my vacuum for about a year, and let me just say I’ve hated it! First, the run time lasts about 30 minutes. The level of frustration I get when I am mid clean session and it just dies!!! 😡 I’m a mother of 2 and have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I need my vacuum to work and run longer than 30 minutes. Second, the amount of clogs I have to clear out of the unit every single time I have to use it, it’s such an inconvenience and a huge waist of time. I clean my filters weekly, but that doesn’t help. If you have a home full of pets and people … this is NOT the unit for you. The moment that front brush is clogged with hair, it’s no longer going to have the same suction and more hair and dirt is left behind. It’s more like you’re just pushing it around. I’ve always been a Bissell or Dyson person … consider this me going back! Even the attachments suck! Only thing I like about it is the self emptying feature. Keeps dust at a minimum. If your company would like to utilize me as product testers … I welcome that. Maybe I can help you make these machines better.

Not good if you have dogs as it keeps getting clogged up

Am I Doing Something Wrong?? I was so excited to get this vacuum. The first brand name vacuum ive invested in. But this is the WORST?? Even on eco mode the suction is too strong to use on rugs (being too "good" was not what I expected) and immediately jams, blocking airflow, and turning off the rollers. This isn't able to be fixed without turning it off and back on, adjusting back into eco mode, and almost always getting blocked again immediately no matter how I adjust where I start. Speaking of which, the button for switching between modes is directly under the index finger, causing it to be very uncomfortable to hold while trying to avoid this button. Holding it like this is also uncomfortable with it being too heavy to comfortably lift repeatedly to adjust positioning. Uncomfortable positioning continues with the button to press in utilizing the multi-flex technology. It's placed with ease of manufacturing, but not for ease of use. An additional inconvenient "feature" is the "self standing" lock. Any time you get near 90⁰, the head locks into place and has to be manually corrected before continuing, but is not able to stand freely while in use due to the posterior wheels and weight. I really want to love this vacuum for the self emptying and charging while docked, but every time I use this it just gets more inconvenient. Please help if you have any tricks, as I already discarded packaging.

I absolutely love my cordless shark!! I vacuum and I set it back on the port that cleans it out! What I love alot is the way I can bend the tube to vacuum under beds, dressers and anything else that I’d have to bend over to vac!! Great machine and worth the price!!

I purchased this product approximately eight months ago, and it has turned out to be one of the most regrettable purchases I’ve ever made. I sincerely hope that others who read this message will avoid making similar mistakes. Let me clarify that I generally have a fondness for Shark products, but this particular one failed to meet my expectations. The batteries in this product have an extremely short lifespan and tend to die quickly. We contacted Shark to send us a replacement, assuming that the issue was with the batteries. However, the same problem persisted with the new one. In hindsight, I genuinely wish that I had opted for a corded vacuum instead.

I received this vacuum as a gift almost six months ago. Initially I was really pleased as I loved that it was cordless and it seemed to have great suction with the floor head and I liked the wall suction feature. Over time the fuzzy strip on the floor head is almost impossible to keep even somewhat clean. The suction with the main wand is terrible and the opening is not angled properly to pick up dirt along the baseboard or anywhere the head misses. Plus the head is finicky about how it moves over carpet pile. It prefers only one direction and resists going from the opposite way. The price on this vacuum isn't that much cheaper that the other higher end cordless vacuum brands and so one would expect comparable innovation and functionality. Using it is a continual exercise in frustration and I vacuum on an almost daily basis. Overall, this is a huge disappointment. I liked my previous shark upright except for the fact that the cord was really short. I've also had the handheld shark vacuum stop working for no apparent reason.

Just got this for Christmas to add to my Shark collections and I love this machine. The design is great and i love the auto empty feature. The attachme is let me clean every nook and crannie and the way the nec bends to fit under furniture is a game changer for me. The machine charges quickly and I can get through my whole 4300sq ft house on one charge.

BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK EVER!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YIUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used shark products and love them. Never ever had a problem till I got this piece of trash! It doesn’t have any suction at all get plugged all the time. The battery dies right away. They is nothing good about it. I hate it so much!!!! So disappointed!
