Frequently have to dislodge clogs in the main tube and along the front roller, which is a frustrating mess and defeats the benefit of the super-sealed holding tank on the mothership. Doesn't last nearly as long as stated battery life. Doesn't work nearly as well as our really old plug-in Shark vacuum. Bought it cus we figured the top-of-the line newfangled machine could replace it. Spend the money if you're going to anyway, but don't quit your day vaccum.

It has multiple ways it can be used depending on your vacuum needs. Each change is so easy to make. You can complete small jobs in minutes. The suction on this machine is amazing and also adjustable if you need extra or want eco boost. It also does forward and reverse pickup. Battery life is about 70 minutes. One really cool feature is the auto-empty dock which saves you from having to empty the canister each time. All while keeping the dust inside along with the odor neutralizer technology to keep it smelling great. I would absolutely recommend the Shark Power Detect!

This is my third shark, and i don't feel it compares to the others that I've bought in the past. I don't like the power detect system. It doesn't always power up when you need it to vacuum up something. I didn't see any way to override it and increase the power myself. Also, it didn't come with any type of instruction manual. You have to scan it with your phone and try and figure things out that way.

I've had the power detect clean and empty for almost a month now so I feel I can give it a fair review. Since unboxing and assembling, I have used it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. For context, I live on a farm, I have horses and a dog. Myself, my Husband, and the dog are in and out of the house multiple times a day to care for the horses and do other farm chores. Hay falls off our clothes, hair falls off the dog, wood shavings, dirt, and God knows what else come off our boots, pants, etc and we need something easy and fast to help keep things clean. Our robot choked daily from the mess we all drag in and eventually just stopped working all together. If you're not familiar with farm life, it's literally impossible without stripping shoes/clothes all off outside before entering the home NOT to drag something dirty inside. If you know, you know. So far, this vacuum has fit the bill for what we need. Quick and easy cleaning up (think 15 minutes or less). On hardwoods/tile/hard floors, it's great! It's a little weird on the rugs we have. Sometimes it's hard to push on them depending on the rug thickness-this is the reason for giving 4 stars. If you only have carpet, this may not be for you. I am absolutely in love with the auto empty, and I don't think I would like the vacuum nearly as much without that feature. I also love that you can use it as a hand held to get to smaller, or raised locations and have used it to clean vent covers, window sills, etc. Now, would I use this as a primary vacuum to do a deep clean on my entire house? No. But for quick daily cleaning so our floors aren't a complete disaster? This vacuum is perfect and it does exactly what I wanted it for with ease.

The suction power is powerful, and suctions every dirt, hair, and dust out there. The battery lasted a long time, and I was able to vacuum a lot of rooms and areas. The empty system is something so innovative because I truly disliked getting dirt and dust eveytime I had to vacuum all over the place. This empty system avoids the trouble of that because it's just a one time thing after multiple empty systems.

Vacuum didn't even last 2 weeks what a pile of junk. Doing my usual cleaning screen gliched out and it won't turn on any more. In my 2 weeks of using this garbage it's ridiculously loud the dirt compartment door is terrible to use mediocre battery life and 2 useless settings do better
