Switched to Shark from Dyson and could not be happier. Battery life is great, suction is powerful, and the auto empty is a game changer! Been using for the past two weeks and it works perfectly for my hardwood floors and area rugs. Only downside with the auto detect mode is that it is too powerful for smaller rugs and can crumple them, prompting me to stop and restart the vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the most incredible vacuum I’ve ever used, and I can say that with confidence because I’m constantly challenged to keep up with a shaggy dog (see pic) who is a “heavy shedder” - translation, fur everywhere. This vacuum is so efficient and easy to operate. I appreciate that it’s much lighter than almost any other vacuum I’ve used, without compromising on suction power or capacity. I especially love that it works like a fine toothed comb - gets into crevices that might be missed by older models. I also appreciate that it empties automatically! I feel like this is the definition of a Smart Vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] there is so much that is awesome about this vacuum that i don’t know where to start! i was already impressed with it as i was taking it out of the package, but once put to the test - i’m SOLD and in love. just to name a few of the iconic features it holds - the detect technology that auto adjusts the active suction level based on how much dirt it senses, is amazing, along with its ability to auto-detect between hard flooring and rugs and switches seamlessly and automatically! the edge detect technology is also a game changer, maximizing the suction when it senses a wall or corner to use the most power getting dirt and debris. and probably my favorite feature of them all, (there are many more features beyond what i listed, these were just a few of my favorite), is the AUTO-EMPTY DOCK. when you click the vacuum back into the dock, the dock uses strong suction and AUTO-EMPTIES THE DEVICE EACH TIME YOU USE IT! then, emptying the dust bin is as simple as pressing a few buttons. i have never been impressed with a vacuum like the way i am with this one, so if you are debating it - GET IT. if you’re just in the market for a vacuum and came across this one - GET IT. you will not be disappointed!!!!

I love that this is easily accessible, I no longer have to drag my other machine out and wind cords. I have hard floors with area rugs and it transitions from one to the other is flawlesss. The first vacuum that the noise hasn't scared my cats into hiding. I love the lights, they are bright and help to see under the tables. The battery charge holds nicely, and the suction is so strong to pull up liter that us kicked out. I love this vacuum and would highly recommend it to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fabulous vacuum! It auto detects whether you are cleaning bare floor or carpet. It senses edges and a light comes on. It also has the ability to maneuver under furniture. It picks up pet hair easily and boosts suction if it detects a large amount of debris. This suction is great and being cordless is a terrific bonus. It is top heavy and may becoming tiring if using for a long period of time, and can not stand on its own. Small trade offs in my opinion. The most fun is docking the vacuum, engaging the auto empty. A little surprising at first, but very satisfying and easy to empty. Best vacuum I have ever owned, definitely worth the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great vacuum! It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and isn’t too loud. For it to be small, the suction power is large. The vacuum detects how much dirt and debris is in an area and will use more or less power depending on what it needs. The darkest shade of purple suggests there’s more dirt and when the light is solid white, it’s dirt free. The docking station automatically cleans the dust container which is really helpful. It also charges the battery which gives around 45 mins at full battery. I’m getting rid of my other vacuum and using this as the main!

Frequently have to dislodge clogs in the main tube and along the front roller, which is a frustrating mess and defeats the benefit of the super-sealed holding tank on the mothership. Doesn't last nearly as long as stated battery life. Doesn't work nearly as well as our really old plug-in Shark vacuum. Bought it cus we figured the top-of-the line newfangled machine could replace it. Spend the money if you're going to anyway, but don't quit your day vaccum.
