Dirt holder is standard. Battery life is supposedly over an hour. It’s easy to maneuver and sound volume depends on power setting. Detaches to a handheld vacuum and comes with a couple of accessories.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a Dyson animal balm for years and had no desire to change. With two cats, a dog, a hairy husband and hair down to my hips my vacuum needs are not light. I was really impressed with the suction, that's my main concern with stick vacuums. The roller material picks up hair and fur like a dream without wrapping around the rolled somehow. I was a little disappointed in the battery life. I vacuumed all but one room of my 1300sqft house, including the furniture and it died when I was about done with the final couch. That being said the maneuverability is incredible. I didn't have to move any furniture to clean underneath it. I vacuumed the walls, ceilings, behind the fridge etc with ease. I will probably continue to do whole house vacuums with the push one but for everyday little jobs I've found I'm always reaching for this one. I'm skeptical about the sensing but like that I can clock it to boost the power.

Bought this to replace a Dyson that failed on me. A little hesitant with the purchase but don’t regret it at all. It’s a great vacuum so far and does what I need. Strong suction and the auto sensing works good. I’ll boost it if I need to. Lighter than the Stratos and more power from what I can tell. The clean and empty just make it simple to use, just dock and charge and it’s ready for the next session. My only gripe, for the price, it should have come with the motorized hand tool. The pet multitool that it comes doesn’t really do it for me. Other than that, I think it’s a good buy when it was on sale.

It maneuvers easily and the handle is comfortable and the noise level is minimal so I can clean without waking up the kids! The self cleaning dust system is really awesome too. Makes cleanup easy

I’ve been a fan of Shark corded uprights since the original Rotator, but the previous Shark Cordless vacs that I've tried have been good at best and I even returned two models after one use due to poor performance on carpet. This one is a game changer with the power that has been missing both on carpet as well as straight suction dusting. It’s also light, maneuverable and I can't believe how quiet it is, even when the power increases. Not only that but the battery usage is surprisingly long even when using the powerhead and I am able to vacuum my entire home with much carpet on one charge and then some power to spare. When you add in the self-emptying dock, this is an amazing vacuum. On carpet, the immediate power increase is instantly obvious and unlike previous models that seemed to float on the top of the surface of the carpet, you feel this one digging into the carpet, agitating it (I can feel the vibration and power in my feet) and lifting the pile. The dirt detect suction increases are spot on in the expected areas where the cat lays or heavy traffic areas as well as sometimes in unexpected areas and they clearly add to the performance. In Hand Vac mode this is light to carry as opposed to competitor models; The attachments are decent for dusting or upholstery. They are nothing special but, Shark has previously omitted either dusting or upholstery in their attachment offering, and both are handled here. I wish there was a powered upholstery tool as the closest competitor provides and I continue to ask for a small, attachable hose that makes cleaning in tight areas such as the car, much easier. I am pleasantly surprised with the straight suction dusting suction of this model and the power does increase when dirt is detected. Even without that, the base suction on the dusting mode is very good. Minor cons are that the carpet nozzle width is small which can be a pro in tight areas or a con when vacuuming a large room. You can't charge this on the dock unless the entire wand is attached (Carpet nozzle is not needed but it won't charge only in handheld mode.) There is no tool holder on the wand, so they have to be hand carried. I mentioned above that there is no powered hand tool or hose but at this price point I am pleased with what I have. I really like that I can use a very effective, powerful, light and battery efficient vacuum in my entire home and I love the power with no cord. This has many bells and whistles that I didn't even touch upon as I wanted to focus on base vacuum performance which I love. Those additional features only sweeten the user experience when using this.

I bought this yesterday and it works well. I like everything about it but the battery life is incredibly short. My house is about 2700 square feet and it is going to take me 4 charges (5 hours a charge) to get the whole thing done. It would be fine to do a zone each day, but I prefer cleaning all in one day.

Pleasantly surprised, the self empty feature works far better than expected. Power Detect feature saves you from having to turn power up manually and the Edge Cleaning feature works good but is annoying. The elephant in the room is you guessed it the Battery! I charged the battery 8hrs before the first used, ran the vacuum full power during first use, it ran for about 12 minutes, battery life is better on lower power levels but it doesn't clean as well! At some point you would think that cordless tool vendors would package an extra battery with their product.

I need to use it a few times more,right now I like my old cheap cordless better. There is no way you get 70 minutes of cleaning time. I have a one floor apt. And it didn't last long enough to do the whole apt. It wasn't really picking up from the edges. I had to take it apart to clean them yet. I do like how it empty s out the dirt and recharges,but not sure it's a keeper yet

This is the most versatile and powerful vacuum than anything I have ever seen for a cordless. Self-dumping is a real treat. A vacuum that cleans itself! The attachments are easy to attach and very effective. Also, the power sensor is also a great feature. Love mine
