[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty System Vacuum left me underwhelmed. For the price, it feels flimsy, and the suction power falls short compared to competitors but it makes ir less noisy. The self-emptying base doesn’t add much value since you still have to empty it, and it takes up unnecessary space. It gets the job done, but it’s far from impressive.

I love this vacuum, especially the automatic empty. No more dust clouds. The only thing, the battery, when it's unplugged and in use the charging bolt status stays on like it's still on the charger and i have never had a battery life number to indicate it needs charging. That's very strange to me. This started at day one of purchase.

I bought this a month ago after moving into our new (very old) house that is still under reconstruction after mold remediation. As you can imagine there is endless contractor messes and dust. This vacuum is a game changer! I was able to vacuum fully under a very dusty king size bed by adjusting the handle to the bendy-swivel setting (The bed arrived while I wasn’t home and my husband set it up without cleaning the floors first). I also have a lot of allergies which makes dumping the dust canister in any vacuum, a challenging event. This is game changer #2.. push a button and it all goes into a storage can. I haven’t had to empty this yet as it holds quite a lot. The battery lasts longer than expected and allowed me to thoroughly vacuum about 1,000 sq’ plus the stairs before dying. This came as a package with the VacMop which is also a helpful tool. It works great but I would still recommend vacuuming first unless it’s a smaller clean up. I don’t like chemicals and prefer natural cleaners. I use a vinegar based, organic floor cleaner in the VacMop and it works great.

The features include selectable modes, automatic floor surface detection, multiple accessories, and a base unit with a built-in dirt storage bin. The vacuum does a good job of cleaning flooring and rugs. A multispeed motor creates different levels of suction. The suction level automatically adjusts based on the level of dirt detected and the types of surfaces being cleaned. Similar to other vacuums, this one requires a bit more effort to use it and also is quite a bit heavier. It’s absolutely worth it though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my home there are many different surfaces, and this one tool helps to make cleaning up and keeping the floors and other surface clean for my toddlers easy. I love that this one tool can be used on floors and converts easily for higher areas and couches. Light weight, easy to assemble and use.

I saw this vacuum cleaner on a couple of content creators I follow and liked the reviews of how it was usefule and I also like th feature of being able to click and lower it to get under sofas, beds or chairs. An also emply system is good along with the edge detect.

Horrible with rugs and carpet.. wanted a multi use cordless to do hardwood and then carpet/large area rugs.. can’t move the vacuum at all on rugs so it is useless. Does ok on hardwood or tiled surfaces but when moving to rug it abruptly stops and has no vacuum motion even when changing mode manually. You hurt yourself trying to vacuum Worthless to me so I have a very overpriced dust buster.

I like the vacuum. I've had Shark vacs for years and was tired of the cords. This one is easy to grab and clean up quickly. It seems like the battery lasts a long time. I thought I'd like the flex feature, but I don't. It seems flimsy. It hasn't emptied into the container a couple of times on the 1st try. I probably could have gone with just the vacuum and not the whole empty system. The suction is excellent and adapts between vinyl flooring, rugs, and tile floors. I like the light feature on it, too. I do wish there was an under appliance accessory for this model.

I love this vacuum so much! It’s so powerful and the lights are so bright which is amazing for my dark floors! I ran this vacuum throughout my whole place when I first got it and was shocked at how much it picked up! I usually vacuum a few times a week with an old Shark plug-in model which has picked up a lot and done well over the years compared to other newer vacuums, but this one blew that out of the water! The only annoying thing about this vacuum is that it doesn’t roll well on my area rugs. The suction definitely increases with the detect mode and it picks up a lot more stuff in the rug than my last vacuum did but it doesn’t roll well at all and I have to put a lot more effort into pushing it and moving it across the rug which is really frustrating considering how much it costs… but it still picks up very well and has gotten a little easier each time I use it on the rug so maybe it just needs some more time and usage before it gets better? My dog got into a bunch of crackers and dry couscous the other day and made a big mess (on the hard floor and the rug) that I usually wouldn’t use a vacuum on since the pieces were so large, but this vacuum picked it all up and left no trace of the mess! I was amazed!! Overall, a great vacuum but if you have a lot of rugs or carpet in your house maybe try a different vacuum.

The product is light weight and has decent battery life compared to other cordless products I’ve tried. It’s easy to maneuver around hard to reach areas and the suction has been great cleaning my pups hair! I love the clean and empty aspect of it, the dust capacity is better than other vacuums I’ve tried. Overall I’m super pleased with this product!
