I totally like the detection of what surface it is vacuuming, how light it is, and how easy it is to maneuver. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time—or maybe I don't last that long! The hand tools are not the greatest, but they are suitable for a quick flyover on the trim boards. The self-clean system does not fully empty the contents; it sometimes gets hung up on the way it is designed. I liked it so much that I bought another one!

I bought the cordless PowerDetect just a few weeks ago. I do like the concept of no cord but unfortunately the battery does not last long enough to vacuum my home. So I still need to vacuum with my corded vacuum too. I sure wish that Shark would include the second battery - which would certainly be helpful in keeping my floors clean. I like the clean/empty feature too. I empty it after each use even though you dont have to.

I bought this vacuum for Black Friday last year. I have a large house and was tired of constantly unplugging and replugging my vaccum for each room. This vacuum, sucks to say the least. If you have pets, do not waste your time. The suction part, gets clogged with pet hair in less the 5 mins of vacuuming. So you constantly have to go empty it even though the bin is NO where near full. Then my pet hair, Got stuck so I had to manually empty it.. and the tiny little plastic piece holding it together broken in the first month. Parts weren’t even available on the website bc they were out of stock. Then pet hair gets clogged in the roller brush, OFTEN. Plus my right tiny roller wheel, also gets pet hair stuck and you have to use tweezers to get it all out. I also can’t even vacuum my entire house on one charge! Unless you were to go in to lower power mode? Useless.. I have a low pile rug in my living room, and for whatever reason? I can’t seem to push the vacuum across it. Neither than my husband? I tried making sure all the brushes and wheels were clear? They are, still will not let me push across it. If you have more then 2 bedrooms, a living room and office, don’t bother bc you have to wait for charges to even finish it all.. and pets with hair, I wouldn’t even bother. For the price I would expect it to not get constantly clogged.

This vacuum does exactly what I hoped it would do. We have six cats and bare floors, and despite liners and litter rugs, they get cat litter on the floor. This vacuum with the counter rotating rollers picks up the cat litter without flinging it behind the roller head. All other vacuums with a roller make picking up the litter tedious. I can now vacuum the house in about half the time that I could with our dyson and other vacuums.

Definitely not what it’s hyped up to be. I disagree that it has a strong suction. It definitely leaves dirt behind. It does not life dirt out of the edges as the commercial shows. I feel very deceived. Not happy at all with my purchase. I will stick to Dyson.

Had for a couple of weeks. Great vacuum. We love the soft roller with the brush behind it. Our old cordless vac was fine, but only had spinning brush. To test how effective it was for dust, I sprinkled a bit of baby powder onto the vinyl plank flooring. Bet my wife it wouldn't pick it all up. I won. Had to go over it three or four times. You can prove the same thing yourself with a broom versus a dust cloth. Same principle. I'll order a second roller to put in while the first one dries when I decide it needs to be washed. Also love the self emptying feature. Saves a lot of time.

I did a ton of research before buying this, and I’ve waited 5 months before writing this to ensure I wasn’t being too hasty. Let’s start with the good- the self empty system is truly amazing. It makes vacuuming so easy, I love that function. Now, let’s get to everything else… I have two pets, that only mildly shed. It cannot keep up with their hair. My previous vacuum that started with the D word was much better at keeping up. There is constantly hair left behind, not fully picked up after I vacuum two to three times in a row. Then, I try to vacuum multiple surfaces, like hardwood floors and carpet stairs- and it overheats. It cannot do both. So, I’m stuck before company comes over with half vacuumed stairs. It’s a very first world problem in the grand scheme of things, but I’m disappointed that I invested so much money in a device that had great claims of its abilities, only to see that it cannot keep up. I’m a loyal Shark/Ninja fan. This one just doesn’t hit the mark.
