I had originally purchased a Dyson v11 and I was very disappointed when it wouldn't even vacuum up my cats food. I kept seeing advertisements for the shark cordless powder detect and couldn't stop thinking about it. I ended up sending back the the Dyson and ordering this and I am so happy. I've only had it a few days now. But completely satisfied.

I have only had this a couple weeks but so far absolutely love it! We are a ranching family so our vacuum gets a lot of dirt, straw, dust, not to mention dog hair from our 2 Aussies. It has been amazing so far. This was purchased to replace an older Shark cordless vacuum but I feel the PowerDetect makes a huge difference.
Save your money & frustration, buy something else!
I have had this now for 2 months. The vacuum is useless for my house. It assembles easily. I love the feature to clean under furniture. It is light and easy to push. It cannot handle hair on bare floors. It pushes it around and gets clogged multiple times even in a small room which requires taking the thing apart constantly. The AI setting is awful, just a constant slow down/power up/slow down/power up. Ecomode does not have enough suction. Power boost drains the battery before I have half a room vacuumed. Save your money if you have pet hair! You will spend more time unclogging it and your floor still won't be clean.

Good vacuum but not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum was great for the first 8 months I had it and now it barely sucks anything up. It just piles the dog hair and doesn’t suck it up. I cleaned it very well, checked for clogs, removed the hair that gets stuck at the bottom. And it does this on both carpet and hardwood floors.

High hopes were had
Having used my Shark for about 10 months now, I have opinions. I’m going to start with the good. I absolutely love the bin emptying process. It is the easiest I have ever experienced with any vacuum in my life. 5 stars for that. I oddly love the headlight. So weird. I never would have thought I would need that, but I love it. It is lightweight…almost too lightweight sometimes if that could be a thing. It almost seems like sometimes I’m lifting it off the floor when I shouldn’t be. Now for the things I don’t love. The suction is not as great as I had hoped it would be. It is not sucking up kitty litter from a tile floor which I would think would be one of the easiest things in the world to do. It does not suck dirt from the sides as it claims to do. I have made sure there are no clogs. If I use it for more than 20 minutes, it seems to overheat and die. Sometimes a quick reset on the base fixes it, other times I just have to give up. Overall, I would not purchase again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. I would give it 4 stars, but considering how expensive it is, I give it 3. I always go back to my first Shark navigator to compare my other Shark vacuums, and as much as I llove the cordless feature, I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

NOT Golden floof approved. Pushes hair around, clogs constantly, battery did not even get me through my family room. I do love how it reaches under furniture and how light it is, but horrible if you have hair to deal with. Wish there was a pet version.

Great design & features
I bought this three months ago for our new home. It picks up all the a Great Features !!changer. It lasts for approximately 45 days before you have to empty it and with the push of a button you empty it into the trash and not having to worry about having vacuum bags on hand, Best design & features Shark could have made.
Other brands are better. Very short battery life.
Bought this product and was disappointed in the battery life also service support they were horrible Too many robot and when I got to a live person they don’t know what to do or help with the battery issues. They keep trying to go through unnecessary steps for clogged hose. Asking me to drop a penny down it. What the heck does that have to do with the battery. Only last like 5 to 7 mins. Needs a recharge.

Nice design, horrible battery life
We choose this vacuum for the design, attachments,battery powered and cleaning container. First few times using the battery life was good (definitley not great), lasted maybe 25-30 minutes. After the first month the battery life is horrible. It last for 10 minutes the most before the battery needs to be charged. If you need a vacuum to do a spot clean here and there this is a decent design (if it was 1/4 of the price). If you want to vacuum the whole room I would suggest looking elsewhere. For the price of this vacuum the battery should last a lot longer then that. As a spot cleaner I would recommend it if it was cheaper but definitley cannot recommend it for a whole room. Stick to corded or find a vacuum with better battery life.

For clarity, this unit offers different runtimes depending on the cleaning mode selected. ECO mode can provide approximately 70 minutes of cleaning time, Standard mode typically runs for about 25 to 40 minutes, Detect mode varies depending on the floor type, and Boost mode offers around 10 to 12 minutes. If your unit is consistently dropping to around 10 minutes outside of Boost mode, this may indicate an issue with the battery or something else affecting performance. Almost 100% perfection. I thought shark had finally perfected their vacuum. The only wish I have is that when I try and vacuum my couch on a vertical and the head clicks into place it tunes the head brush function off so I can’t vertically vacuum the base or sides of my cocuh
