After almost 4 months of using this vacuum I can say in theory it’s a good vacuum but in practice it is not. On its regular setting the suction power is very poor, I always have to use it on the “turbo” setting. By how loud the vacuum is you would expect a greater suction power and you really need to aim to the center of the vacuum, whatever is in the sides will be left out. The battery is a joke. I can barely get 10 minutes of the vacuum working on the turbo setting. When I first got it I could get about 15 minutes of battery but after only 4 months of use now I don’t event get 10. And it takes for ever to charge and be able to use again. I definitely get the convenience of the cordless feature but what good does it make if I can’t vacuum for more than 10 minutes.

Having used my Shark for about 10 months now, I have opinions. I’m going to start with the good. I absolutely love the bin emptying process. It is the easiest I have ever experienced with any vacuum in my life. 5 stars for that. I oddly love the headlight. So weird. I never would have thought I would need that, but I love it. It is lightweight…almost too lightweight sometimes if that could be a thing. It almost seems like sometimes I’m lifting it off the floor when I shouldn’t be. Now for the things I don’t love. The suction is not as great as I had hoped it would be. It is not sucking up kitty litter from a tile floor which I would think would be one of the easiest things in the world to do. It does not suck dirt from the sides as it claims to do. I have made sure there are no clogs. If I use it for more than 20 minutes, it seems to overheat and die. Sometimes a quick reset on the base fixes it, other times I just have to give up. Overall, I would not purchase again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. I would give it 4 stars, but considering how expensive it is, I give it 3. I always go back to my first Shark navigator to compare my other Shark vacuums, and as much as I llove the cordless feature, I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

We love all the bells and whistles this has to offer. The dirt detection light, automatic switch for flooring differences, the quiet mode and the way the tube bends for hard to reach places are all wonderful features. I was worried it would be too heavy, but it is much lighter than the Dyson model with similar features. I especially love the addition of the soft roller in the front which the lower versions do not have.

Best vacuum I’ve ever owned and is nowhere near the cost of its D———— predecessors. Have been using it for a few months now and love the fact that I do not have to get up close and personal with the dirt and debris. It is so easy to maneuver in small spaces and under furniture. It is well made, stores neatly and is always ready to go. It cleans up the whole place and then cleans up itself!

I've been using this vacuum for a couple weeks and it's great, except on rugs. It automatically kicks up to high speed once I move from wood floor to the rug, sucks the rug up into the roller and then shuts itself off. I was really hoping based on the description it would work for my rugs, that was my primary reason for purchasing it, but it doesn't work. It's great on hard wood and linoleum though!

I purchased this about a month ago and have been using multiple times a day as I have a boxer dog who sheds like he's raining here and two English Angora bunny rabbits who produced a lot of wool The Shark PowerDetect Cordless is an absolute workhorse that has completely simplified my cleaning routine. The performance is top-tier, and the Auto-Empty dock is a total game-changer for convenience. ​While the power buttons are placed right on the handle—making it easy to accidentally toggle modes while vacuuming—it is a minor quirk rather than a deal-breaker. The speed and suction power are so impressive that I’ve already recommended it to friends and am planning to buy a second one specifically for my basement. The Shark PowerDetect pro outclasses my Dyson V8 in every category that matters. Despite being more affordable, it offers superior suction power and longer battery life for deep cleaning sessions. While Dyson is the bigger name, Shark wins on durability and overall value—Dyson should take notes on how to build a high-performance vacuum that actually lasts. Performance: the Shark picks up more debris in fewer passes. Run Time: the Shark last long enough for me to do my whole house and still have battery life left over. Build Quality: the Shark feels sturdier and handles daily wear and tear better. Cost-to-Value Ratio: more for money with the Shark I only wish that it came with the handheld Motorhead as an accessory instead of a separate purchase. Absolutely love this cordless vacuum, the clean and empty feature is great! I am a big fan of Shark products and this is by far the best purchase yet! It holds charge well and I can do my whole house with ease and I love the auto sense as well, it makes cleaning seamless when moving from hardwood to carpet. It vacuum's my shaggy rugs as well!

This is a total design disaster. Every time I put the vacuum on the station to suck the dust out, there are debris blocking the vacuum’s dust bin cap closing and leave the bin unsealed. You will see dust flying all over the place when you use the vacuum with the dust bin unsealed. Also the button to manually open the dust bin is sensitive(the bin is completely opened just with 1/3 push of the button) located at the extremely easy-to-be-pushed spot, so when you are unaware you will dump all the dust and debris on you and the floor when you are carrying the vacuum after the cleaning. This happened really many times and it is definitely from a stupid design work rather than just clumsy of me.

I upgraded from another Clean and Empty shark to this. This is so much better. The suction is wonderful and cleaned up my carpet and rugs that I had just cleaned with my other shark. I love the power detect system and the clean and empty because I hate cleaning the canisters. I also love that it goes in reverse as well . I'm glad I got this instead of other brands.

I think I bought my about 8 mns ago I think they have upgraded since I bought mine it sure does look like it . Mine doesn’t have the suction like it should . I read reviews about it and now I wish I would have waited till they made a better one . I love shark i have like 4 sharks but im not to happy with the shark detect clean & empty.
