My Go-To Vacuum

We have three dogs (one of them is a German Shepherd who sheds a lot) and a cat. This is the best pet vacuum we have ever owned. I also love that Bissell gives back to our four leggers.

The life changing magic of the FurFinder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous vacuum was my "old stand by" for many years. I thought it was doing a fine enough job until recently, when I tried to suck some kitty litter up, and it just sent the litter flying around the floor. Frustrated, I found the corded FurFinder and was ecstatic to try it out. It was incredible. It absolutely IS incredible. I had to stop to take a picture after not having even finished the first carpeted room because it had reached its full capacity. It is a little bit top heavy and lighter on the bottom, which is the opposite of my old vacuum, so it'll take a bit of getting used to in that regard. But other than that tiny detail, I'm completely over the moon and feel like my house is actually getting clean for the first time. For context: we live in an older home (pre 1900) and we have a mix of hardwood floors and carpeted floors. We have two kids and a cat, and this has vacuum has changed our lives for the better. Oh - one last thing - did I mention it is QUIET?! A huge positive for me.

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first - the box. When the product arrived for testing, we saw it wasn’t just any old box. How cute and clever is it that the company designed the box to turn into a cat cubby?! We don’t have cats so we used it as a treat puzzle for our dog, who loved it. On to the actual product - we think it’s great. The cord on this vacuum is very long, which to us is a huge plus. Our house is around 1200 sq ft per level, and we can vacuum a whole level without having to move the cord if we choose an outlet in the central hallway. Fantastic! The lights clearly illuminate all the crumbs and hair that come with kids and dogs (and a postpartum shedding mom), so we feel confident we’re not missing any spots. We feel it does a better-than-average job of picking up dog hair from our carpeted areas, and we like the two levels of suction so we can easily adapt for hardwoods/tile vs carpet. Absolutely love that the vacuum stands on its own, so we can easily leave it in the middle of a job if said kids or pets are needing immediate attention. And bonus points for the included storage bag, which helps us stay organized and keep all the proper attachments in one place. Now for the things we’d change: the upholstery attachment was just average for us. It’s not bad at all; just not the same level of pet hair clean-up that we experienced with the main vacuum head. We found ourselves having to do multiple passes to get pet hair out of the couch cushions. Our other “complaint” is that none of the attachments reach under our appliances very well. They’re all too thick to fit under the narrow gaps. Not a huge deal as we can use other products to get underneath things if needed, but an absolutely perfect vacuum (for us) would have an attachment for that, too. All in all, this is a great everyday vacuum for us and we reach for it often. It has a lot of great features and performs better than other stick vacuums we’ve owned. Overall we’re very happy with it.

I would purchase again

Very good vacuum with 1 minor issue - its supposed to be self standing but falls over sometimes. Think rear wheels should be set back a little further to balance top weight.

The Cord Brings The Power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two reasons I specifically wanted a corded vacuum are 1) more power and 2) longer vacuuming time. This corded Bissell vacuum is a rockstar on power. It pulled up carpet cat hair my previous battery-powered vacuum could never dream of, and the headlight is an added bonus I didn't even know I needed. No longer can crumbs escape under the edge of my kitchen cabinets! Even though the roller brush doesn't always get into the corners, it's a really simple switch to pop the handle off and attach the crevice tool thanks to a foot-step latch release. Longer vacuuming time is less of a win, because the dirt container is comically small. While I was hugely disappointed on sight, it hasn't turned out to be as problematic in practice as I expected. I do have to stop more frequently to empty it, but the vacuum stands upright on its own wherever I leave it without toppling over, and the container itself is much easier to open and empty than my previous vacuum. There's no twisting and unlocking and wrestling when it's got just enough dust to get jammed up. This one slides open in one pull, empties with a couple of taps, and settles straight back in. Then I'm back on my way with a fresh and empty receptacle, so I feel more confident that the suction power is at its most effective. Still, I would have loved to have more capacity to combine with the cord. Other things I like: -Sturdy. The heft was the first thing I noticed out of the box. Super solid while still being light enough to carry around with one hand. -Long cord. And with the cord-wrap at the top rather than the bottom or middle, I can easily wind it up while upright. -Two power modes. Low is plenty for hard floors or short rugs, and it's surprisingly easy on the ears.

A Vacuum to Survive Kids Kitties and Curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 4 from teen to toddler, with long curls and kitties in the mix, there is shedding and mystery crumbs everywhere. The mix of tile, hardwood, vinyl flooring and carpets also helped the Bissell FurFinder get a workout right out of the box! The suction is surprisingly strong, pulling hair from along walls and edges, and not having to stop to clear the brush head felt like a miracle in this house. No dusty fingers, no clogs, and no loss of suction! Of course there was the occasional snack explosion, courtesy of the little ones which challenged the Bissel, but nothing I didn't expect. The larger chunks (~3/4") gave it the hardest time or couldn't be picked up at all. It seamlessly moved from carpet to hardwood to tile, even picking up cat food along baseboards. I assumed a stick vacuum wouldn't be able to stand on its own, but not once has it fallen over. It's well balanced and much more convenient to grab and store quickly. There's a hidden perk to not having a dock stationed on the wall or a vacuum hanging out in the open that makes you realize just how much more versatile storing something can be. The dust container appeared small, which initially worried me, but it actually holds more than expected. The cord is extremely long and allows me to move freely between bedrooms, hallways or the main living area swiftly, without constantly stopping to change outlets. This makes cleaning quicker and more efficient, which allows extra me time. The accessories are easy to swap and expand what you can clean. I was able to clean the house, the car, outdoor rugs and finally removed a cobweb that's been living rent free in our living room since Christmas. The crevice tool and wand extension make it very easy for anyone to get into hard to reach places, the dusting attachment allowed me to clean the blinds, and the upholstery tool made it easy to clean King George's Kitty Kastle. Even my 3 year old was able to vacuum on his own after we broke the vacuum down to just the motor and roller. I couldn't tell who was happier about it, me or him! The built in headlights also showed me what I was missing out on, literally and figurately. They highlighted messes I missed on both carpet and hard floors and made it easy to clean up rooms during naps or night time without disrupting anyone. Overall I love how versatile this vacuum is for everyone in my house to use. Heavy, bulky vacuums were never a favorite but I would prefer it over cordless vacuums that die often or don't give the same suction power. This really feels like the best of both, giving compact AND powerful; and the LO setting works great for area rugs that usually make my vacuums panic and stop working. My only complaint is that the dust cup occasionally sticks. Forcing it open can cause spills and more cleaning, but I can adjust. This is a powerful, convenient, user friendly vacuum that I would highly recommend to those with kids, pets, several floor types... or Rapunzel herself. Daily messes become much less stressful with the right tools.

We’re so glad it’s keeping up with kids, kitties, curls, and all the “mystery crumbs,” and that the strong suction, balance, and versatility are making daily cleanups easier. For the dust cup sticking, making sure it’s fully aligned when reinstalling and emptying it over a larger bin can help reduce spills, especially when it’s packed full. We really appreciate you sharing this feedback, and if you ever need tips or support, our team is always happy to help at bissell.com/support.

Powerful suction with only a couple downsides

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this Bissell PowerClean vacuum in our extra bedroom that has the litterboxes for our cats, primarily to clean up litter off the LVP floor. It works very well for this purpose. The suction is strong. The cord is long enough. And the light on the front helps to make it easier to find the areas that really need cleaning. The dustbin is also easy to empty. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. It's lacking 2 things though. First, while it will stand on it's own, it's very top-heavy. I swear if you walk by it too quickly it will topple over from the slight breeze. It really needs a way to mount it to the wall. There's a small notch in the area where the cords winds up, probably to be used to guide the cord, but I ended up putting a screw in the wall and using that notch to hook it to the wall. This helps quite a bit. Second, it comes with 3 attachments, but there's no way to store them on the vacuum. There's a bag to store them, but it would be nice if the bag could be mounted onto the vacuum or if the attachments themselves could attach somehow. Overall though, a nice vacuum that will be pretty significant usage.

Lightweight and Powerful for Pet Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with this vacuum so far. It was super easy to assemble and even easier to use… there are only three buttons, which I love. It’s lightweight, simple, and doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. One of my favorite features is the bright headlight. It really helps you see dust, pet hair, and debris you’d normally miss… especially along walls and edges. And on the low setting, it’s so quiet I can vacuum while my toddler is napping, which is a huge win in my house. As a pet owner (and a mom with kids who shed plenty of hair too), this handled both pet hair and long human hair really well. My Aussie sheds in big clumps, and this vacuum picked it all up quickly without the brush roll getting tangled. That alone impressed me. The suction power is strong, especially for a lightweight corded stick vacuum. Most areas only needed one pass, and I loved how well it cleaned right up against the walls… I didn’t even need to go back with a hand tool for edges. The self-standing feature has been so convenient. I can pause mid-clean, go do something, and come right back without having to lean it against anything. I’ve mostly used it on hardwood floors, but I also used it to clean out an entire 2400 sq ft home and it did a great job. I used the attachments on cabinets, around the fireplace, and even on the couch, and everything worked really well. The only downside I noticed is that it struggled a bit with larger debris like bigger crumbs or chip pieces. It handled smaller dirt and crumbs great, but bigger pieces sometimes needed a second pass or didn’t pick up as easily. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this, especially for pet owners or busy households. It’s lightweight, powerful, easy to use, and makes everyday cleaning so much simpler.
