It also keeps our drinks cooler for longer than any other ice we have tried. It also seems to melt slower than other ice we have bought from the store. The ice maker itself isn't overly loud and is so handy. It is very efficient and replenishes ice as I remove it, which is so convenient. The instructions are easy to follow and we haven't had a single issue yet. We use a lot of ice in our house and it's great for drinks, smoothies, keeping bottles or cans cool, and for stocking our coolers. I also blend up ice from this machine to make homemade slushies. It's a hit with every single member of our family. This ice maker is a must-have for any family that goes through ice like we do and that enjoys a cold drink in the summer.

The nugget ice is really nice and works well for drinks. The machine is extremely large especially with the water tank add on and takes up a lot of counter space, but is a nice addition to the kitchen if you like nugget ice! So far we have not had any build up in the machine, and we have moderately hard water.

It makes the perfect bite size nuggets (my kids love just snacking on some ice now) and the reserve tank makes it easy for a busy mom to keep up with. It is a little loud while making ice (but I can't say I've come across a quiet ice machine) and im concerned about how hard it may he to clean/sanitize in the future but so far I'm obsessed! Also a nice touch it matches my other GE appliances.
