This toaster replaced our old stalwart of a KitchenAid and boy are we glad we chose this toaster by GE. It is easy to use, no complicated settings here. Its browns perfectly. This first weekend we did toast, English muffins and bagels. Everything was toasted to perfection. It looks great in the kitchen to. GE have obviously taken some time thinking about the design, it is modern but not intrusive. This is a great addition to our kitchen and a good choice for our family.

The features are easy to use and it does not take too long to get used to the timing for the perfect, even toasting. The toaster does the job in a short amount of time and on even sides. It looks nice in the kitchen and fits well on counter space. The slots are wide to hold a variety of breads and the frozen button is a nice added feature.

It also has pre-set functions to give your toaster more options. It has 1500 watts of power also it will defrost bagels in no time. It is also stainless steel for easy clean up and shine. I just love my new toaster it heats fast and evenly all the time!

the pop up spring is week . doesn't pop up all the way . I don't know if mine is defective or there all like that I'm thinking all because it's like that on both sides . I'll probably take it apart and put new springs in but real you had to go for a cheep spring . Makes me think the whole thing was made cheaply . I'm 65 and I know thing aren't made to last anymore but there is a point when it's just made to cheaply . Oh is this under warranty please let me know .

I like the style and look of the toaster. It matches my kitchen appliances and breadbox. Four slices is convenient. Seems to be built solid. I hoped it would toast quickly, but it takes the same amount of time as my old toaster. Although, it does toast bread more evenly and the lift handles work better.

Does a wonderful job of toasting and looks great while doing it. Nice even toasting. The controls are easy to understand and work. Both sides have independent controls so you can have dark toast from one side and light toast from the other, or a bagel and toast at the same time.

When you engage the "bagel" function of the toaster, the two heating coils in the toaster that should not be active in the Bagel mode continue to stay on and accordingly, the toaster does not toast only one side in bagel mode. This was a major disappointment as I toast a lot of bagels. If you use the "bagel" mode a lot, this is not the toaster for you. I would not buy a GE toaster again.

The quality of this toaster is fantastic. The appearance is stunning. The features are very easy to work with. The value was just right for my pocketbook. Overall, it's 5 stars. We got this just after our previous toaster quit and we are so glad we did. I would recommend anyone with a sizable family get one of these. It not only makes 4 slices at once but it toasts quickly and evenly. The different settings I have tried have seemed pretty consistent in what one would intuitively expect from a light toast to a dark toast and the settings are well spaced as there is not a big extreme between settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing toaster! I've always had a two-slide toaster so I was excited to have a 4-slice one for the kitchen. Everyone at home eats toast for breakfast so toasting bread is an every day occurrence and is now twice as fast. Each half has the basic functions such as shade level, cancel and bagel setting. I also like that each side has it's own crumb tray for clean up. The bread comes out evenly toasted and I can vary the shade level independently on each side. The finish is metallic which fits in well with my other appliances. Overall I really like this toaster!
