Sleek, Space Saving, Barista Making Expresso Machi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Semi Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder is a nice upgrade from my old coffee maker. It has a sleek, fully stainless steel design. The machine sits at 15” H x 13” W and has a depth of 11.” It takes up surprisingly little counter space and sits well under a kitchen cabinet. I have to admit I was intimidating at first by all the buttons and accessories when I unboxed the espresso machine. I am not going to lie, there is a learning curve to using this machine and learning to making a good espresso, latte, or cappuccino, but once I figured it out it became super easy. The buttons are well laid out and easy to read. The burr grinder is also quite good and incredibly quiet. Overall, I am now my own barista at home aka “my mini cafe” to my family and friends and highly recommend this product.

Terrible Product

I have had 2 of these machines and they haven't lasted 24hrs. They both leaked water out of the back tank ruining my floor. I would never purchase this machine again and if I could give it 0 stars I would. This has been the worst product I have purchased in my entire life.

Sunday cafe coffee all week!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coffee has always been my thing… I have tried all kinds of methods to brew coffee. This is a comprehensive way to create that coffee house experience in my kitchen. I can make espresso, iced coffee, lattes, with milk or without. That perfect Sunday cup of coffee I can have 7 days a week. Our family loves this and it’s such fun from grinding the beans and selecting what to make. I love how we can grind one cup at a time choosing the size. Having the built in grinder eliminates clutter on the counter as is having steamed milk built in. The accessories are well built and buttons on the machine are not flimsy. We have been using this many times a day and have had no issues. My coffee experience has been elevated and I can kick the pods to the curb. This kitchen aid makes the best cup of joe for our friends and family to enjoy!

Perfect iced latte at home, every time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine! Once you dial in your beans to the perfect grind setting, it pulls a flawless espresso shot every time. It’s surprisingly easy to use, after just 1–2 tries I felt like I had it down. The built in grinder makes it a true one stop shop for coffee at home, which has been perfect for making iced lattes this summer. I’m also really looking forward to fall so I can whip up cozy warm drinks with the milk frother (though I’m sure my latte art skills will take some practice, haha). Overall, it’s a fantastic machine that makes café-quality coffee right at home.

Loving My KitchenAid Espresso Setup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder for a little while now. Customization Options: What I really like is how easy it is to dial things in. You can adjust the grind size, shot amount, and milk froth just the way you want. I’ve been experimenting with different beans, and it’s been fun finding that perfect balance for espresso, cappuccino, or even an iced latte. Noise Level: It’s not whisper quiet, but definitely quieter than I expected. The grinder has a low hum instead of that sharp, rattling sound some machines make, and the brewing part is pretty calm too I can make coffee early in the morning without waking anyone up. Grinding Performance: The burr grinder is a game changer. It grinds evenly and gives a consistent texture every time, which really brings out the flavor in the espresso. The grind settings are easy to adjust, and the beans don’t jam or get stuck. Brewing Consistency: The machine heats up quickly and keeps a steady temperature, so the results are super consistent. I used to have a cheaper espresso machine, and this is on a whole different level. Cleaning Ease: Cleanup isn’t bad at all. The parts come off easily, and I can rinse everything in just a few minutes. The grinder doesn’t make a big mess either, which is a huge plus for me. Overall: If you’re thinking about getting a semi automatic espresso machine that gives you café-quality coffee at home, this KitchenAid is worth it. It’s simple enough for everyday use but gives you enough control to feel like a barista. Totally recommend it.

Absolutely terrible machine. Do not purchase.

I have had three of these machines and all THREE leak water out and are unusable. This is the most frustrating machine ever and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. When I called for a replacement, they mention they know these machines do it, but hopefully my replacement won't. Spoiler alert: it did. Do not buy this, put your money towards a much better quality machine.

Quiet, well built and consistent — Awesome all in

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder is a capable all-in-one that delivers consistent, flavorful shots after a bit of dialing in. I had no experience pulling shots before, but the included manual made me feel comfortable to give it a shot. After a few grind adjustments I’m making the best lattes I’ve ever had! The built-in burr grinder is quiet and produces even grounds. Customization is great, with grind size, dosing, temperature presets. It will take some trial and error to get everything perfect, but once dialed the machine is very consistent. Brewing is smooth and stable, with good crema, though frequent bean changes need re-tuning and the steam wand is serviceable but not powerful. Cleaning is a breeze with removable parts. Everything feels like great quality, lots of stainless steel! Overall, it’s a quiet, user-friendly choice for home baristas who want quality espresso without a bunch of seprate equipment!

Great tasting and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, the machine is gorgeous and a perfect size for my counter. The brewing quality is def high quality , like that of an Italian coffee shop. Easy to use - icons tell you temp, espresso size. The dials and coffee options are also customizable. There is also a pretty cool storage inside the drip tray for the extra espresso holders and cleaning brush.

Coffee Shop quality at home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’ve never used a machine like this, it can honestly be a little intimidating at first. There is a bit of a learning curve but I have gotten the hang of it now. The instructional videos on their website are extremely helpful! I also reference the user manual. You freshly grind your espresso beans with the burr grinder before you brew. Thie machine comes with four filter baskets for the ground coffee. You can adjust the grind size but I have stuck with the suggested level on the website for double shot brews. You can also do a single shot. After you grind your bean you press the coffee down with the tamper that is included. When you brew the espresso you have a choice of low, medium, or high temperature. I like my coffee extra hot so I use it on high. Also the machine heats up very quickly. And both the grinding and brewing are a bit loud. There is a steam wand to heat up and froth milk. You put the toggle just under the surface of the milk in the pitcher to froth it. The longer it goes the more foamy the milk gets. If you just want to heat up your milk put the toggle further down into the milk. I’ve don’e this with vanilla almond milk for my lattes I’ve made. I’ve also frothed a combo of almond milk and a flavored creamer. I haven’t mastered milk foam art at all but I’ll keep at it. This came with a recipe book that tells you how to make different drinks. I’ve made my fiancée Americanos and then lattes and cappuccino’s for myself. They taste like they came from a coffee shop. We are extremely happy with this machine!! Aside from the high quality coffees, it looks beautiful in our kitchen. The house we are going to move into will have a coffee bar area and this will be absolutely perfect for that!
