Fantastic all-in-one machine that’s easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loooovvvee this coffee machine! It's a great all in one machine that is very user friendly and makes coffee that tastes like it's from a premium shop.

Consistent Quality!

I am really enjoying this machine! It is easy to dial in, and it consistently makes quality espresso. The grinder is quiet and does not make any mess (the anti-static feature works well). For comparison, I use a Baratza Encore grinder for drip coffee; I like that grinder, but it sounds like a freight train compared to the integrated burr grinder in the espresso machine. This espresso machine heats up quickly and switches between espresso, steam, and hot water functions quickly. I was initially hesitant to purchase this machine only because my friends predominantly use Breville espresso machines. However, I am glad I went with this one. This machine appears to meet the same quality standards as my other KitchenAid products: we recently purchased a stand mixer and also have a 30+ year old KitchenAid refrigerator that came with our house. I am absolutely sold on KitchenAid products — they are built like tanks and perform exactly as promised!

Beginner friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great for those who are new at brewing espresso and wanting to experiment with different brewing options. The machine is beautiful and durable, it’s easy to product the perfect amount of espresso, you don’t have to wait long for your beverage to brew and it’s easy clean and purge.

Great machine but needs the right espresso beans!

This is a really great in-home espresso machine but the type of espresso beans you use definitely matter. Do NOT use dark roast/oily beans. Your machine won’t work right. As soon as we switched to medium roast espresso beans, we were in the espresso range and the shots pulled beautifully!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm no espresso expert and this is the first espresso machine I've owned, but I'm glad I bought it. Espresso is so much better than drip coffee. The grind size and quantity seem to be very consistent. I wish it came with more accessories for preparing the portafilter, though, as it can be difficult to get the grounds flat and even, leading to more espresso coming out one side of the portafilter.

I really wanted it to work, but reviews were right

I really wanted to believe in this machine but after a week's use I am disappointed - one unacceptable issue and one I may get used to: 1) The tank leaks - the reviews said it, and I didn't want to believe, but it does - a full tank has dripped on my counter twice now, so it is not "user error." Based on other reviews and my experience, this is definitely a design error that KitchenAid should have recalled. 2) Either the pump is not strong enough or the time is not calibrated well, but the double shot is way too short - I tried to customize it to a minimum of 30 seconds, which is a very normal time for this, and it stops too soon, and the coffee volume is minimal. So I have to run it twice, and the second time it seems that the pump "gets tired" and stops. Doesn't feel sturdy for the brand.

Most Dissapointed

I liked all its features and would have been very happy with the product except that it started leaking water at the water tank connector the very first time I pulled an espresso shot. I then saw on Reddit that many others were experiencing the same issue. It’s apparently an engineering flaw? I immediately returned it to the store I had purchased it and received a full refund. I was very disappointed that it was brand new and already had an issue on day one.
