Solid machine for at home use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a great machine if you like the experience of packing your own grind and making espresso the traditional way. I had a little trouble getting the pressure just right, but the machine does not disappoint. I love that it has built in storage for the different size cups so you don’t need to keep the accessories far out of reach in another drawer in the kitchen. It looks great on the counter and is a quality machine made with quality materials that do not feel cheap what so ever. KitchenAid did it again with this piece and it matches great next to the stand mixer.

Horrible

Third machine I received that was defective. First one just stopped working, second one the grinder wasn’t working correctly and third is leaking. Currently in the process of trying to return it and the process has been so frustrating. I’ve been on the phone with many reps- some helpful, some not and the issue is still unresolved. I do not recommend an espresso machine from Kitchenaid. Better go with Breville or the other many options out there.

Water leaking from tank straight out of the box

I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas and straight out of the box it's already leaking from the water tank. Wish I had read reviews because apparently this is a known issue thats been going on for a while. It's ridiculous that they havent fixed this and are still selling this product with such a known issue. We tried putting an O-ring in the tube at the bottom of the water tank so hopefully that works, because since I bought this over a month ago for Christmas it is already past the refund window. Even if it works, I doubt i'll buy anything else KitchenAid in the future. Ive lost trust in them as a company.

Makes good espresso. Has one easily fixable issue

First, I have to say this machine is quiet and brews just fine. It's SEMI automatic, which means you need to do some work ton get the best out of the machine. Now, to address a common complaint. If you read the non-incentivised reviews, you'll see complaints about water leaking from the machine. The issue appears to be the internal drain tube not properly entering the hole in the drip tray cover causing the drain water to drain onto the top of the cover and out of the machine. If you remove the drip tray cover, and install the tray with only the metal front cover, you should not have any issues. I'm not sure why the drip tray cover was designed with a raised hole instead of a flush hole in the cover. An easy fix for KitchenAid is to modify the design slightly. A tip for users: the descale function will output a liter or so of water. The user manual says to place a container to catch the water, but does not state how big the container should be. I feel like this should be noted in the manual. Make sure you are using a suitably sized container --- a small bowl or cup will not do. If the drip tray cover had a better design, I would give five stars.

Quiet Grinder Shines, Steam Wand Issue Disappoints

I really enjoy this espresso machine. The grinder is impressively quiet—easily the quietest I’ve ever used—and that feature alone is worth five stars. That said, I did start noticing a small but constant drip from the steam wand within the first two months. It only happens when the pump is running, but it’s persistent enough to be concerning. I reached out to the small appliance support line and was placed on a 1.5‑hour hold. I opted for a callback, but unfortunately never received one. I still need to get in touch with support to resolve the issue.

Terrible Product

I have had 2 of these machines and they haven't lasted 24hrs. They both leaked water out of the back tank ruining my floor. I would never purchase this machine again and if I could give it 0 stars I would. This has been the worst product I have purchased in my entire life.

Exceptional machine

I am in love with this machine! Once you figure out the proper grinding setting, temperature and which cup to use for a perfect cup, it makes the best coffee! Instructions are a bit vague, they could be little more detailed for the ones like me that went from a traditional drip coffee makers to this state of the art.

Easy to use espresso machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say, the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder has totally upgraded my mornings! As a busy working mom and wife, my days start early and move fast, but this machine makes that first cup of coffee feel like a little luxury. The built in grinder is amazing; the coffee always tastes so fresh, and I love that I can customize the grind and strength depending on my mood (or how much sleep I got 😅). It’s sleek, sturdy, and actually looks beautiful sitting on my counter — definitely gives off “mini café at home” vibes. Once I got the hang of it, making espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos was super easy, and the results taste just as good (if not better) than my usual coffee shop runs. The only tiny downside is that cleanup can take a few extra minutes when I’m in a rush, but honestly, the coffee is worth it. It’s made my mornings calmer and a lot more enjoyable. The milk frother is also a bit loud, but using it is optional. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed this espresso machine. It was easy to set up and use as there is a QR code to scan which gives you video tutorials. It definitely takes practice using this machine, but so worth it! Give yourself time to set this up, it will be worth it to take a few extra minutes with this.

Excellent All-In-One Espresso Setup — Quiet, Styli

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed. The built-in burr grinder is whisper-quiet compared to most machines, and the anti-static design keeps the counter surprisingly clean. The Smart Dosing knob makes it easy to dial in the right amount of grounds without much guesswork, and the shots come out rich, creamy, and full-bodied once you find your preferred grind and tamp pressure. The steam wand is strong enough to produce silky microfoam for lattes and cappuccinos, and the machine itself looks beautiful on the counter — it has that solid, modern KitchenAid design that fits perfectly in any kitchen. It’s also compact and easy to move when cleaning, which I didn’t realize would be so handy. Compared to the Breville Barista Express (which I’ve used before), the KitchenAid runs quieter and feels a bit more refined in day-to-day use. The Breville might still have a slight edge in long-term consistency and community support, but for anyone who values quieter operation and a clean, premium look, this KitchenAid holds its own — and then some. If you’re looking for an all-in-one espresso setup that blends performance, design, and ease of use, this one’s a winner.
