It wasn’t difficult to use and the noise level wasn’t extremely loud. I was given the option to choose my basket type from both single wall or double wall. I chose the double wall setting and used Harry & David Vanilla Crème Brûlée ground coffee. The temperature settings were a plus. I was allowed to choose from three different settings (Low, Medium and High). It was very easy to clean. Lastly, included with this espresso machine was a recipe book. I have already experimented with so many recipes. I made an Americano my, Macchiato, and the Espresso Martini. They were quite delicious. I will be continuing to experiment using other recipes. This is by far the best espresso machine I have ever used. I would highly recommend this product to all looking to make a great espresso.

Kitchen aid semi automatic espresso machine with burr grinder has changed my daily life for the better ,, recently purchased a new home and was elated to know that I have been chosen to receive this product for me to try , after using this product for a couple of weeks and after making multiple drinks before reviewing and giving my honest opinion. who would of known there’s tons of ways to make drinks using espresso !!! From espresso shots , to espresso martinis you’ll have a blast learning new drinks and polish your techniques , what I love this machine is the sleek stainless steel design , the controls are easy to use , the burr grinder addition is a big plus since you can use your own coffee beans and grind them on the spot , heck , can’t get any fresher then that !! The milk frother is easy to use , you just gotta master the amount of time , angle and hand technique to get that perfect froth , The portafilter is detachable and comes with a handle attached on top which you can be use to pull the container out to clean it or refill water. The water dispenser tray slides with ease to make it easy to clean once you’re done using it . I do recommend buying some extra accessories like espresso glass or ceramic cups , cappuccino mugs , saucers , spoons specially design for espresso/ cappuccino use. If you’re comfortable using ground coffee instead of coffee beans just make sure you get ground coffee made specially for espresso machines . Overall I highly recommend this product , the fun you’ll have , the money you’ll save daily , and all those new drinks you get to try daily ,, awesome !!! The compliments you get from friends and family after making them a cappuccino on the spot makes it all worthwhile .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in loveeee with this espresso machine! I’ve never had an espresso machine before and this is so easy to use once you try it out a few times. There is built in storage for the 4 different basket types in the tray. The tray also will tell you when the water is full and needs to be dumped, which I love. You don’t need to buy a separate distributor tool after the espresso is ground because the machine does it for you! The bean hopper fits a full 12 oz/340 gram bag of beans. On top of the machine, next to the bean hopper, is a warmer that you can set your coffee on. The water tank is pretty large and I love that it has a filter in it. The milk frothed is fantastic and I love that I can just pour out hot water too if I want. The machine also comes with a very detailed handbook and a recipe booklet. Honestly, I don’t have anything negative to say about this machine. It’s a little expensive, but absolutely worth the price tag. It’s very similar to the breville machine for comparison! I love kitchen aid products though, and love that they made this machine.

I had trouble finding the tray with some of the parts and the directions didn’t always show the next step clearly. In spite of this and with zero experience with espresso machines, I figured out how to grind the beans, brew the espresso, and steam the milk. I’m still working on the settings for the ultimate espresso but the results so far have been great. I’ve tried several of the recipes in the booklet and a few from internet searches with great results. It’s time to invite friends over for coffee and pastries. As any espresso machine would, this one makes noise during its various processes, so be warned if you’re making morning coffee and have light sleepers. I think this a great start for a first espresso machine.

There is a bit of a learning curve in terms of knowing how long to steam different kinds of milks to get the best consistency for lattes, but it’s something that gets easier with every attempt. My machine compared to this kitchenaid semi automatic was very easy to use once you dial in your settings. It took me a few tries to pull the perfect shot. I was unable to pull a shot with the double wall basket. Still trying to figure out why I couldn’t but with a single wall basket I was able to find the perfect settings for my medium roast illy coffee. The machine itself is very quiet and heats up fast. Beautiful stainless steel design and modern look. The burr grinder works well and you’re able to dial in your exact grind level. I like how it is an all one machine and you do not need a separate grinder. You can remove the bean hopper if you need to and it has a good air tight seal. Love the designated space near the drip tray that stores all the baskets and cleaning tools. The drip tray itself is easy to clean. The tamper and portafilter are heavy and great quality. I love that the portafilter is flat so you can tamp on any surface and not the edge of the counter. The top of the machine heats up well to warm up your mug. The steamer heats up fast. It froths my almond milk well and dispenses hot water for my americanos. One complaint I have is the water tank has an opening that I had to tape off to prevent dust from entering the tank. I think overall this is a great machine. Makes great lattes and americanos. I prefer super automatics vs a semi based on my lifestyle but it is a great machine for the weekend when I am not in a rush. Semi automatics have a learning curve but kitchenaid provides all the tools and a detailed user manuals.
