[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited when the Semi Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder from KitchenAid showed up. A big thank you to KitchenAid and Influenster for sending this item in exchange for my honest review. I was a little nervous wondering if I would be able to figure out how to work everything but after looking at the online 'getting started' instructions I knew this was going to be good. I followed the instructions, filling the container with fresh coffee beans and set the various selections (how fine to ground the beans and how much to grind) and then actually ground the beans...it smelled so good. I then went on to use the freshly ground beans in my first latte. The machine worked great. The milk warmer took me a moment to get the right angle but was so cool. The first sip was pure success. I have made many drinks at this point and now using the espresso machine is like second nature. I love having it and knowing I can have an awesome tasting, easy to make espresso drink any time instead of having to go out and get one. This KitchenAid Espresso Machine has become one of my favorite things to use every day.

The flavor is so so much better thanks to the freshly ground beans from the burr machine. I will never need to go to a coffee shop again. I was intimated at first knowing nothing about espresso makers but this is so user friendly. The machine does all of the hard work for you yet you still can customize the drink just how you want. My advise would be to set it up and test it out on a day where you aren’t needing to use it for your caffeine fix. Follow the instructions and you will be golden but I did it on a morning before any caffeine and it would have been much faster if I had a clear mind!

I have used different types of espresso machines at work and at home and I absolutely love this one. First of all, it was packed really well. Everything was so organized and nicely wrapped. The box was kind of heavy so I had to borrow a cart to bring it to my apartment. The espresso machine itself is heavy too which is a good sign. It comes with a water filter and it’s tank has a 3L capacity. It has four different baskets for pre-ground or freshly grounded coffee. I used almond milk for frothing and it worked great. Make sure you clean the wand afterwards and don’t leave it unattended otherwise it won’t be easy to remove the milk. The machine is easy to clean and maintain if you follow the instructions. I absolutely love it.

It also allows water to go in the tray but not as much. I was told previously that it should not fill up until at least 12 coffees. I can live with this now.

I wanted my own espresso machine and decided to with this one since it had more features that make using it a breeze. - The removable water tank, the removable/interchangeable coffee bean holder are both great when requiring a refill. I haven't felt the need to try different beans, but if you're more of an enthusiast, it'd be a plus for you. - - The wheels in back of the machine make it easier to refill water and clean the surrounding area, yet it is stable enough so the machine doesn't move around as you use it - I liked the color options that are provided for this item and selected the white one, which I felt is easier and tends to look cleaner than most stainless steel appliances. - I also really love the size of this one by comparison to other machines with similar features. I don't have a ton of counter space, this one fit easily into the rest of my kitchen. - I haven't started making any drinks that require steamed milk, but it's nice to have in case I would like to.

I did have to read the manual a few times and make my first cup with a friend who knew a little more than me about espresso making. The good points... It's surprisingly quiet, considering all that it does. It has a great grinder. The steamed milk comes out perfectly every time. The price is good considering all the capabilities it has and.., I'm not going to lie, it looks very nice and pretty on my counter top!!..(Tip, use 2 people to get it out of the box, it's a bit heavy!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this espresso machine because I was frustrated with Breville not being able to provide support problems with one of their machines. I have Kitchen Aid appliances and have felt they were reliable. So far, that is true. The espresso made is quite good. However, the portafilter does not clean easily. Grounds do not come out of the portafilter using my knock box. I have to scrape them out. The foam you can make is just okay. I've tried various ways to improve the foam. Maybe the pressure isn't strong enough.

Took a little bit of getting used to and cleaning is a little tedious but overall it makes great espresso, the grinder is super convenient. i'm interested to see how it holds up in the long run but for now i would recommend this for sure.
