It used to be wonderful and ingredients included sourdough starter but no longer! They evidently changed the recipe with NO sourdough starter and the bread is soft like poor quality bakery bread. It used to have a great chewy crust. I have digestive issues and can only eat sourdough bread. Sam's should not call this sourdough any longer because it is not. So disappointed!

Please bring back the simple recipe without “enriched flour”. I was buying all the time. Will not now that it has enriched flour that contains folic acid.

Delicious bread, BUT it is not legit sourdough. This bread has yeast in it, and those of us that are sensitive to that, we can't enjoy this anymore, like the sourdough Sam's used to sell. Very sad.

Sam's sourdough used to contain sourdough starter but they recently switched to yeast. It no longer has that tangy flavor. Now it's just white bread. So disappointing

Sourdough ingredients have changed without starter at all- seed oils and every time the bread is flat and burnt at this location. It used to be so good, short ingredient list and well baked.

Like so many other reviewers, I too, have purchased Sam's sourdough loaf for years, because it had clean ingredients - including sourdough starter. I will no longer be purchasing it until such a time as they get the real thing back in again.

Why did they change the sourdough? It used to be so good!! This new kind just tastes like dry, dense, white bread. I'm glad they went back to a plastic bag so I can throw it in the freezer, but the taste is extremely disappointing.

We used to love their sourdough bread, then it changed. I confirmed with the bakery what my tastebuds already knew- the recipe had changed. It's terrible now, no sourdough flavor at all.

We used to enjoy the original sourdough from Sam's. As everyone else has noticed, the new sliced version is disappointing. So much for the convenience of picking up a loaf while shopping here unless you're looking for plain white bread.

Gross! This is NOT sourdough!!! They changed the recipe all of a sudden and it now has a bunch of crappy ingredients with NO sourdough starter! I'll be sure to get a refund the next time I'm in the store and will never purchase this again.
