Great sourdough bread. Wish the slices were a bit thinner, as it is a LOT of bread in the middle of the loaf. Could also make it a loaf instead of a round to make it more consistent.

Now this is a proper sourdough bread! I'm glad I tried buying this for the first time a few months ago. It has the proper tanginess and texture of a sourdough that other stores seem to miss.

Used to be an every once in a while luxury splurge, but the sliced sourdough loaf has moved up to necessity level! Crust is crispy. Inside perfect firm but tender - great texture! Flavor has mildly fermented tang - not overpowering. Great background for toast or sandwiches. I buy a loaf & put it in freezer. Each time I need a slice, I take out one slice and put in toaster, at the 6 setting. When the toaster pops my sourdough slice is almost like fresh baked. I then slice that in half and it's perfect with my breakfast eggs & spinach omelette. It's just my husband & me at home so we don't go through bread as fast as we did when our kids were younger. Keeping the loaf in the freezer preserves the freshness and flavor.

I like sourdough bread because of it's unique taste. This bread, though fresh, had very little sourdough taste. I'd not spend the extra money again.

Sams changed supplier; different recipe. HORRIBLE. We won"t purchase ever again. Sam's ruined a good thing.

Over the past few months, the texture and flavor have changed drastically. It’s not real sourdough anymore. It used to be higher quality.

Have bought this for years and loved it. Something changed in May and it is no longer sourdough. It’s not bad tasting. It’s basically just French bread. If it was labeled French bread I’d still buy it but if I buy sourdough, I expect sourdough. Do better Sam’s!

This bread lacked in flavor and was stale.

It was clear the bread had been frozen, but I opted to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Any sourdough flavor was non-existent, and the bread was dry and crumbly. This was bought at a location (Sherman, TX) other than my normal one, and even though I knew it wasn't baked by the same merchant, I thought it might be just as good as the one I usually buy (in Maine), but it was not.

Terrible! Had no taste and certainly not sourdough!!
