Not Sourdough Bread

This bread used to be very good because it actually had sourdough starter in it. After not being available for about three weeks, when it came back it has different ingredients and NO sourdough starter. This is no longer sourdough bread so it shouldn't be called that.

This used to be wonderful but its awful now. This doesn't even resemble bakery sourdough bread from 2 months ago. This last and final loaf was baked that morning but tasted dense and stale. The loaf s were flattened out and thin. Not sure what happened but definitely not buying more until the issue is fixed.

Changed Recipe to Garbage

This new “sourdough” is not real sourdough. This is now a garbage bread that looks like any other. The ingredients list used to be short and sweet with only the essentials, now it's garbage. What a mistake they made with trying to quietly change the recipe.

Sam's has changed vendors for this product recently. This was a great item, now it's dense flavorless white bread. Not a quality sour dough. Don't try to fix what wasn't broken. As long as they carry this particular product, I won't be buying it again.

Good bread, just not sourdough

After reading all the reviews of the "new recipe" sourdough bread, I was hoping they were wrong. I was a LONG time buyer of the "old recipe" bread and LOVED it. I somewhat agree with the reviews that it's not sourdough. Even so, it's a very good tasting bread. I do wish Sam's would go back to the old recipe, or the old supplier.

please bring the old recipe back

I'm not sure what you guys did, but the previous sourdough bread recipe that you guys had was great. This stuff is terrible. Can we sign a petition to get the old one back? I'll pay more! Also, you only offer sliced now. The sliced is a good option but it shouldn't be the only option. You also stopped selling the Demi loafs (soup bowl size). Please bring those back too!

Great bread

This bread doesn't raise my blood sugar levels much. I'm really sad because I haven't been able to find it at my store in Caguas, PR for a few weeks now. I hope they don't stop carrying it because I've finally found a bread that doesn't make my health worse. It's great bread!

They have changed ingredients %26 is no longer sd

I'd give zero stars if I could! Sam's has changed the ingredients list in the sourdough bread. It is no longer actually sourdough. Now has no sourdough starter and tons of added, unnecessary ingredients that defeat the whole purpose of sourdough. The old, true sourdough recipe was the sole reason I would visit the store on almost a weekly basis. It really is a shame! Please change it back!

Different ingredients and higher calories

The ingredients are different and is now higher in calories. I've purchased Sam's Club sourdough bread many times before and always appreciated the short list of ingredients. The bread is noticeably different and I am disappointed that they would make these changes. I will no longer purchase this item.

Absolutely horrible I would give it 0 stars if I could! How is it even considered a sourdough bread if it no longer contains sourdough starter? New recipe tastes like plain old bread. No longer good! How unfortunate that something perfectly fine had to be changed.
