I waited 6 months before doing this review. This unit replace a 10-year-old stacking set, another brand. This combo unit is simply WOW. I can’t imagine any other unit better than this one. I did my research and decided to get it. No more changing laundry from washer to dryer. It does an EXCELLENT job with both washing and drying. I particularly like the detergent automatic dispense too. The controls and wash options could not be any easier. It is all done via the touch screen. The self-cleaning function is a breeze too. The unit lets you know when to do this. As far as some complaints I’ve read – READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. People see the huge drum and fill it; it is no wonder they are having drying issues. Every load we do comes out fresh and dry. Again, read the instructions. A dryer drum is always bigger than a washing machine drum, overloading is clearly the problem. Reason for larger dryer drum: Clothes expand when wet and require more space to dry properly. No vent and no 220v is also a huge plus. If your on the fence, just get it, you wont have any regrets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was bought a few weeks back - key observations - the washing capacity is huge - I can almost use double the load - the dryer dries clothes really well - I like the detergent and softner tanks so that I load it only once a month - the most improtant - load the machine and night and clothes ready in morning - no need to transfer clothes - this is huge with larger family.

I was a lot skeptical after reading many mixed reviews for all brands that offered a washer dryer combo machine, Samsung you nailed it with this one. My family could not be happier. The machine is easy to use; my 10 year old does his own laundry and preps for the next load by cleaning the lint trap. Laundry detergent and softener self dispensing makes life easy; amounts can be adjusted to your liking per load. Clothes come out clean, fresh and DRY. You choose your cycle; set and forget from wash to dry or set them to run independently. Machine is load with tech; AI, Alexa pairing, apps, web browser. I love jamming out to my Spotify Playlist. I don't miss a visitor, doorbell can chime through the machine.This machine is BOSS- 5 stars without a doubt. The only thing missing and I why only rated 4 stars is due to the lack of a pedestal, machine sits low. I was told that a pedestal was in the making, I hope it's available soon-I also understand perfection can't be rushed, this machine is very heavy.

I bought this a month ago and it’s the worst purchase I’ve made in a long time. They say it has a super speed wash/dry 98 min cycle, I’d like to know how that’s done! I’ve not had a load take under 4 hrs. No matter what I choose it will default back to what it thinks it should be. So I thought I would start from the beginning. I reset to factory settings because putting in a custom setting was a waste of time as it did what it wanted anyway, pulled out a level and made sure the machine was completely balanced and ran the calibration to be sue the weight sensor wasn’t thrown off somehow. I even went so far as to load each piece of clothing one-by-one! Still nothing worked. If all that wasn’t enough they don’t make a pedestal for this unit. It sits sooo low that I have to stoop down (even at 5’2) to remove the laundry, I mean really!? I can’t return it and I can’t sell it because I would never get what I paid for it, I’m stuck. Hopefully Samsung will come up with a way to fix these issues via software updates or something.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so amazing. It works very well, our clothes have never looked so good; at least compared to the old machines. Really like the "one hole" concept of the all in one device. Not having to remember to load the dryer, etc. The build quality is excellent, this is a substantial device. The user interface is easy to navigate with a large amount of choices. The energy and water usage is incredible. It uses so little of both you wonder how your clothes come out so clean and dry. It does take some time to do a load with the full AI economy engaged. We expected that and it is not an issue for us. I would recommend the Samsung device without hesitation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only washed about a dozen loads so far but every load has washed and dried perfectly. We heard rumors that the wash would come out damp but this is not the case for us. Every load came out completely dry and warm just like a traditional dryer. We especially like the minimal energy consumption, no 220V required only 110V. Very pleased with the saved space and effeciency of this washer/dryer.

This was purchased about a month ago, had a great offer thru my employer so I went for it. Up to today it has been wonderful, i found if you just leave it on normal and let the AI do its job clothes are done is less than 3 hrs with regular load. Today however, one load finished, moved on the the next load, after cleaning the lint trap which I do after every load, and now it gives me a lint trap error. Filter is clean, got inside the machine as best as I could thru the lent trap door but could not resolve the problem. No I am waiting to hear back from a 3rd party repair company so they can set an appointment to come and take a look. I am still rating a 4 star because up until now it has been perfect. I hope this one issue is not a sign of things to come. Also, just a suggestion, Samsung you are big enough to have your own internal repair group and not contract out to 3rd parties, I hope I am not waiting weeks to get this repair done.

I give it 4 stars because it solves a big problem: the clothes don't get mildewy if I don't take them out right away. HOWEVER, there are a few downsides to this product: 1- It takes a long time for 1 load to get done. 2. Some of the clothes denim especially, come out wrinkly. I have had to iron several articles of clothing even if I am taking them out right away. 3. I thought this might make my life a little easier—i would give the kids each their own laundry day and I would make sure everything was done to my specifications each night before bed. They could get notifications to their phones to let them know when they would need to head back to fold and put away their laundry, but no. Maybe they would do it okay, but the lint trap is difficult: 2 pieces, the lint doesn't come out in one easy-to-collect sheet, and they aren't very detail-oriented, so I am afraid of something going wrong and causing a problem that leaves us without a washer or dryer. There is a lot of maintenance to it, but I am not going to list that as a bad thing. The units we had previously probably had things that should have been don't too, the difference is that I have alerts that tell me to stop procrastinating and so what needs to be done. I am thinking of getting an additional dryer so I can re-dry the denim or dry other things faster. I wonder if the vented version would work better? Plus I think it said the lint trap was redesigned.

We are short on space and high on energy/water bills so this seemed like a good solution. I was hesitant to purchase because there are warnings online that 2-in-1 machines don’t fully dry clothes well, but after having this for almost 2 months, I can say we’re very happy with the drying. There was only one load that didn’t fully dry and it’s because some sleeves all got tangled up in each other. I loosened that and added a bit more time and they were fine. The main things I love about this machine are: 1. no transfer from washer to dryer 2. you can track progress on your phone and 3. Automatic detergent dispensing so you never have to measure out detergent. I will say normal cycles do take a couple hours to wash/dry and not the quick 98 minutes it advertises but smaller loads might be close to that time. The length of time hasn’t been a huge issue for us since you can start it and forget it until it’s dry and done. While I can’t speak on long term ownership yet, from what I’ve experienced so far, I definitely recommend this product even if you are not space limited like us! (p.s. installation did come with hoses unlike some things we read online)
