App is broken yet is one of the main selling points for the Shark Robot Vacuums. The SharkClean app, which is stated in the instructions to be used to control the robot and is used for set up, doesn't create account. The verification link that is sent to emails, when opened from an iPhone, doesn't work. The app, even if you have to create an account and verify it manually on a PC, doesn't recognize existing account, so it won't log on. Via other users on the internet, this has been an unsolved problem for at least 2 years. Customer support was useless. A 15 year old could make a better app.

I’ve had the robot vac for a few years now. I like it at lot. We just bought a self-emptying model as a gift. What I don’t like is the app, it loses the schedule and/or mapping at least once a year. The stop or start app buttons are unreliable. If the robot has an issue I get an alert, why doesn’t it tell me where it is? All the gos tech going to waste. Why? Why? Why?

Bought this product because my iRobot died. We have an upright Shark and love it so we thought this would be a great purchase. Save your money and go with the iRobot. The vacuum itself is okay. It picks up well, like we expected with a Shark but the app is so limited compared to iRobot. It might be fine if this is the first one you buy. It doesn't learn new areas. It completely misses areas even though it can get to them. You can't add new places or rooms. We have had to completely reset everything already and haven't had it a year. The app needs a LOT of work to make this vacuum worth the purchase. Not happy at all and at this point, just waiting for it to die so I can go back to my iRobot.

I absolutely LOVE this robot vacuum. I have had other brands and the suction level on the Shark is far superior to the others (I've tried Eufy and Roomba). The battery life is exceptional. I will admit, I found the mapping set up to be a little more difficult than my former Roomba, but getting it "close" to right is worth the exceptional cleaning level. The Matrix is more quiet than the other robots as well. Run, don't walk to get this or another Shark Robot Vacuum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this vacuum exceeded my expectations. This was my first time using a robot vacuum and it didn't disappoint. The vacuum comes with a base, this base is where the vacuum releases the stuff it picked up once it's done vacuuming. The set up took some time but it wasn't difficult. The shark app is easy to navigate and the instructions are very helpful. The app allows you to set up the mapping of the rooms and you're able to control the vacuum settings.I have a dog that sheds and this vacuum picked up the dog fur along with dust and other particles. I was extremely impressed by the vacuum and how powerful it was to vacuum. This robot vacuum is definitely a must in any household. If a room isn't mapped on the app, you're still able to use the vacuum by pressing the clean button on the actual vacuum. Overall, it's such a useful gadget.

Pros: - cleans nicely under beds - really fun to watch - app is fairly easy to use and it's nice to be able to tell Sharkira to go clean a specific room - self-emptying dock is really neat and can hold a bunch of junk Cons: - can't map multiple floors of the house; and if there's a step down on one of the floors, won't be able to map across that step - battery life isn't the best - fairly slow at what it does; takes hours to clean a floor - hair got tangled in the brush and the spinning attachment Probably not the best fit for me or for this specific home, but it is a nice addition to our cleaning regimen and will get used the most as a way to clean under all 4 beds in the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have hardwood floors with various height rugs throughout our home- so I’ve always been hesitant on an automatic vacuum. Since getting and setting up the shark, my mind has been changed. Fantastic. Every day at 530 She runs through the house like a champ. Today she did get stopped due to a babydoll in the floor from my 2 year old- but once we got the hair untangled, she was good to go. She does self clean once between finishing her run of the home and she’s only tried to commit suicide once by the stairs before we saved her. I can’t imagine not having her. We love shacleana and thank you for creating such a wonderful piece of technology.

I have fallen in love with the Matrix! It does a great job getting every speck of dirt up!! It’s a little noisy starting up but then it quiets down and gets the job done! The funniest thing so far ( because I didn’t scope out the area for it to clean) was he circled to the left and then to the right and just stopped! Then it said:: “I can’t find my way back to the dock!”

Everything from small pieces of dirt, dog hair to piles of dirt. It was so simple to unbox and get it up and running. I love the sleek design and that it can maneuver around furniture. It is so quite and I can control it with an app. Hands down the best robot vacuum out there. It also self empties. Amazing product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new best friend, Sharky. I love him so much. He gets all the tiny crumbs and stray hairs. He is very efficient and leaves no corner untouched. He is very focused and will make sure he follows the mapping plan. His battery life is great and when he is done cleaning he returns to the base all on his own. He’s very smart and super dependable. He is a little noisy but that’s his only flaw.
