I was hesitant to invest in a robot vacuum as I had one previously of a different brand, however I am extremely satisfied with my new Shark Matrix Self Emptying Robot Vacuum. It does an excellent job cleaning all my hardwood floors. We live in a sandy area and have 2 dogs so it gets a real workout. Since I am a senior citizen, it is wonderful that I don't have to crawl under the bed to vacuum!

I have had this vacuum for a few months now. It picks up everything pretty well. The issue I have with it is that it won’t empty itself into the bin 90% of the time. I have to empty it manually. If you have pets or kids don’t wast the money on a self empty one  And just get the manual one since you will be doing that most of the time anyways.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this can pick up pet hair, as we foster and can have up to 15 pets at once in the house. I really like that this seems to follow a logical pattern, vs random that our other robotic vacuum does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this upgraded Shark robot vac, my previous one did not map, not did it empty itself. Once I got the vacuum into the charger (the photo on the Quick Start card showed being inserted into the base backwards, so I struggled with getting it in right at first), and charged up, it didn't take long before it was mapping my living, dining rooms and kitchen. It's so nice not having to empty it every time I use it. I like the Spot Mode feature where I can vacuum just a 5x5 area if I wish. I do wish it were quieter, I cannot really listen to the radio or watch tv while it's running because it's rather noisy. But since it maps out the vacuuming, I can leave the room and do something in another part of the house or work outside. It does a great job of vacuuming, just wish I didn't have to use my phone to use the app. I don't know why, but I thought it would come with it's own remote, but guess those days are over.

I previously had a shark unit that held up to 30 days of vacuuming in the box and I thought it couldn’t get much better than that till this one came along! I love that this unit can hold up to 45 days worth of vacuuming, it come in handy if you plan to run it everyday. Emptying is also easier! The canister built Into the dock is very easy to remove and replace. No bags needed! It’s fairly simple to set up and map your home, after that the real features come in where you can send it to a single room or even go over a single spot! This robo-vac is definitely worth the hype. I would suggest it to anyone who has been thinking of making the purchase.

I have cats, litter boxes, cat food, those stupid cardboard cat scratchers, and hardwood floors. I vaccumed and swept so much just to walk bare foot in the house. I am a shark fan already, but was extremely cautious comparing robot vaccums. I was convinced by the matrix mode for the litter area. I have not been disappointed. Don't get me wrong I have to edge up some of the corners every so often, it's not perfect. He does great picking up those cardboard chunks from cat scratchers and hair. I thought I kept the floors clean, but the first time he swept he had to empty 4 times. Now that he is set regularly he may only empty once. Some of the reviews about the app made me worried and I have experienced a few issues but if you close the app out and start again the problem usually solves its self. I've noticed it acts up when you do too much at once. Mapping and room setting went quick. I also think you should update no go zones as problems come up like places you leave clothes. My only brush jam comes up when Gary runs over spaghetti strap tank tops. I paid full price for this guy, and feel no remorse about it. I'm living my best life without the sensory overload that is accumulating gunk on my feet.

This is my fourth shark unit I have a large house and now have at least one unit on each floor. Shark is typically very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend their products. I have three dogs so I also have numerous small portable shark vacuums. Great products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Matrix robo-vac is an extremely awesome tool in my house to keep it spotless! It’s been working fantastically well, and I’m very happy to say it’s been keeping my house clean with a super minuscule amount of effort. I got this machine about a few weeks ago, and it was my first dive into robot vacuums. What really delegated this from others is the Matrix technology they said is included, which means that it goes over spots multiple times throughout its run, which makes the cleaning much more “spotless” than other vacuums who do a “one-and-done” approach. Overall, the vacuum works really well for my apartment, and I’m definitely considering getting another when I move to a house with multiple floors. Unboxing and setup was pretty easy to do. Just downloaded the Shark app and connected my vacuum through there. While that works great for some, I use Home Assistant in my household for managing smart devices and routines, so I threw it into there instead. The biggest thing that I think surprises me about this vacuum is how quiet it can be. I have it running on a routine to start vacuuming as soon as it hits 2AM, and I’m a pretty light sleeper, so not being able to audibly hear the vacuum is a big plus for me. In addition, this vacuum knows where it’s going, which is a huge plus for cleaning just one room on the spot, or configuring it so that certain rooms get cleaned at different times. The last feature I really want to talk about is the bagless base station that the vacuum docks at. It’s a really convenient feature that keeps me away from prying at the actual vacuum to get the trash out, and it’s a must for me going forward with robo-vacs. Overall, I haven’t been able to find any flaws that really point out at me except for local control (potentially with an API?), away from the cloud. Having that would make integrations with other platforms a great experience, and would immensely level up how much I would recommend this vacuum. However, this is more of an advanced subject than what the generic user might use. Anyways, I’m very happy with this vacuum, and it’s been doing a great job at keeping my place clean and tidy with very minimal effort. Definitely buying another Shark vacuum soon!

I never knew how dirty my house was... this thing finds dirt and pet hair in every run! I feel like a pig because the "45 day dust bin" was filled after 3 days! Hopefully with this little pig running around every day ducking up the dust and crumbs, the house will eventually be cleaner. So far I'm very impressed. This thing doesn't get stuck under furniture like my old roomba constantly would.
