Make sure the base is close to a wifi node, download the app and rock and roll. This machine, in one word, is efficient. I have a cat, a dog and several people living under one roof and this cleans up everything we track in and around. Not having to clean a tray all the time is fantastic. Just set this thing up and let it rip. It is going to be very nice to come home to a clean floor in the house, effort free. In terms of overall design, it is clean and intuitive. The app is simple to download and use and the machine looks like it belongs in a space ship. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for several weeks now and am so pleased. I’ve had an older robot vacuum for many years using it less and less as time went on. It was loud and inconsistent so I’d gone back to my traditional vacuum. In comes the Shark Matrix… Set up was a breeze. The unit took about 30 minutes and mapped our home. After that, we set it off on its maiden voyage. She cleaned like a charm, returning once to the dock to “unload” all the dirt and dog hair. We now have it programmed to run at night, and although I hear it click on, it isn’t loud enough to keep me up. It does a great job getting into the corners and the technology keeps it running smoothly and not with the jerky back-and-forth movements. This truly is a smart robot machine. We’ve not yet had to empty it, but have removed the bin and it is very easy to do. I strongly recommend this upgrade if you’re considering it. The convenience and thorough clean is well worth it.

Works amazing at getting all of the pet hair that the broom misses and all the little sand pieces that attach to your shoes. It empties itself and you only need to do it once in a while. Great item for easy cleaning.

I never knew how dirty my house was... this thing finds dirt and pet hair in every run! I feel like a pig because the "45 day dust bin" was filled after 3 days! Hopefully with this little pig running around every day ducking up the dust and crumbs, the house will eventually be cleaner. So far I'm very impressed. This thing doesn't get stuck under furniture like my old roomba constantly would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had issues with the robot cleaning all the carpet. I also have a Roomba and never had that issue. The self emptying feature is very nice but it got clogged on first attempt. It did appear to get the carpet clean.

One of my favorite is the Matrix Grid Cleaning system that allows no spot to be untouched. You still have a room by room mapping system and you can control what rooms and schedule it. It has more suction than my previous robot vacuum cleaner. Another favorite feature is the Anti-Hair Wrap on the roller. No more spending an hour untangling my long hair from around the brush roller!!! It not only vacuums up my hair but cleans up the pet hair from our boxers with ease. I was used to emptying my previous robot multiple times. This one is bagless and has a self-empty base. Not only does it clean better but it’s made my life easier in terms of clean up. I highly recommend it.

The noise level is pretty loud, but after a while you can tune it out. The battery life is okay, it doesn’t last as long as I would like. But it cleans really good!

For my first robot vacuum I love being able to use an app on my phone to control it, letting it clean just a certain area is really nice as well. it's not super loud which is nice. it seems to avoid obvious objects, but has a harder time with wires/charging cords so it did get caught up once or twice. best to clear the area fairly well before letting it run. having the storage bin is super nice as to not have to constantly empty it out.
