This Robo vac does an OK job, but it's not great. It does have it's limitations. It will not clean the edges of rooms (against the wall), so don't throw out your traditioan vac as you will have to follow behind to get the edges. It goes a fair to poor job on medium pile carpet. It gets bound up with hair (pet and human) It does not clean in a nice grid like the y say it does. It does that for a little and then starts bouncing around the room in random paterns. It leaves some spots completely untouched. It occassionally gets caught under various chairs around the house and must be rescued. Every time it starts oit tells me there is an error and that I must clean something, but it's very difficult to understand the robo voice so I don't know what it's saying.It makes anouncements when it is noisily emptying itself. The sound of the emptying process is so loud that the announcement cannot be understood. It does a pretty good job on non carpeted floors as well as short nap carpet. It leaves untouched spots however, so I have to go back over them with a standard vac or run the robo again. I think if one were to tun this 3-4 times a week it would keep things clean except for the problems mentioned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new best friend, Sharky. I love him so much. He gets all the tiny crumbs and stray hairs. He is very efficient and leaves no corner untouched. He is very focused and will make sure he follows the mapping plan. His battery life is great and when he is done cleaning he returns to the base all on his own. He’s very smart and super dependable. He is a little noisy but that’s his only flaw.

This was a replacement for an older model. I really like this one better. The mapping system I think was way better for our needs. It truly seems to work better and more efficiently. I do like Matrix clean and spot clean. Had a spill on the carpet 1 minute later in was spot cleaned.

Received our shark matrix a few weeks ago and have used it quite a few times. Only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is that the battery doesn't last long enough to do a complete clean of our entire floor (takes 100 minutes so battery is dead after I'd say 60-70 minutes and needs to recharge before resuming). Everything else is great! It maneuvers well from floor to floor and we have tile, hard wood as well as area rugs, and door mats! Suction is great and has 2 suction levels to choose from (higher suction uses more battery power). The 5x5 spot clean is great when you just need to clean up dirt tracked in from a messy boot.

My old robot vacuum bit the dust after 4 years. I wanted a self emptying one this time. This vacuum does not disappoint so far! It's already had to empty itself once after cleaning 3 rooms. I didn't clean while I waited for my new one to arrive so I could see just how good it did. So far I am very happy with this purchase. It's not the quietest little thing but neither was my old one. I'm also really impressed with the mapping system. It got my house mapped out on the first try. We did hit a snag with the brush roller already though. I lose a ton of hair and it built up on the roller and caused it to send a warning to unwrap it. But that could be my fault as well since I didn't vacuum for 3 days. I'm hoping this one lasts just as long or longer than my other one.

Over all I am very happy with my Shark Matrix. The only issue is I have a cleaning schedule M,W, and F set for 1pm., and it starts at 11 am instead. So to remedy this i set the schedule to start at 3pm instead and now it starts at 1 pm like I want it to. Which is not a big issue. I feel like the shark internal clock is set for different time zone. But other then that it is great.

The set-up was quick and easy to do in no time. I have two large area rugs and the robot has had no problems maneuvering on and off of it. It works great for pet hair and would highly recommend!!!! Overall, I am very happy with this Shark!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this robot vacuum recently (the first time I’ve tried a robot vacuum), and wow, I love it. Easy is the word that comes to mind immediately with this thing: it was easy to unpackage/set up, easy to install the app, it’s easy to program “routes”, and it’s easy to clean out when it’s done. On top of the ease of use, it does a great job cleaning our floors, and has no problem with our numerous transitions from hardwood to rugs and vice versa. As a new parent who doesn’t always have to time to run a manual vacuum, this thing is a massive time and effort-saver.

The Matrix Self Empty Robot Vacuum replaced a previous AV970 vacuum. The previous vacuum could not hold a charge and the new vacuum is working fine. We have only had the unit for about 1 week, but it has done an excellent job of vacuuming and then emptying itself when needed. The new vacuum has not been fully utilized as yet since we have not used the "Matrix" feature. We are very pleased with the operation of the replacement unit and believe it will give us many years of great vacuuming. Both of us are "mature" citizens and the typical routine of using a manual vacuum is very tiring. The robot vacuum has been a very good addition to our house and we recommend it highly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ahhh this is so great! Setup was extremely easy, doesn't take up a lot of space. We named ours Lurch. Lurch is so quiet and does a great job of cleaning. Vacuums scare my puppy but Lurch doesn't bother her too much (unless it bumps into her), but if it does, I can always run it at night and not worry about it bothering her.
