I previously had a shark unit that held up to 30 days of vacuuming in the box and I thought it couldn’t get much better than that till this one came along! I love that this unit can hold up to 45 days worth of vacuuming, it come in handy if you plan to run it everyday. Emptying is also easier! The canister built Into the dock is very easy to remove and replace. No bags needed! It’s fairly simple to set up and map your home, after that the real features come in where you can send it to a single room or even go over a single spot! This robo-vac is definitely worth the hype. I would suggest it to anyone who has been thinking of making the purchase.

DO NOT BUY!!! I purchased my Shark Matrix and was completly not satisfied. At first it works well, however after a few weeks the robot began to miss multiple parts of the house and we need to re-map it multiple times a month. ALSO the battery dies VERY quickly. Completly not worth it. Keep your money.

I've had this vacuum for less than a year. I loved it at first and for the past 4 months or so it's been problem after problem. It only partially cleans one room. It won't even go to the other end of my house unless I physically carry it there and make it stay and clean. Had a call with the specialists today and still doesn't work. Only now I can't even map my house to get started. It runs for 2 minutes and goes back to the dock. Tried calling back and they told me I have to wait until tomorrow for my follow up call. How can I have a follow up call when I can't even do anything with the vacuum? If they don't resolve this tomorrow I will never buy another product from Shark. I'm a loyal customer and always boast about them but after this we will see.

This was a replacement for an older model. I really like this one better. The mapping system I think was way better for our needs. It truly seems to work better and more efficiently. I do like Matrix clean and spot clean. Had a spill on the carpet 1 minute later in was spot cleaned.

I have been using this Shark Robo Vacuum for two months and just love it! It has been a life saver for our household. My husband has several back issues and he is not able to push a vacuum cleaner. I also do not like to run the vacuum cleaner and it was getting neglected. This was our life saver. Love the job it does. This vacuum cleaner cleans in the smallest clearance spaces. It cleans under our king size bed that is carpeted. Our furniture sits high enough for the vacuum to clean under couch and chairs. It cleans under guest bed which is also on carpet. The rugs feel so much better. We are really thankful that we gave it a try because we couldn’t be happier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these vacuums but there are a couple things that need work. The machine doesn't empty hair or fuzz into the dump bin. It almost always gets stuck. I also wish it would get closer to the edges to help clean better. The suction is amazing and the making tool makes it easy to clean certain areas or the whole house depending on what you need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third robot vacuum. I psyched myself up to set it up to the wifi. I’d had horrors with my last robot vac but the Shark was set up in minutes. So easy! I let it fully charge which from 30% to 100% took about three hours. It does an initial map after which you can name rooms, set up no go areas etc,. My house is all on one level but has a transitional step which is too much for any robot vac. I have a 50/50 mix of hardwood with rugs and carpet in the bedrooms. Now for the actual cleaning. It’s quiet. So quiet I had to check it was still running a couple of times. It has a feature called Matrix whereby you can set it to go over heavy traffic or dirtier areas. That takes about 10 mins. It did a flawless job, didn’t get stuck anywhere or knock into anything. I love that heart stopping moment where you think it’s going to fall down the stairs (in this case to the cellar) but it pulls back. I’d used a conventional upright vac first as I wanted to see how much dirt it would pull up on a supposedly clean carpet and I was shocked at how much dust and general nastiness it got up. The self emptying feature is great. No having to empty it after each run and the filter is a big improvement over the typical paper filters. I find these tend to do a better job if you run it if not daily then every other day. Overall I can’t find any faults at all and I totally love it

The Matrix Self Empty Robot Vacuum replaced a previous AV970 vacuum. The previous vacuum could not hold a charge and the new vacuum is working fine. We have only had the unit for about 1 week, but it has done an excellent job of vacuuming and then emptying itself when needed. The new vacuum has not been fully utilized as yet since we have not used the "Matrix" feature. We are very pleased with the operation of the replacement unit and believe it will give us many years of great vacuuming. Both of us are "mature" citizens and the typical routine of using a manual vacuum is very tiring. The robot vacuum has been a very good addition to our house and we recommend it highly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time experiencing a robot vacuum. I was very curious to see if they live up to the hype. After trying it and playing with all of its features, I can officially say I’m in love with this Shark Matrix robot vacuum! I was a bit intimidated at first because I thought the initial setup would be complicated and lengthy. Much to my surprise, the set up was very easy and took me less than 10 minutes to get it running. I downloaded the Shark app on my iPhone and followed the on screen instructions. The app does a very good job at walking you through the initial setup and also informs you what feature this version of the Shark has. Before you vacuum for the first time, the robot has to do an initial run though of the house to map it. You get to see the actual map it produces right in the app. In my opinion, the map was very accurate to what our house looks like. You’re able to label each of the rooms as well as give the robot an actual name, which I thought was pretty fun! As for the vacuuming, it did a very good job at picking up dirt, dust, hair and other small things. We have hardwood and area rugs around the house and the vacuum had no issues going from one surface to the other. The only time ours stoped and got stuck was when it tried to pick up something it shouldn’t have, like a shoelace or piece of ribbon in our case. The robot will automatically go back to its base when it’s done clearing, needs to recharge or needs to empty itself. When it empties, the robot goes in the base where another vacuum like system sucks all the debris into the base. We are able to get 8 or 9 clearing cycles before we have to empty the base, so it does hold a lot. There are no bags either. All you need to do is take the container out of the base, flip the latch and everything easily dumps out. The app is impressive as well. It’ll give you a cleaning history where you can see where it cleaned, run time and more. It allows you to program a cleaning schedule where it will clean at certain times. There is also an alarm on it that you can use if you’ve lost the robot somewhere! The app also lets you spot clean a particular area buy just selecting the location you want it to focus on. There were two negatives about the Shark that I noticed. The first and most noticeable is that it’s a bit loud. It’s not as loud as a traditional vacuum but still noisy if you’re trying to watch tv or working from home. One other downside I noticed is that it doesn’t clean corners very well. I think it’s circular design doesn’t help it much in corners. Not a dealbreaker for us but just something to keep in mind. Overall, however, this Shark Matrix robot vacuum is amazing. The setup process is quick and easy and also very informative. The app that it uses is well laid out, easy to navigate and allows you to control everything from your phone. It’s really nice coming home to clean floors every day. Our whole family has fun with it! I’d highly recommend to others looking for a quality, well designed and effective robot vacuum. We are in love with ours and like its cleaning ability and additional features it has to offer.

This can be controlled and managed in multiple ways for convenience. This empties itself as well. A great addition to any cleaning routine.
