Since there is so much volume in each bag, I like to freeze it in 1-pound batches and pull one out the day before I need it for a meal. It works great! This cheese melts well and has a great flavor! I love that even though it's pre-shredded, it never has a gritty or powdery texture in any recipes.

So, I was excited to try this 5 pound mozzarella cheese. I have used it both cooked ( melted in sandwiches and quesadillas) and as is in salads with equal success. This cheese is mild, but flavorful. It makes any dish tastier, but does not overpower other ingredients. The only issue that I have noticed with the cheese is the lack of any closure on the bag. Basically, I had to fold one side of the bag under the cheese to keep it fresh in the fridge. Otherwise, it is great fresh cheese at an affordable price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes cheese.

What is mozzarella is the absolute best! And that comes from someone that works in a pizzeria! It’s wonderful for any sauces. This shredded mozzarella cheese is good quality, whole milk, melts well for shredded cheese. I typically buy blocks of cheese for that reason. It’s a little hard/firm for mozzerella cheese, but I believe it’s because of the processing and forming the shape. This cheese does well on pizza and has a good flavor, my children will eat it out of a bowl. I would not buy this cheese to just eat, but I buy to cook with and mix in other cheeses to provide a larger variety of flavor. I wish the size of the pieces were smaller.
