[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great steam cleaner! The assembly was quick and easy and the instructions were clear. The vacuum comes with multiple attachments so you can clean anything from furniture to crevices. The clean and dirty water tanks are a great size so you don't have to dump or refill so quickly. It took me a minute to understand the handle and how you pull it to get the water/soap solution to dispense, but once I got the hang of it it was simple enough. It has the capability of running two different cleaning options - steam max and steam pretreat. I used both options and they worked great! My children had gotten toothpaste on the carpet and I had had a hard time getting it off once it had dried. This machine got it all out! I pretreated it with steam and then went over it on the regular steam and cleaning. The machine seems to clean well overall. I will say, the carpets were a little wetter than I expected but they could be walked on about 2-3 hours later. The clean up was ok. I do like how easily it is to pop off the brush roller cover and clean the catch and clean tray. I am disappointed that I cannot remove the roll to clean it without unscrewing part of the bottom of the vacuum. Overall, it is a great product and I know it will be very useful!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am writing to share my review of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam upright carpet and upholstery cleaner. Overall, the cleaning power is fantastic, with plenty of suction for both carpets and upholstery. I have used this vacuum for multiple applications since I've had it and have been impressed with how well it cleans each area of my house. Shortly after I received it, my dog got injured and bled all over on an almost white area rug; the Bissell Hydrosteam successfully removed all the blood, pet hair, and other, stubborn debris. I didn't even realize my carpet was that dirty despite daily vacuuming. The steam function definitely helped on the more difficult stains and to loosen any debris from my dogs injury. I thought I was going to have to throw the rug away but it now looks better than it did before! The steam function also helped soften the creases in a new area rug I just put in my daughter's room, which I feel is a great option and unique feature. I especially liked that it used real steam so I wasn't worried about burning or melting the fibers in the carpet. I also used the easy-to-use attachments to clean a rocking chair, and it now looks like a new chair. Just look at the before and after pictures! The upholstery cord is more than adequate in length, and the sprayer is very simple to operate. My only minor critique is that controlling the spray in small areas, such as the arms of a chair, can be challenging due to a little overspray. This vacuum is an outstanding, heavy-duty, and well-made machine. The self-cleaning feature makes it extremely easy to clean, and the design allows for convenient access to all parts that require cleaning. I've used others that were really difficult and tedious to clean, so I didn't ever feel like using them. The Bissell Hydrosteam is so easy to clean and does such a good job that I am looking forward to cleaning all my other rugs and upholstered furniture. I really enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to anyone who has carpet, area rugs, or upholstered furniture in their home.

I was under the impression the rental had more power, suction & better ability to clean. After using the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam I will never rent another carpet cleaner again. I am amazed at what a good job the Revolution Hydrosteam did. Our carpets are cleaned on a regular basis- both vacuuming & carpet cleaning. I was shocked at the amount of dirt & dog hair that was pulled out! The steam did an incredible job loosening dirt, debris & hair. I love knowing that this added feature also helped clean the carpet. I managed to get out stuck on smoothie & dirt from pets & kids. The machine was so easy to use and it moved back and forth on the carpet with ease. I love how easy it is to clean as well. The self clean hand held tools & pull back front panel means the machine cleans but can be cleaned thoroughly as well. I will absolutely be recommending this to family & friends!

We kept getting grease stains all over our carpet upstairs. It took us a while to figure out where the grease stains came from. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam got those stains out ENTIRELY! I was so excited to try it that I forgot to take before pictures of the grease upstairs. I did have to do it once, let it dry, and the clean it twice to make it go away entirely, but it was totally worth it. The pictures I've shared are from our downstairs carpet where it is highly trafficked. We had some grease stains there. The pictures show how it looks after once over. I'm certain they will be gone after the carpet drys and I do it again. The hose self cleans, which is amazing. And the top of the main suction part comes apart entirely so an EASY clean. My last carpet cleaner got mold there because we couldn't take it apart, so this was awesome. I think the steam cleaning portion of the vacuum really makes a difference. I will say that the solution they want you to use is very strong. I recommend planning to be able to ventilate well while it drys. I also tried it on my couch and it looks amazing!

It is very easy to use and has a couple different settings which is great. I really like that you can pretreat a spot with steam first and then switch to the full cleaning mode. This carpet cleaner is also pretty quiet to use. I cleaned one section of a room so that I could see the difference, which you could definitely tell which was cleaned and which was not. I also really liked that I was able to clean my couch with the attachments. I was easily able to remove sticky messes made by my children. I really appreciated that it uses real steam and adds to the cleaning unit as a whole. When I was done, it was very easy to clean and get all the gross yuck from my carpets. I really like this carpet cleaner and would definitely recommend it to anyone that was looking to purchase one.

I was actually giggling with excitement as I watched the Bissel Revolution Hydrosteam leave a pristine trail of carpet in its wake. Overall, this carpet cleaner cleans better than I ever would have guessed. Additionally, the ease of use puts it in another league. I was very eager to get to cleaning, and thankfully it was maybe 2 minutes of unboxing and then straight to cleaning. It came with two bottles of cleaning solution and they have made my carpets smell heavenly. The steam coming out of this cleaner means business. As soon as you turn it on, it's ready to steam in 35 seconds (the handy light comes on). I was blown away on just how much it steams. And then the suction after trigger release is the most therapeutic part of it all. I was both excited and disgusted as I watched the dirty water tank fill with dark brown/black water. How did that come from carpet I had professionally cleaned two months before? I am so beyond pleased with this machine. I'm just mad at myself for not getting one sooner! 10/10 would recommend!

We've been using an older model Bissell cleaner for several years. We didn't realize we needed an upgrade until we used the Hydrosteam! We have two children and two fur-children in our home and plenty of messes so it feels like we're always cleaning something around here. The Hydrosteam tackled a variety of messes with ease. New stains? No problem. Sticky drinks? No issues. Pet stains? A thing of the past. We even took it to my dad's house to test and treat some year's-old staining that is now completely gone thanks to the Hydrosteam. I believe that it can handle anything! The steam power function is a great addition and you can see the benefits. This is hands down the best carpet cleaner we've used and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Our usual handheld stick vacuum has done an okay job in cleaning, or so we though…the Bissell picked up a lot of dirt and when we used our stick vacuum again, it didn't pick up as much dust as previously. We also tried the Bissell on a chair, which had some cheese powder stains (because kids…) and the stains were completely removed. In general, the steam power worked great, but the Bissell would have been even better if the suction for the water/steam was stronger. It took at least 12 hours for the chair to dry, and around a similar timeframe for the carpet to completely dry. The self cleaning feature was nice and definitely made cleaning it after use so much easier. Overall, quite pleased with this vacuum!

I was truly impressed with how easy it was to assemble this Hydrosteam. Immediately after assembling, which took a total of 4 minutes, I began to fill up the tank with water and cleaner. After placing the tank back on the device, the Hydrosteam was ready to go! Wowza - it got out the dirt stains, sticky chocolate and pasta sauce from our living room. The steam power function was powerful and very necessary for our family of messy kids (including our dog). Watching the dirty water inside the cleaner was satisfying and another testament to how much quality is displayed in this Bissel. Although I haven't utilized the self-cleaning function yet, I'm looking forward to saving time using this tool. We now have 3 Bissel devices and look forward to buying more!

It felt powerful but still lightweight and easy to maneuver, which made the whole process much more enjoyable than I expected. It honestly felt like using a luxury appliance—the design is sleek and attractive, and it just feels high-quality. It did a great job tackling sticky and stuck-on messes. I noticed areas that normally take a lot of effort came up much easier, especially when using the pretreat function, and it was really satisfying to see the dirt and grime getting pulled up out of the carpet. The steam power is AMAZING. Seeing the real steam in action made it feel like it was doing a deeper clean than a typical carpet cleaner. The amount of dirt in the dirty water tank (thanks kids and dogs on a farm) also proved that it WAS doing a deeper clean (yuck). I really appreciated that it uses actual steam—it gave me confidence that it was loosening grime and sanitizing at the same time. The self-cleaning function on the stain tool was also fantastic. It was incredibly easy to use and took almost no effort. You basically just run it and the machine cleans itself. It was quick, simple, and worked really well, which makes cleanup after using it so much easier. Overall, I loved using this cleaner. It's powerful, lightweight, easy to maintain, and honestly fun to use. Between the steam feature, strong suction, and simple self-cleaning cycle, it made carpet cleaning feel much less like a chore.
