I used the hydro steamer to clean my area rugs after being in storage for several months. The machine was easy to assemble and fill and mix appropriate stain and odor solution. Though a little heavy when full it was easy to maneuver with generous sized wheels. The solution spread evenly and I could see the stains disappearing as I worked. The steam is visible. I followed Bissell recommended processes for carpet cleaning, including vacuuming, and had dry clean pleasant smelling rugs in a day. The machine has excellent suction for liquid extraction which helps rugs dry faster. No soppy mess anywhere. My rugs varied in size, materials, and pile height, everything from low pile runner to thick area rug. I have two large dogs so it was important to remove odors. I only had to go over each rug once. I let the machine and solution do the work. Cleaning the machine after use was super easy. I am very pleased and highly recommend this product.

My new Bissell Revolution® HydroSteam® Upright Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner has extended the life of my carpet! I was contemplating replacing my dingy, stained carpet, but it wasn't in my budget for 2026. I decided to take a chance and invest in a carpet cleaner instead. The risk was if the carpet cleaner did work, I would need to spend additional money on replacement. Iwas delighted with the results! My carpet is clean, fresh and stain-free.

It immediately extracted a large stained area from an old leaky (Bissell) cleaner that I had just replaced with this new steam cleaner. I totally shocked me on how well it removed the old stain on an off-white carpet with the first pass! Best Bissell carpet cleaner I have ever bought!! Great product

I was hesitant, but we decided to take the risk. This is an awesome carpet cleaner. It picked up old tar stains, refreshed our carpets and they were dry in just a few hours. I am extremely happy with our choice. Bissel is the best.

I am very pleased. I ow 2 vacation rentals, and I'm very particular about the cleanliness. Including the area rugs. This rug cleaning machine is fantastic. I feel like the steam is a necessary addition to a rug cleaner.

This machine does a great job cleaning your carpets! It even took out stains that have been there for awhile! Highly recommend!

cleaned really good, saw patterns in rug that were not visible before cleaning, it is heavy to pull. I am 70 and it tired me out.

Excellent. Good cord length. Excellent cleaning. Good water extraction. Very maneuverable. Easy to use, fill and empty. The on board steam seems to really help with cleaning. My favorite carpet machine so far.

With the steam function, cleaning was better than expected! The suction was adequate and drying time was good. Stair attachment was better than previous models i've had. Got it on sale which made the purchase even better!!

I have mixed feelings about this rug cleaner. The upright steam function is most excellent at cleaning even the dirtiest of carpets it doesn't do too bad of a job sucking the water back out and drying if you put a fan on it is relatively reasonable. Unfortunately when I went to do my couch with the handheld device I very quickly learned that the water is neither heated nor steam coming out of the hand tools. This is a serious disappointment with this device as I was hoping to use this to steam out my automobile carpets but this is no better than hot water stain remover and a wet or dry vac. In my opinion they really need to work on this because as an upright it's excellent but the hand tools should have the same hot water afforded the rest of it.
